Hey Sue, Saw you were looking for fishing pics, so here are a couple of our most memorable ones. My son Owen’s first Muskie (34”) and my daughter Madeline’s biggest (48”)—both caught on bucktail lures by Klein island. We fell in love with Webster after a fishing trip eight years ago, and bought a place in Miller’s Landing. Keep up the good work, love the magazine!

–Randal Bogathy

Thank you for the great fishing pics, Randal! (And how can one NOT fall in love with Webster?!) Thank you again!

Just got here to open for 2022 and saw your adorable magazine cover on my end table! I’ll keep it there all summer as it matches so well and everyone loves to read it! Thank you!

When we become décor for the home, we consider that the highest compliment. Thank you!

We have been a lake family for nearly 100 years on Yellow Creek Lake.

YOURS is the kind of story we love to hear about! 100 years… what a beautiful history.

Hi SueMy family (The Alderfer’s) has had a house on the lake since the ‘60s, and last summer my son, Weston, (4 years old at the time) was determined to catch his first fish! With the help of a trusty old Boston Whaler, his dream came true. He would be ecstatic to see himself in a magazine! Cheers, –Emily

HERE YOU GO, fisherguy WESTON! Congratulations on your first fish; great job! My family has owned property on Kuhn Lake since my mom was pregnant with me in 1954. We treasure our lake time. Your magazine is delightful, small print and all. The photos are great. The restaurant recommendations and local interviews are great.

The event schedules are great. BUT the small print? I read it first.

–Cindy Oler

Whoah! We’re up to four readers who don’t overlook the small print! Thanks for joining the ‘club,’ Cindy. :)

Hi Sue, Just wanted to say great job on helping to produce such a nice publication! We've advertised twice in it now and it's always fun to look for our ad and read the articles. Also, I read your page at the beginning and noticed you said "fresh local eats".... if you ever need locally-grown beef, let me know! Have a good day,

–Katie, Crestview Farms

Without you there is no us… thank you for supporting us, Katie, and thanks to all advertisers who keep us ‘afloat!’ It’s a huge team effort, and on behalf of the whole LAKElife crew, we thank you for your kind words. (And heck yes, to buyin’ some beef!) Hi Sue. Finally got off the road to enjoy our latest LAKElife. We are full-timers now as of December and this early April shot sums up why it’s been our dream! Keep up the beautiful work, especially the photos and the masthead; I’ll have to ask Bill Barnhorst for the backstory. Truly a beautiful magazine in a time when the printed word is a stegosaurus. Thank you!

–Bill McCully

FIVE masthead READERS! WE’RE UP TO FIVE! Truly, thank you so much for your kind words, Bill. (And thanks for not using the analogy of a t-rex named Sue.)
