PARKING There is a charge of $10.00 for General Parking on Friday and Saturday. Pre-paid Race Day parking can also be purchased for $10.00 at the OC Lifestyle & Fitness Expo. Race Day parking will be $10.00 if you have not purchased a pre-paid hang tag.
LATE REGISTRATION Participants can register online until midnight on Friday, April 29th. After this date, participants must come to the OC Lifestyle & Fitness Expo to register in person. THERE WILL NOT BE REGISTRATION ON SUNDAY FOR THE HALF OR FULL MARATHON.
PACKET PICK UP Participants will pick up their shirts, bibs, and goodie bags at the OC Lifestyle & Fitness Expo on Friday, April 29th, or Saturday, April 30th. There will be NO MARATHON OR HALF MARATHON Race Day pick up on Sunday morning! Participants will receive their bib numbers via email prior to the Expo. If participants do not have their bib number, they can look up their names on the alpha lists (provided by Race Central) as they enter the Expo. Once participants have their bib numbers, they will proceed to the corresponding registration table where they will need to provide a valid photo ID and sign a release waiver. Friends and family of participants may pick up packets for the participant only if they have a copy of the person’s ID printed out and a signed waiver for the OC Marathon. Waiver forms can be downloaded from the OC Marathon website at www.ocmarathon.com on the Registration Information page or on the OC Lifestyle & Fitness Expo page.
TECHNICAL SHIRTS AND RACE SHIRTS Technical race shirts are for Marathon and Half Marathon participants; 5K runners receive a tri-blend cotton shirt; sizes are guaranteed to only those who have pre-registered for the event. Race bibs will designate the type of shirt participant is to receive.
All runners are required to follow standard race etiquette and position themselves at the start according to their assigned wave. The waves will be assigned via the participant email sent two days prior to the OC Lifestyle & Fitness Expo. The fastest runners will be assigned the higher wave times, followed by progressively slower paced runners. There will be portable restrooms located on Newport Center Dr. near the Start Line. PARKING Parking will be available at the OC Fair & Event Center. (88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa, CA). We advise to park in Lots A, B or C, all accessed through the Main Gate off of Fair Drive. For ease, purchase Sunday’s $10 pre-paid parking pass while at the Expo! Race Day parking will be $10 if you do not have a pre-paid hang tag! There is ample parking at the Start Line for those who wish to park there. There will be plenty of shuttles back to the Start Line after the race. RACE RESULTS We're going green! To save paper, results will be available at the computer kiosks located in the Parade of Products and online by 5:00 pm at www.ocmarathon.com. FINISHER MEDALS Full, Half Marathon and OC 5K finishers will all receive a specialty handdesigned 2022 Finisher’s Medal. INFORMATION TENT For all questions and inquires, participants and spectators can visit the Volunteer/Information Tent at OC Fair & Event Center at the Finish Line. EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY A team of race photographers from Marathon-Photos Photography will be at key locations on the course including the Start and Finish Line to take official race photos. Make sure to attach your race bib in a visible location on your chest area so they can identify your photos and post them for your review. Following the event, Marathon Foto Photography will send you a link via email so you can directly view your race photos for purchase. AWARDS The top three male and female runners in each Full Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K age division will receive a special OC Marathon commemorative medal. Age group awards will also be given and can be picked up in the Santa Ana Pavilion.
LOST AND FOUND Items of value that have been turned in will be located at the Volunteer Tent at the OC Fair & Event Center. Unclaimed items will be at the OC Marathon office for one week after the event and then donated to charity. To claim your item, please call 949-222-3327 and leave a message with your bib number and the contents of the bag. We will check and get back to you before we donate anything. VOLUNTEERS Over 1,000 race volunteers come out and support the OC Marathon over the race weekend. Each volunteer will be wearing a bright yellow OC Marathon Volunteer T-shirt. Please feel free to ask them questions regarding the race, but understand they do not work for the OC Marathon and may not have all the answers to your questions.

After years of independent, successful careers and admiration for one another, Charlie Colin (Train), Stan Frazier (Sugar Ray) and Joel & Scott Owen (Pawn Shop Kings) decided to form a band and create original music together! START TIME: 5:30 AM SDCCU OC MARATHON COURSE CERTIFICATION # CA14059RS TIME LIMIT: 7 HOURS The SDCCU OC Marathon Course will start in front of our Official Start Line Hotel, the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa just south of Santa Barbara Drive. You will run through the beautiful coastal communities of Newport Beach, Costa Mesa and Santa Ana finishing off at the OC Fair and Event Center conveniently located just off the 55 freeway in the heart of Costa Mesa. POST-RACE: CELEBRATE OC FINISHLINE FESTIVAL with Flashback Heart Attack (80's Cover) The first mile of the OC Marathon course includes a breathtaking panorama of the Pacific Ocean before winding through the seaside village of Corona del Mar including the spectacular Ocean Blvd. with cliff side views of Big Corona del Mar State Beach. It traverses down Bayside Drive, past the Newport Harbor Yacht Club, and the homes and boats of Newport Harbor. Exceptional views await runners at the bluffs overlooking the Upper Newport Bay Estuary Reserve as are the supportive cheers of neighborhood residents. Marathoners continue into the heart of Orange County, Costa Mesa, passing by the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, around South Coast Plaza, and through the campus of Segerstrom High School. One more mile in Santa Ana before turning onto the Santa Ana River Trail for 1.5 miles before exiting at the Gisler foot-bridge. Runners will go through beautiful Mesa Verde neighborhoods and then the "Bird Streets", providing you with that much needed support on the home stretch towards the OC Fair & Event Center. SDCCU OC MARATHON IS A BOSTON QUALIFIER The Full Marathon course is net downhill in elevation from start to finish. The first 6.5 miles will be extremely fast with only minor inclines. Mile 6.5 to 7.0 is the only significant hill on the course taking the runners from 15 feet to 75 feet. The course is then mostly flat through mile 10.5 with a couple rolling hills to 11.5. There is another 45' incline at mile 14.5 over the 405 overpass and a 40' incline slightly over 1/4 of a mile in length at mile 23 after. These are all relatively small hills.

CHEERING TIPS!! Thinking about hosting a Marathon party along the course on Race Day? The following is a list of the must-haves: • Lawn and patio decorations • Encouraging signs, banners and balloons • Fun radio station and upbeat music • Musical instruments • Drums, harmonicas, bagpipes, guitars, saxophones, and trumpets • Noisemakers and party favors • Blow horns, kazoos, whistles, clappers and cowbells • Create a Theme, or Create a Team Cheer • Cheer signs and posters! • Water, water and more water! • Food, food and more food! • A loud voice!
VIEWING Mile 2 (Half Marathon/Full Marathon) Village of Corona Del Mar- Corona Del Mar Business District Along Coast Highway Corona Del Mar residents are encouraged to come out to view runners as they head south through Corona Del Mar, turn right on Narcissus Avenue out to Ocean Blvd, then up Carnation before running on Seaview Ave. to Marguerite Ave toward Bayside Drive. Mile 5 (Half Marathon/Full Marathon) Bayside Drive at Balboa Island The water station at Mile 5 is located just west of Bayside Drive and Jamboree, near Balboa Island bridge. Walk out from the Island or park in Bayside Center to watch runners pass and cheer them on. Mile 8 – 10.5 (Half Marathon/Full Marathon) Dover Shores area on Santiago Drive and Galaxy Drive Park in the Dover Shores area and walk out to the course which runs on Santiago Drive and Galaxy Drive. Watch the runners pass by two water stations located at Mile 8.5 and 9.5 and come cheer them on to the finish.
Mile 11.5 (Half Marathon/Full Marathon) Upper Newport Bay, Muth Interpretive Center, Irvine Avenue and University Drive The Intersection of Irvine Avenue and University Drive is closed to traffic for the duration of the race, but residents are encouraged to come out and cheer on the participants. Mile 16 (Marathon Only) Orange County Performing Arts Center Join everyone else and come cheer on the Full Marathon at the OC Performing Arts Center Campus Mile 16.5 South Coast Plaza, Sunflower Drive This is a great place to meet and cheer on the full marathoners. Park in the South Coast Plaza parking lot off of Sunflower Drive and join the South Coast Plaza team at their water station near Nordstroms. Bear avenue will be closed to traffic so enter off of Bristol. Mile 18 (Full Marathon) West Segerstrom Avenue Help cheer on the full marathoners as they head west on Segerstrom Mile 21 (Full Marathon) Moon Park Costa Mesa Join water station Mile 21 at Moon Park in Costa Mesa and help cheer on the full marathoners as they run down the Santa Ana River Trail Mile 22 (Full Marathon) Gisler Avenue and Mesa Verde Country Club Avenue Cheer on the full marathoners as they come off the Santa Ana River Trail and traverse the Mesa Verde neighborhood Mile 24 (Full Marathon) Costa Mesa Bird Streets and Merrimac Come help cheer on the full marathoners as they enter the Bird Streets of Costa Mesa and run past Orange Coast College. Residents are encouraged to come out and help the participants make their final sprint to the Finish!

5K Nina Zarina - Arlington, US 16:50 The SDDCU OC Marathon Elite Athlete program supports nationally ranked athletes, while highlighting their skills on one of the most scenic Southern California race courses. Elite athletes are invited based on verified personal records or national rankings. There is a minimum standard that must be met to be considered an elite. Qualifying elites are eligible to receive complimentary race entry, an elite bib number, VIP Start Line, and prize money for the top finisher.
