Obituaries MICHAEL E. COOPER

MONTICELLO, IN - Michael E. “Mike” Cooper, 71, died Saturday, December 16, 2023, at his home. He was born November 7, 1952, in Logansport, Indiana, to Edwin and Marilyn S. (Draper) Cooper. In 1973, he married Mary C. Stinson. They divorced but lived together as friends until her passing in 2007. Mike was a US Navy Veteran and served his country proudly. He had worked at Bassett Rotary and Tool for many years until it’s closing. He is survived by one son, Michael A. Cooper, one step daughter, Kimberly Riggs and one step son, Patrick Brown, all of Frankfort, Indiana, one granddaughter, ten step grandchildren, six brothers: Mark Cooper of Delphi, Indiana, Mitch (Lil) Cooper of Burnettsville, Indiana, Monte, Matthew and Mauri (Lisa) Cooper, all of Monticello and Bob Pemberton of Monon, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edwin Cooper and Marilyn S. Cooper-Frank, one step daughter, Glenda Perry, two step sons: Randy and Bill Brown, one step great grandson, Nathan Brown and siblings: Marlene Altman and Marshall Cooper. A memorial celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Monticello Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge (FOE) #2570. Memorial contributions may be made to the family and can be dropped off at the FOE Lodge. Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac, Indiana.

JEFFREY CHARLES HENDERSON

MONTICELLO, IN - Jeffrey Charles “Hubba” Henderson, 56, died Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Northwest Health Portage Hospital in Portage, Indiana. He was born August 13, 1967, at Beale AFB in California to Charles L. “Ron” and Rayanna (Clouser) Henderson. On September 27, 2003, in Winamac, Indiana, he married Viola Mae Floyd. Jeff was a 1986 graduate of Winamac High School, where he was active in football, wrestling and track & field. He studied automotive technology at Northwest Ohio Technology School. He enjoyed Scouting and had achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a member of the Pulaski County ABATE and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a longtime truck driver for Tippecanoe Beverage and Hopkins Trucking and was currently employed at Van Meter Trucking. Jeff enjoyed camping, hunting, shooting, riding around on his golf cart and spending time with his friends and family and his dogs. He is survived by his wife, Viola, one son, Jeffrey Carl (Micah) Henderson of Valparaiso, Indiana, one daughter, Mara Henderson of Royal Center, Indiana, two grandchildren, his mother, Rayanna Henderson of Valparaiso and two sisters: Jennifer (Jeremy) Pape of Valparaiso and Josie (Scott) McLaughlin of Chesterton, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles L. “Ron” Henderson and grandparents: Ernest and Alladean (Kroft) Clouser and Clifford and Elizabeth (Avery) Henderson. Private family graveside services will be held at the Winamac Cemetery (Southlawn Addition) in Winamac. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with recent medical expenses for Jeff. Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary in Winamac.
