Matching up
In the hope someone out there can find a way to use this idea, I am submitting it to Speak Out.
I’ve already notified the political person who I thought could help, but it was tossed right back to me, only saying it was a good idea. I see children and youth who would love to have someone to connect with so they could share how they’re doing in school, sports, music, activities. A Grandpa/Grandma person in their life could make a big difference in feeling valued.
I see senior citizens in nursing homes who are lonely and would love to have someone to be in touch with. So why couldn’t there be a match-up? It could be limited to texts or calls, to avoid any concerns of in-person meetings.
Most everyone has cellphones or access these days.
Only fair
I still think the elderly should be getting another stimulus and that is only fair for what you guys are doing to everybody else in this country.
Trust science?
To the writer of “Will continue” I dare you to read the Newsweek. com article “Dr. Fauci Backed Controversial Wuhan Lab with U.S. Dollars for Risky Coronavirus Research” written by Fred Guterl 4/28/20 and then post your thoughts about trusting science.
Did you know Pfizer, BioNTech and Moderna are making $1,000 profit every second here while the world’s poorest countries remain largely unvaccinated because there is no money there? Pfizer expects to make nearly as much money from vaccines in 2021 as it earned in total in 2020. Did you know the largest political campaign donors by far are big pharma?
And you want me to trust science!
No sense
authority to call in the police. Yet let’s blame Pelosi for what has often been labeled a “picnic?” They preach against welfare. Yet how many states have increased benefits for those who might lose their job because of vaccine mandates? If the Democrats tried that the response would be well, get a job that doesn’t require mandates. Period.
Back home in Indiana, our legislators, who claim to respect the police so well, won’t listen to them when it comes to guns. They want to do away with gun registration. What professional group says this is a good idea?
Revealing
It has been said crisis like a pandemic will create character. That is not really what happens.
Rather a crisis reveals character. We are divided now into two groups. The pro-life group who conscientiously wears masks and gets vaccinated to protect themselves, but especially other human beings such as the elderly and those with fragile immune systems. Then there is the pro-death group who don’t care about their own wellbeing or others around them either.
With the help of GOP governors who seem bound and willing to kill off their voting base it’s become a kind of GOP death march. Trying to get your head around this kind of reasoning will leave you frazzled. People in red states are dying at a much faster rate than in blue states where people are protected with smart policies.
The first responsibility of government is to protect their citizens lives.
Informed=free
Go to rumble.com and watch the video episode 1,602 “The Big Short - Pfizer & Moderna the New Enron, Are Criminal Charges Defensible.”
In it you will learn the extent of corruption and misinformation descending on us from our scientific and political leaders. You will also be surprised there is an economic/ financial element connected to this by design (at the 19:20 minute mark) and is clearly explained by Notre Dame graduate Edward Dowd who has a successful and diverse resume with investing.
He feels global debt is nearing the breaking point which will lead to civil unrest. He also reveals 50% of the FDA’s budget comes from big pharma forcing the FDA to comply with their demands opening the door for corporate financial gain. Remember, they refuse to release the clinical data used to approve the vaccines.
An informed society will remain a free society.
Need to pray
I am tired of all the belly aching, crabbing, name calling, finger pointing, bemoaning, I read in “Speak Out about our leaders.
The Bible is very clear as to our responsibilities regarding leadership. Read 1 Timothy 2:1-3. “For kings and all who are in authority.” As my mother used to say what part of “all” don’t you understand? Pray for them. Not just the nice ones, the ones you like, the evil ones, the dull ones, the good ones, all. Please?
As an old country pastor I once knew used to say, “I need the prayers and you need the practice?”
Scary
There two bars in Nappanee where either the bartenders have COVID, have had it, are hospitalized some right now and the other bar a lot of the people who have COVID are now going over there too.
That is scary.
Good articles
Two good articles published at greenwald.substack.com by liberal Glenn Greenwald.
One reveals how liberal media are rehabilitating neocons and elevating them as thought leaders. Liberals are using the neocons framework to accuse opponents of U.S. involvement in Ukraine treasonous. Their most influential pundit in liberal political life is former Bush speech writer David Frum now at The Atlantic and CNN. Imagine that!
The other exposes how liberals are obsessed with finding ways to silence and censor their adversaries. For years their preferred censorship tactic was to expand and distort the concept of hate speech to mean “views that make us uncomfortable,” and then demand such views be prohibited on that basis. The newest censorship framework is to claim their targets are guilty of spreading misinformation. These terms by design have no clear or concise meaning.
Like the term “terrorism,” it is their elasticity that makes them so useful. woman, isn’t that racist? Shouldn’t this pick be open to all, white, black, Indian, Hispanic? Let’s throw cuffs on that racist.
Put him in jail where he belongs.
You are wrong
Hey “In denial,” you can lie all you want about Trump, but that doesn’t change the truth.
I will quote for you from an article from BBC.com: “The Department of Justice charge Igor Danchenko, 43, with lying to the FBI. He was detained as part of an inquiry into the origins of baseless claims that Mr. Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election. The so-called Steele Dossier was used by the FBI to obtain surveillance warrants on a top Trump aide.” It goes on to say “Mr. Steele was hired to conduct the research through a law firm on behalf of Mr. Trump’s political opponents, including the campaign of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic candidate in the 2016 election. Mr. Steele has previously defended his work, but recently acknowledged to ABC News “not everything in the dossier is 100% accurate.”
You are wrong, period.
A chuckle
Commenter said Hillary had nothing to do with the Russian hoax. That facts “don’t hinge on the Steele dossier.”
I had to chuckle at this falsehood. Brings to mind an old statement. You can lead a liberal to the fountain of knowledge but he will only urinate in it.
Jail him
A young beautiful Indian maiden’s picture was taken off Land ‘O Lakes butter package because it is racist and Aunt Jemima’s pleasant photo was taken off of the pancake mix because it is racist.
Since President Biden announced his Supreme Court pick for Justice Breyer will be a black
Trump people
The “Evidence” caller can’t seem to understand how Trump could have persuaded rioters who were attacking police and storming the Capitol to stop.
It’s simple. He could have stood in front of a camera and told them to stop — which eventually he did, sort of, after an unexplained twohour delay.
Trump had worked up his crowd by lying for weeks about the election. Then he promised to accompany them to the Capitol building, but reneged, going, instead, to the White House to watch the action on TV and ignore frantic pleas from Congressional Republicans and family members to do something. Contrary to this caller’s claim, Trump knew exactly what was happening.
The rioters are Trump people, which his suggestion he might pardon them if only he gets reelected proves (as if proof were still needed). Antifa isn’t a factor in this.
The worst
Biden is unequivocally the worst president in our history.
Our southern border is wide open to anyone who cares to live off the American taxpayer including criminals and terrorists. Inflation is at a 40-year high with sky high prices on everything from gasoline to groceries. The supply chain is abysmal with bare shelves in stores.
It is open season on our police with radical Democrats letting criminals go free and not funding our police departments. Our infrastructure is pathetic with bridges collapsing and nothing being done to improve highways, bridges, airports, etc., even though Biden is bragging about his infrastructure bill.
They allow books in our schools regarding race theory, socialism and material from communist Black Lives Matter into the classroom. Throw the radical Democrats out of office in November and elect those who will abide by our Constitution and make this country great.
Folks in these countries consider themselves as Christian countries when they are constantly shooting, stabbing, burning. It makes no sense to me whatsoever.
Get over it
All you Trump lovers, he lost the election.
Get over it. Let’s move on.
And another comment from a couple of weeks ago a person said New York City was the biggest city in America. That is not true. Mexico City is the largest city in America. New York City is the largest city in the United States.
Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion.
Can’t figure it out
As a Democrat I disagree with Republicans on a lot of issues. However, lately I have not been able to figure some of what they are doing.
There was no insurrection. Yet even “Moscow” Mitch had the
