BRADLEY D. GOBLE

WINAMAC, IN - Bradley D. “Brad” Goble, 62, died Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, Indiana. He was born December 30, 1961 in Logansport, Indiana, to the late William C. “Bill” and Sandra S. (Dillman) Goble. On May 2, 1982, at St. Luke Lutheran Church, he married Lorri L. Reinholt.

Brad was a 1980 graduate of Winamac High School. He spent his whole life working alongside his father at Goble GMC, Inc. and retired in 2020. He spent many years serving on the Winamac Volunteer Fire Department. He liked playing golf league at Moss Creek, hunting, trapping, fishing, collecting antique wares, relaxing on the Tippecanoe River and spending time with his friends and family. He was well known for his quick wit and sarcasm.

He is survived by his wife, Lorri, two daughters: Brandy L. (Kyle Sefchek) Goble of Winamac and Hanna K. Goble of Charleston, South Carolina, one son, B. Palmer (fiancée Tabitha Medrano) Goble of Winamac, two grandsons and one brother, J. Kirby (Henry) Goble of Indianapolis, Indiana. He was preceded in death by one infant son, Blake Bradley Goble and two brothers: William O. “Billy” Goble and Gregory C. “Greg” Goble.

Private services were held at Frain Mortuary and private burial was held in the Winamac Cemetery (McKinley Addition). Memorial contributions may be made to the Winamac Town Park or Friends of the Tippecanoe River State Park.

Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

BONNIE M. CRIST

WINAMAC, IN - Bonnie M. Crist, 80, died Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her home.

She is survived by her husband, James A. Crist, four daughters: C. Sue Crist of Star City, Indiana, Catherine M. Postma and Charlotte A. Scott, both of Winamac and Lily R. Mansfield of LaPaz, Indiana, many grandkids and great grandkids.

Private burial will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery South in Pulaski, Indiana.

Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

PAUL W. HASKINS

KNOX, IN - Paul W. Haskins, 73, died Monday, May 13, 2024. He was born March 25, 1951, in Frankfort, Indiana, to the late Wilbur and Barbara (Wampler) Haskins. On December 11, 1971, he married Diana Fields. Paul was the former owner-operator of Peoples IGA Grocery Store in Knox and had also retired from Galfab in Winamac, Indiana. He loved riding his Harley, boating, fishing, gardening, trains, spending time with his fur babies, watching his grandkids play softball and baseball and was a huge Chicago Cubs fan.

He is survived by his wife, Diana, children: Shay Haskins of Knox and Kasi (Steve) Decker of Winamac, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three sisters: Janice (Jarrel) Waymire of Elwood, Indiana, Deanna (Jim) Chinn of Anderson, Indiana and Bobbie Sue (Larry) Evans of Tallahassee, Florida. He was preceded in death by two brothers: Mark and Wilbur Haskins.

Services were held Saturday, May 18, at M.C. Smith Funeral Home. Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.

MATTHEW K. TOOSLEY

MOUNDSVILLE, WV - FORMERLY

OF KNOX, IN - Matthew K. Toosley, 43, died Monday, May 18, 2024. He was born August 5, 1980, in Indiana, to David and Ellizabeth (Toosley) Patrick.

Matthew was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Moundsville, West Virginia and enjoyed working, going to church and spending time with his family. He had worked as a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Zoe, three daughters: Chloe Toosley of Michigan City, Indiana, Kadence Toosley of Monticello, Indiana and Jaylen Morgan of Moundsville, one son, Logan Morgan of Moundsville, his mother, Elizabeth Patrick of Knox, Indiana and three sisters: Candice (Brandon) Williams of Rochester, Indiana, Michelle Rector of Francesville, Indiana and Ashley Rector of Rensselaer, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, David Patrick and one brother, Chase Rector.

Services were held Monday, May 20, at Braman & Son Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Rick Helton officiating. Burial was in the Eagle Creek Cemetery in Knox. Memorials may be made to the family.

Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.

OTTO JAMES RUFF

STAR CITY, IN - Otto James Ruff, 85, died Thursday, May 16, 2024. He was born May 15, 1939, in Logansport, Indiana, to the late Herald Francis “Hap” and Gertrude Regina (Shultz) Ruff. On November 12, 1960, in Lafayette, Indiana, he married Donna Joann White.

Ott was a 1957 graduate of Star City High School. He was employed at Dean Foods and then Wilson Foods and ran a vending route. He enjoyed coaching Star City Little League, showing livestock, helping on the family farm, fishing in Northern Minnesota, playing marbles and competing in antique tractor pulls. He was an avid IU basketball fan and animal lover and he also loved ice cream. He loved his family very much. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pulaski, Indiana and a longtime member of the Star City Volunteer Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, three sons: Ricky Joseph Ruff, James Jay (Sheila) Ruff and Robert Jon (Shamay) Ruff, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one sister, Margery Ann Penn.

Services were held Tuesday, May 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Dennis Faker officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph Cemetery West in Pulaski. Memorials may be made to the Pulaski Animal Center or Warrior Youth Basketball.

Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.

SCOTTY ESKRIDGE

KNOX, IN - Scotty Eskridge, 73, died March 8, 2024, after a brief illness. He was born March 29, 1950, in Knox, Indiana, to the late Victor and Avenell Eskridge.

Scotty traveled all over the world with the United States Air Force for 37 years and received several medals and awards for his service. He loved the outdoors and his horses. He was a long time member of the Golden Horseshoe Saddle Club. He loved having coffee every morning and afternoon at Christos with his friends.

He is survived by one son, Walter (Michelle) Eskridge, three grandchildren, one great granddaughter and one sister, Vickie. He was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 25 at 10am CT, at the Golden Horseshoe Saddle Club in Knox.

Arrangements were made by M.C. Smith Funeral Home in Knox.
