DAVID E. MORRISON

MEDARYVILLE, IN - David E. “Davey”

Morrison, 65, died Wednesday, March

13, 2024, at Northwest Health Porter Hospital in Valparaiso, Indiana. He was born February 13, 1959, in Blue Island, Illinois, to the late David I. and Lottie (Miller) Morrison.

Davey was a 1978 graduate of West Central High School in Francesville and had worked his entire life as a truck driver.

He is survived by one brother, Kenneth (Pamela) Morrison, one sister, Jacqueline Morrison, one step daughter, Tiffany Meadows and six step grandchildren.

Visitation from 12 Noon-2pm EDT,

Wednesday, March 20, at Teaberry Hill Estates Church, with services starting at 2, with Pastors Elmer Conley and Johnny Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery in North Judson, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to Teaberry Hills Estates Church.

Arrangements were made by Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel in Medaryville.

EDWARD WALSH

KNOX, IN - Edward Walsh, 92, died Friday, March 8, 2024 in Knox, Indiana. He was born February 21, 1932, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Thomas William and Winifred (Sheridan) Walsh.

Ed was a member of the pinochle club in Knox and enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Stone.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at Crown Hill Cemetery in Knox.

Arrangements were made by Braman & Son Memorial Chapel in Knox.

CHRIS W. CUMMINS

FRANCESVILLE, IN - Chris W.

Cummins, 64, died Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in Franciscan Health Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana, following a brave battle with cancer. He was born in Jefferson Township in Pulaski County, Indiana to Roscoe “Bud” and Alice M. (Dahn) Cummins. On March 2, 1990, in Francesville, he married Beth (Sutton) Roberts.

Chris was a 1977 graduate of West Central High School in Francesville. He was a member of the Francesville First Christian Church. He had worked with his father at C&L Motors in Medaryville, Indiana and was a supervisor at Monon Trailer in Monon, Indiana and was a laborer for Houston Davis installing drain tile. He was a longtime employee at Standard Auto Parts in Winamac, Indiana. For 22 years he was the manager of the Auto Value Store in Rensselaer, Indiana. Chris was a licensed pilot with a passion for flying and building airplanes He was a member and president of Rensselaer Experimental Aircraft Association (EEA) and was a member of the Cessna 150 Club and received several awards for being a “Top Gun Pilot”. He was active in the Young Eagles program and received high recognition for his integrity and kindness by fellow pilots and friends. He was an avid golfer, talented builder and painter and had a gift for restoring automobiles. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son and brother.

He is survived by his wife, Beth, one daughter, Nichole (Douglas) Perdue of Fortville, Indiana, three grandchildren, one step grandchild, two great granddaughters, his

Palm Sunday commemorates when Jesus entered Jerusalem and was greeted by people waving palm branches. This event serves as a reminder for Christians to welcome Jesus into their hearts and be ready to follow Him. The Palm Sunday service also includes a reading of the Passion, which narrates the story of Jesus' suffering and crucifixion.

Palm Sunday is a Christian holiday that occurs on the Sunday before Easter. This celebration celebrates Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, mentioned in each of the four Gospels. Jesus entered the city knowing He would be tried and crucified and welcomed His fate to rise from the grave and save us from sin! Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week, the remembrance of Jesus' last days.

In many churches, Palm Sunday is observed with the blessing and sharing of palm branches, symbolizing the branches placed in front of Christ as he entered Jerusalem.

Let us praise God for sending His Son to earth, Jesus' sacrifice for our sins, and our eternal life in Christ through faith.
