Current NTEA distributor and manufacturer members are encouraged to apply for MVP status at any time. There is no charge — NTEA underwrites the cost of MVP as part of an ongoing effort to enhance the core competencies of its members. Once qualified, companies receive MVP status for a three-year term. To renew, MVP members must again document compliance, ensuring their ongoing commitment to professionalism, industry knowledge and high performance.

In keeping with the goal to continuously increase program value, NTEA enhanced qualification requirements, effective Jan. 1, 2021, for first-time applicants. Companies renewing MVP status do not need to comply with changes until Jan. 1, 2022.

Chassis OEMs present new model year updates at NTEA’s Truck Product Conference

FARMINGTON HILLS, MICH. — Nine chassis manufacturers will share the latest commercial vehicle updates from a technical and engineering perspective at NTEA’s 2021 Truck Product Conference. This in-person event will be held Sept. 21-22 in a new location at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Sandusky, Ohio.

Attendees can gain insights on upcoming changes to new model work trucks and upfitter integration implications from chassis OEMs. Presenters will share product upgrades and launches, positions on technical issues and key body builder information.

“Installing equipment on a chassis is not a simple task,” said Kevin Koester, NTEA senior director. “Model year changes at the OEM level can have a large impact on the ability to quickly and correctly mount bodies and equipment on a chassis. Truck Product Conference is an opportunity for equipment manufacturers and distributors to directly engage chassis OEMs, gaining important technical insights to help the upfitting process.”

This year’s event features a two-day program with opportunities to see the newest vehicles firsthand, participate in Q&A with chassis OEM representatives, and network with commercial vehicle professionals.

Participating chassis manufacturers

• Crane Carrier, a Battle Motors Company • Ford Commercial Vehicles • General Motors Fleet • Hino Trucks • International Truck • Isuzu Commercial Truck of America • Kenworth Truck Company • Peterbilt Motors Company • Ram Commercial
