Day 1 After picking up locally we set off on our journey to Torquay with comfort stops en-route.

Day 2 Today we have a free day in Torquay. We shall drop you down in to town in the morning and return later to collect. The centre of Torquay has some excellent shopping, cafes and restaurants with an attractive waterfront area.

Day 3 Today we have an excursion including a drive along the spectacular coastline to Exeter. The compact city centre has plenty to discover - from the magnificent Cathedral to the historic quayside and superb shopping in the award winning Princesshay shopping centre.

Day 1 Our day starts with a visit to International Bomber Command Centre (IBCC) which has been created to provide a world-class facility to serve as a point for recognition, remembrance and reconciliation for Bomber Command. We then make our way to our hotel.

Day 2 Today we visit the historical Cathedral city of Lincoln with plenty of free time to explore everything this wonderful place has to offer. We will drop you by Brayford Waterfront which offers a wide range of eating and drinking venues situated around one of Lincoln’s most iconic and picturesque areas and is close to the town centre. We will then collect and transport you to the Cathedral quarter or if you prefer you can walk “Steep Hill” yourself take time to visit both the Cathedral and Castle.

Day 3 Off we set to Belton House, an exceptional example of restoration architecture with a world renowned library and collections of art, silver and ceramics. After our visit here we stop in the bustling prosperous market town of Stamford, with quaint streets, a unique blend of history, niche shopping and stunning Georgian architecture.

Day 4 We commence our journey home stopping at Springfields retail outlet in Spalding arriving home late evening.

Day 1 We make our way to one of the most famous cities in Great Britain, Liverpool. The home of the Beatles, The Royal Albert Docks, The Merseyside Maritime Museum, The Walker Art Gallery, The Tate Liverpool, and a ferry across The Mersey. Day 2 After a leisurely breakfast we travel to Boundary Mills designer named brands in fashion and homeware at greatly reduced price. Arriving home late afternoon all shopped out!

Day 1 After joining your tour coach we have a short visit to Chester before continuing to Llandudno, one of the most popular resorts in North Wales. A wonderful promenade a blue flag beach and the longest pier in Wales “croeso i Gymru” (welcome to Wales)

Day 2 We travel down the Vale of Conwy to North Wales most popular inland resort the quaint village of Bets-yCoed a wooded picturesque setting where three rivers meet. Leaving here we head for Llanberis a thriving, bustling, hive of activity where you will have free time to explore take in the local attractions like the Slate Museum and Electric Mountain.

Day 3 This is a great garden not to be missed. Bodnant Garden is perched above the River Conwy it has views across the valley to the Snowdonia National Park. Bodnant Garden, North Wales, one of the great British gardens, is a great day out for Garden lovers. Amongst the magnificent features there are no less than 5 terraces including lily pond and beautiful herbaceous borders. Arriving back early afternoon for free time.

Day 4 We bid “hwyl fawr” to North Wales and head on our homeward journey, stopping for a short break in Shrewsbury.

Day 1 As we travel to Scarborough, we make a short visit to a gem of a market town, Beverley renowned for its majestic Minster and independent shops.

Day 2 Today we travel back in time for a fun time at The Scarborough Fair Collection which hosts a magnificent working collection of Vintage Cars, Steam Engines, Vintage Fairground Rides (some of which still work… time for a ride) and Mechanical Organs. Try your luck in the penny arcade. The afternoon is free to explore Scarborough.

Day 3 Off we set to the fantastic historic City of York. Time to visit the awesome York Minster, walk The Shambles and follow this with a visit to the Jorvik Viking Museum, the National Railway Museum or York Dungeon.

Day 4 Departing after breakfast we make our way for a short comfort stop in Chesterfield the town is famous for its 800 year-old open air market and the unique and unusual 'Crooked Spire' Church.

Day 1 As we travel to our hotel in Warwick, we stop in the historic market town of Banbury for a visit. The town is a bustling retail centre. Make sure you seek out the “Fine Lady” from the famous rhyme “Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross”. Arriving at our hotel mid afternoon with time to relax, use the gym or prepare for the evening’s entertainment. After dinner there will be a full programme of live music to entertain you featuring, Barry Doyle Band, The Fantastic Irish Sound of Co. Corks, Peter Burke followed by Shaun Loughrey Band.

Day 2 After breakfast we make a visit to Royal Leamington Spa a beautiful town well known for its spa facilities which are said to have healing properties. Returning to Warwick early afternoon, where you can either be dropped off in Warwick town to explore or return to the hotel where there will be a programme of entertainment featuring Peter Burke. After dinner this evening there will again be another full evening of Irish music to enjoy.

Day 3 We begin our journey home, with a visit to Stratford–upon–Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. Quaint side streets with unique and individual shops are waiting for you to explore. We then complete our journey home, arriving back late afternoon.

Day 1 We set off with comfort stops on route for our holiday in Cornwall. Arriving in Newquay at our hotel late afternoon to check in and relax.

Day 2 Today we visit the world-famous Eden Project. Explore massive, covered Biomes to trek through the world’s largest indoor rainforest and immerse yourself in the calm fragrance of the Mediterranean Biome. Extensive outdoor Gardens, contemporary artworks, places to rest play and eat. Pick up great new ideas for your own Eden Project. We follow this with a short visit to the lovely St Austell.

Day 3 A wonderful free day in Newquay, the jewel in Cornwall’s crown. Frequently voted one of the nation’s favorite seaside resorts with something for everyone. Take the hop on hop off road train to explore the resort, visit the aquarium or take a sea safari to seal cove before travelling out further in search of dolphins and basking sharks.

Day 4 After breakfast a visit to The Lost Gardens of Heligan, 200 acres of garden history, mystery and romance. Thirty years ago, Heligan’s historic gardens were unknown and unseen; lost to the brambles of time since the outbreak of WW1. It was only the chance discovery of a door in the ruins that led to the restoration of this once great garden today, The Lost Gardens have been put back where they belong: in pride of place among the finest gardens in England. We follow this with a short visit to Mevagissy.

Day 5 Sadly it is time to bid a fond farewell to this outstandingly beautiful county as we make our way home with comfort stops en-route.

Day 1 We travel to Shanklin with comfort stops en -route, enjoying the short ferry to the Island.

Day 2 Today we have a scenic tour of the island taking in Yarmouth, The Needles, and a visit to Godshill a quintessential English Village which boasts some of the oldest architecture on the Isle of Wight. With its delightful medieval church, charming thatched-roofed cottages and a winding main-street lined with traditional tea rooms Godshill is as picturesque as it is popular.

Day 3 We visit the palatial holiday home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert Osborne House with stunning views over the Solent which reminded Prince Albert of the bay of Naples.

Day 4 This morning we spend time in the seaside town of Ryde. After lunch we step back to a bygone era with a journey on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Experience beautifully restored Victorian and Edwardian carriages as the train makes its way through the beautiful countryside. Whilst here we explore and discover the historic collection of locomotives, carriages and wagons through “Train Story.”

Day 5 Time to bid a fond farewell as we travel to take the ferry to the mainland and head home with comfort stops en route.

Day 1 Travelling to Norwich with comfort stops en-route.

Day 2 Today we travel to Wroxham where we board our boat for a relaxing cruise on the Norfolk Broads. Moving on to a trip on the narrow-gauge Bure Valley Railway.

Day 3 Off we set to explore the Sandringham Estate, much loved Norfolk retreat of the late Queen. This magnificent stately house is set in Stunning landscaped gardens and remains very much as it was in Edwardian times. Followed by a short visit to the seaside resort of Hunstanton.

After some free time, we take a trip on the West Somerset Railway a beautiful scenic journey taking in the rolling Quantock hills and unspoilt villages.

Day 3 A fabulous day out begins, enjoy the beautiful RHS Rosemoor Gardens. Nestled in a Devon valley, Rosemoor blends formal and informal plantings to magical effect.

Day 4. Another day of exploration, we head first for the attractive town of Bideford, on the banks of the River Torridge be sure to visit the historic covered Pannier Market. Take a wander around the narrow winding lanes of “the little white town”, some of which can be hilly, or a stroll along the quayside. Before we head off to bustling Barnstaple the premier town in North Devon full of pretty alleyways and courtyards, colourful it is a mixture of new and old, modern and traditional.

Day 1 We travel to Holyhead to catch our ferry to Dun Laoghaire. On our arrival we make our way to Belfast to check in at our hotel The Stormont.

Day 2 We begin with a guided tour through the city’s four “quarters” taking in the highlights. City Hall, Queens University, the Opera House and the Botanic Gardens. This afternoon we visit Titanic Belfast.

Day 3 Today we take one of the most remarkable ocean drives taking the Antrim Coast Road with its unspoilt views of the Irish Sea and Glens of Antrim. Arriving at the Giants Causeway a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its unique volcanic stone pillars and shrouded in folklore and fairy tales.

Day 4 A rare treat today as we visit Irelands Royal residence Hillsborough Castle. After a guided tour of this elegant mansion, morning tea will be served before time to enjoy the stunning gardens and grounds or explore Hillsborough town itself.

Day 2 We head off to the Severn Valley Railway for our journey on a full sized standard-gauge steam railway. The journey is full of interest, one highlight of the trip is the crossing of the River Severn by means of the Victorian Bridge 200 foot above the water, features in the film “The Thirty-nine Steps”. The scenery is varied and largely unspoilt, punctuated by the quaint ‘olde worlde’ charm of country stations. Day 3 We make a visit to Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire. The town centre is packed with timber framed black and white buildings, steep narrow streets and alleyways known as “shuts”. A most enjoyable time to be had, exploring this Medieval Maze. Whilst here we also take a leisurely cruise on the River Severn.

Day 4 After breakfast and check out, a short visit to the old riverside market town of Evesham, situated in the centre of the famous horticultural Vale of Evesham, (the fruit and vegetable basket of England). From the tranquil banks of the river Avon to the undulating hills and peaceful wooded slopes of the Cotswolds, the Vale offers some of the prettiest countryside in the United Kingdom. Day 1 We make our way to Suffolk a county of Stunning views and picturesque villages with thatched, colour washed timber framed cottages. We travel straight to Colchester having once been Britains first City and the former capital of Roman Britain the rich history dates back over 2000 years. We have plenty of time here to explore before checking into our hotel late afternoon.

Day 2 This morning we visit Christchurch Mansion in Ipswich, the home of the largest collection of paintings by Constable and Gainsborough outside London. Explore the period rooms from the Tudor kitchen to the sumptuous Georgian Saloon. We then travel to Framlingham where the 12th century castle dominates the market town. The rampart walk offers views over the town and the surrounding countryside.

Day 3 Constable Country today a real highlight as we visit Flatford, the location of Flatford Mill and the thatched Bridge Cottage. The cottage houses an exhibition on the life and work of John Constable including his Flatford paintings, The Hay Wain perhaps his best known. Departing from Inverness the line meanders by Mountains, Lakes and Lochs into the west coast of port of Kyle of Lochalsh. There’s time for lunch and to enjoy the views across to the Isle of Skye before meeting your coach for another scenic journey by road, back to your hotel.

Day 4 Today set off to spend some free time in the beautiful mountain town of Aviemore, with sights reminiscent of a Swiss ski village. Today’s highlight is a ride on the Strathspey Railway, a heritage steam railway that runs for 10 miles along heather covered moorland with the Cairngorm Mountains behind.

in the world. The 42-mile journey to the fishing port of Mallaig passes close by the deepest freshwater loch in Britain, Loch Morar, and the deepest seawater loch in Europe, Loch Nevis. We travel over the famous 21-arched Glenfinnan Viaduct (as featured in the Harry Potter films). The viaduct overlooks Loch Shiel and the Jacobite monument. The train may pause on the viaduct, time permitting, to allow you to take in the magnificent view. Once stopped in Glenfinnan station there will be time to stretch your legs and, if you wish, visit the West Highland Railway Museum located in the restored station building. Beyond Glenfinnan are the beautiful villages of Lochailort, Arisaig and Morar. Passing Morar you can see the silvery beaches used in the films Highlander and Local Hero. In Mallaig you will have time to explore and have lunch before joining the train for your return journey back to Fort William.

Day 1 Set off with comfort stops on the way, stopping for a visit at the Stoke on Trent Potteries Museum, WW2 Spitfire on site, or time for you to have a lunch in the café. Day 1 We set off to North Wales with a short stop in the medieval city of Chester before completing our journey to the idyllic lake side village of Llanberis.

Day 2 A wonderful day out, starting off with a single journey on the historic train from Porthmadog to the slate quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog which ascends over 700 feet, passing through tranquil meadows, past waterfalls and around horseshoe bends. On then to the delightful Italian village of Portmeirion before returning to Llanberis for free time. You may wish, time and cost permitting to see further spectacular views of the National Park aboard the narrow gauge Llanberis Lake Railway or the Snowdon Mountain Railway. Due to timetables variations there maybe days when it is necessary to reverse excursions.

Day 3 Today we head off to the traditional and popular seaside town of Llandudno, with its 2 sandy beaches and original Victorian features. Plus a ride on the Great Orme tramway is included. Excellent views of the Conwy Estuary, Anglesey and Snowdonia can be enjoyed from this Britain’s only cable hauled public road tramway.

Day 4 A leisurely morning before a short drive to Beddgelert Station for the scenic journey along the foothills of Snowdon to Caernarfon. Once here we have free time to explore the area.

Sunday 30th - Rochester Sweeps Festival

The festival is a celebration of the coming of Spring, Chimney sweeps typically only had one day off during the year and this was May Day, as you can imagine it was a day to have some fun. This international celebration of Folk music and dance has become one of the largest May Day celebrations of its kind in the world. Rochester is transformed into a riot of colour and sounds with the best musicians and bands on the folk circuit and hundreds of Morris dancers from across the country clattering their clogs and clashing their sticks up and down the high street.
