This kitchen remodel done by the Granite State Cabinetry team completely transformed this lovely home. The removal of a wall created a new open concept allowing for an abundance of natural light to enter the space. Many homeowners are now looking to eliminate their formal dining room and turn this oftenwasted square footage into a larger kitchen. Not only does this allow for more storage, larger appliances, and multi-user access, it also cultivates a more relaxed atmosphere for entertaining. The layering of amazing new finishes in this space will “wow” you. New wide-plank natural maple flooring establishes the color palette for this bright new space the homeowner was dreaming of. Whitney Nelson of Granite State Cabinetry used a two-tone approach for the inset cabinetry, giving this family a large island to seat four and a coffee bar using quartersawn white oak all in Cabico cabinetry. An angelic light gray paint was used to soften the space on the perimeter cabinets. Don’t let the door style go unnoticed – a modern twist on the classic shaker with a unique beveled edge. With a tasteful mix of black hardware, brass lighting fixtures, and sleek new stainless appliances, this kitchen is embellished for lasting appeal.
Modern farmhouse creativity was showcased in the coffee bar with exciting features such as the hexagonal mesh wiring in the upper cabinets, the charming latch-style hardware, and patterned tile backsplash that complements this homeowner’s comfortable, large club chairs that are tempting and cozy enough for an afternoon nap!

This home encapsulates everything we love about New England colonials. From its pitched roof, dormer windows, symmetrical façade, and front porch columns, you would only expect the interior to be just as charming – and that’s exactly the case in this home on French Drive! These homeowners have an exceptional eye for carefully curated furniture, décor, and artwork. It’s no wonder they selected Granite State Cabinetry for their remodel as they were looking for a timeless design using high-quality materials.
Jackie Friberg from Granite State Cabinetry knew that inset cabinetry was the best option for the style of their home – it’s how the first ever cabinets were crafted in the 18th-century Victorian era – with the doors and drawers sitting flush within their frames. To add some depth and visual interest, Jackie worked with these clients to get a custom color match on their island after they fell in love with Benjamin Moore’s color “Abyss.” She knew they had an appreciation for Earth-made materials and helped them select the perfect slab of genuine marble for their countertops, pairing it with smaller marble tiles for the full-height backsplash. By disguising the refrigerator and dishwasher with matching cabinet panels, they hurdled the risk of exposing too much stainless steel, which seemed too modern for the space. The GSC team was able to keep the beautiful existing island pendants and accentuate them with brass pulls on every door and drawer.
Take a step into their formal dining room and you’ll notice two side-by-side dry bars to match the island, with eclectic, antique mirror subway tile and gold mesh cabinet doors. Whether they offer their guests a glass of wine, a martini, or a bourbon on the rocks, their paneled wine cooler and hidden icemaker leave their guests ooh’ing and aww’ing.

This charming craftsman-style home built by Douglas Hill Construction, set against the backdrop of the Pulpit Conservation area is the empty nest home of a couple who moved from Maryland in 2022. As you travel down the driveway, take a peek into the beautifully landscaped pool area. As you enter through the front door, the large stone fireplace gives a cozy feel to the family room with a vaulted ceiling and loft above. The wide-plank luxury vinyl flooring offers a natural wood appearance with the endurance that the vinyl provides.
The kitchen has a large Venetia Cream quartz island with Cabico’s Hazelnut-stained cherry cabinets as its centerpiece for entertaining and family meals. The island contains a Hitachi microwave drawer, and ample cabinets provide plenty of additional storage.
The kitchen contains Bosch appliances including a double oven, dishwasher, and gas range. The cabinetry designed by Kathleen Costello and installed by Granite State Cabinetry includes a pantry with pull-out shelves and plenty of storage for kitchen tools and cookware. The glass front cabinets boast colorful dinnerware and serving dishes. Floating shelves allow an aesthetic complement and a convenient way to store cookbooks and other kitchen accessories, and the custom-designed tile backsplash by Artistic Tile adds unique color and pulls the kitchen design together with the coffee bar.

This brand-new build by Rich Chiocca of Chiocca Homes, belongs to a lovely young couple who have just moved in!
Granite State Cabinetry thought it would be refreshing to have a new construction home on the tour and this year they were lucky enough to have two!
These busy parents of two little ones kindly agreed to have their home on the tour to showcase the options of starting off with a blank slate.
Whitney Nelson of Granite State Cabinetry welcomed this project with open arms and understood their wish list items for a functional yet fun kitchen. They wanted to keep a neutral pallet, ensuring they would love it for many years to come. Having two wall ovens was important as this busy mom and dad do a lot of cooking and plan to host many cozy family gatherings. The farmhouse sink sports a unique chrome, coil spring faucet on the island adding to the spotlight. Then for a little personality, the unique backsplash design above the cooktop uses a herringbone pattern for that extra special touch. Whitney and her clients agreed on using a simple door style with a slightly beveled edge in a light gray color and doing a custom stain for the white oak island – all Cabico Essence Cabinetry. Behind the kitchen is a generous-sized walk-in pantry for additional storage, keeping things organized, streamlined and accessible.

This beautiful, classic kitchen was designed by Jackie Friberg of Granite State Cabinetry. It simply sparkles with a combination of Cabico Unique’s “Chantilly” painted finish, along with glass accents and a stunning wooden hood design. Notice the dazzling countertops, Super White Quartzite, which tremendously brighten up this previously unilluminated space. The backsplash is another timeless feature, Carrara Bella Marble in a honed finish displayed in different sizes at the bar, which was supplied by Artistic Tile in Nashua, NH. This kitchen draws a perfect parallel of aesthetics with extraordinary culinary convenience. Bring your attention to the dual wall ovens from Wolf, a discreetly integrated Sharp microwave drawer, and a gleaming 36” Wolf cooktop, which gives the kitchen that luxurious, professional-grade feel when these homeowners are cooking their family-favorite meals. Off the kitchen, you’ll see a lovely butler’s pantry, used to store plenty of overstock items and small appliances at easy reach for these busy parents of two children. The space now serves as a wonderful place to gather with a delightful seating area for cozy family dinners. The bar is an impressive, advantageous spot for entertaining guests with an under-counter refrigerator and spacious upper and lower cabinets for superior organization. Lighting fixtures should never be an afterthought in any home project, as they can drastically change not only the look of the kitchen but the overall atmosphere. Jackie and the homeowners felt this kitchen certainly called for some statement lighting from Just Lights in Nashua, NH as the final enhancement to this gorgeous kitchen!

Tucked away in the heart of Goffstown, when entering this home, you’ll immediately be impressed with how spacious and inviting it feels, and seeing the “before” picture, you’ll wonder if it’s even the same house! Patrick and Emily Turcotte – owner of Lights Up Seasonal Lighting – hired Granite State Cabinetry for their creative talents to transition the entire first level (except the living room) into one large concept area.
Luckily for Patrick and Emily, their neighbor across the street happens to be Dave Cookman, one of Granite State Cabinetry’s expert project managers. Dave and Patrick worked their magic to demo and handle the scope of work. They added new floorto-ceiling architectural windows and brand-new double doors to have better access to their incredible, entertainment-focused backyard!
Their kitchen designer Kelly Ladd of Granite State Cabinetry, worked to create that modern farmhouse vibe that Emily was always drawn to. Since the “work triangle” no longer makes sense in the age of large kitchens, we now design with “workstations”, where appliances and storage are conveniently located for the task at hand. Notice the porcelain apron sink on the island to assist in the primary prep area nearest the cooktop. The sink on the back wall now becomes solely the dishwashing workstation. The powder room also had a facelift and became larger than before, featuring a rustic alder furniture-style vanity.

As you take a walk down the driveway leading to this splendid craftsman-style home on a quiet cul-de-sac on Marcel Way, you’ll be greeted by a large, luscious front yard and an expansive white fence. You’ll notice the rustic, fieldstone façade, arched doors and windows, and charming dormers all along the second story.
This kitchen was a team effort with the cabinet design done by Whitney Nelson of Granite State Cabinetry, and finish selections done in collaboration with the homeowner and interior designer Debra McLaughlin of Birch Home Staging & Design. Prior to this project, the kitchen felt dated – with dark stained cabinets and tall, heavy crown molding. It was important to the homeowner to keep certain elements of the kitchen true to the home’s unique style, while making it feel brighter and more spacious.
This powerhouse team selected warm white cabinetry by Cabico for the perimeter which gives the range a much sharper presence and a stand-alone wood hood in a bold, contrasting color to match the island. The shape of the island is not one you see every day, but it allows for a whopping total of eight seats as this homeowner loves hosting large groups of her friends and family. To the left of the window, Whitney gave the cabinet down the counter that daring pop of black on the door frames, helping complete the visual composition of the room. With new maple hardwood flooring elongated in a diagonal direction, spunky geometric pendant lights, and a glossy hexagonal tile backsplash, this kitchen has the perfect touch of modern features while still keeping the integrity of the home – such as keeping the existing arched window above the sink and incorporating that wood tones in the selection of bar stools that were chosen by this epic female team of designers!

This kitchen has one of the most unique footprints on this year’s tour, giving the term “eat-in kitchen” a whole new vibe.
The eye-catching L-shaped island branching out allows for a fun group of six. Designed by Whitney Nelson of Granite State Cabinetry, she and the homeowners first established the bones of the kitchen by choosing a door style that would pay homage to classic Shaker furniture – clean lines and emphasized utility. This kitchen has an airy, transitional feel with lots of modern farmhouse elements.
You’ll notice a large three-foot apron-front sink and a full-height subway backsplash using glossy, textured ceramic tiles. Brass embellishments sparkle and add warmth throughout the space, being used on the faucet, pot-filler, cabinet pulls, and even on the brackets supporting the open shelving made of whitewashed white oak across from its matching island. With the refrigerator tucked away into the wall, and the microwave drawer and beverage cooler concealed in the island, everything in this kitchen feels flush, seamless, and classic. The small bubbly light pendants lead your eye into the direction of this homeowner’s cozy seating area, where the wall was opened up to make the first floor feel bigger and brighter!
