What a treat we have for you as our Reunion weekend this year! It’s so long since we have all been together and the time has come! We travel through the South Downs National Park to Chichester where we will stop for a visit prior to travelling to our hotel to check in. The next day after breakfast we are off to Arundel and Worthing for a visit. Followed by Portsmouth the next day a great town for shopping and history. Day 1 As we travel to Cromer, we visit Lavenham considered as one of Britain’s best preserved medieval villages. We follow this with a visit to the quintessential English village of Long Melford.

Day 2 Today we take you on a royal visit to Sandringham House the much-loved country retreat of Her Majesty the Queen.

Day 3 It’s the Poppy line for us today as we take a round trip on this beautiful steam train before returning to Sheringham on market day for free time.

Day 1 Make our way to Historic Rochester with its Norman Castle and the stunning Rochester Cathedral. It was also the inspiration for Charles Dickens. Day 2 We travel to Ypres, a city with a long and rich history. Visit the In Flanders Fields Museum telling the story of the First World War. The Menin Gate memorial to the Missing. It is through this point that thousands of soldiers set off to the Front many destined never to return. As well as boasting one of the most picturesque market squares in Belgium, a beautiful view of Ypres can be found by walking along the historic city ramparts. A stop at Pidou wine market on the way back

Day 1 After picking up locally, we set off on our journey.

Day 1 We make our way to Shrewsbury for a short visit to the county town of Shropshire. The town centre is packed with timber framed black and white buildings, steep narrow streets and alleyways known as “shuts”. A most enjoyable time to be had exploring this Medieval Maze.

We then travel the short distance to our hotel in Telford.

Day 2 After breakfast we make our way to Ironbridge once described as “the most extraordinary district in the world” Here we take the opportunity to visit Blists Hill Victorian Town, a fantastic day out!

Day 3 We head off for our trip on the Severn Valley Railway. Our trip will take us on a full-sized standardgauge steam railway journey, full of interest. One highlight of the trip is the crossing of the River Severn by means of the Victorian Bridge 200 – foot above the water and features in the film “The Thirty-nine Steps”. The scenery is varied and largely unspoilt, punctuated by the quaint ‘olde worlde’ charm of country stations.

Day 4 After breakfast a final farewell before we make our way to Ludlow, perched on a cliff above the river Teme.

Day 1 As we have a morning departure with comfort stops on route for our holiday in Poldark’s Cornwall (Be still my beating heart!) Arriving in Newquay at our hotel late afternoon.

Day 2 After breakfast we travel to Jamaica Inn high up on wild and beautiful Bodmin Moor. Made world-famous

Day 4 Today we venture to Charlestown. Due to its traditional appearance and collection of ships this town has featured as the principle town in Poldark. We then make our way to Cornwall’s only City and capital Truro.

While Corsham in Wiltshire doubled as Truro for filming the city itself was Graham’s true inspiration for the story and features throughout the books.

Day 1 We travel to Bournemouth, making a stop in Winchester en route.

Day 2 After Breakfast, a visit to the medieval town of Salisbury known as “the city in the countryside” famous for its Cathedral which has the tallest spire in England. On our return we take the scenic route through the New Forest stopping at one of the many beautiful villages with time for you to explore.

Day 3 Today you have a free day to explore all that Bournemouth has to offer. Take a relaxing day on the stunning sandy beach wander through the beautiful gardens, stroll along the flat seafront into Boscombe seafront or treat yourself to a shopping trip in the many shops in Bournemouth and a nice leisurely lunch.

Day 4 Today we visit the coastal town of Swanage, which is pure nostalgia. A seaside resort like the old days. Take a walk on the Victorian pier and look out at the bay. We then head for a short visit to Corfe where you can see the remains of Corfe Castle.

Day 5 Visiting Christchurch, a perfect combination of historic town and pretty harbour. This renowned Priory Church and Castle ruins by the river give an olde world charm to this attractive bustling town centre. Later, we travel to Highcliffe Castle. Take a woodland walk, visit the tea-room and take in the beautiful views.

Day 6 Time to say goodbye as we head home with a short visit to Windsor.

Day 1 Local collections and travel to Carmarthen and our hotel the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel Once a favoured retreat for Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, Day 2 Experience the sheer beauty of the Gower today with a visit to the Gower Heritage Centre which offers crafts, a watermill and museum but most of all enjoy a guided tour of the Gower Peninsula. We will also visit the picturesque Victorian seaside village of Mumbles with its boutiques, galleries, and potteries.

Day 3 Explore Carmarthen the oldest town in Wales with its popular Wednesday outdoor market medieval lanes and Georgian buildings. This afternoon we enjoy a nostalgic heritage train journey on the Gwili Steam train.

Day 4 Arrive at the historic seaside resort of Tenby, with its natural charm, harbour and beautiful beaches. A maze of narrow little streets. The roads are pedestrianised during the day in the Summer when the bars and restaurants set up al fresco. There are plenty of fascinating and quirky shops. You’ll also make a visit to Saundersfoot, a harbour village with charm and character all of its own.

Day 5 Time to depart this beautiful area as we commence our journey home. En route, we take a short break in the, Caerleon, a Roman fortress gem of a town with Roman baths and Amphitheatre.

Day 1 Local Pick ups before heading south to Newquay & the Barrowfield Hotel with regular comfort stops en route.

Day 2 A relaxing drive to the picturesque fishing village of Looe. Split into East and West Looe the harbour and main shopping centre found in the East. Day 1 Travel to our hotel in County Durham.

Day 2 This morning we travel to Shildon and visit the National Railway Museum. The museum exhibits the history of rail travel from the 19th century to the present day. We then return to Durham for free time, maybe explore the spectacular Cathedral.

Day 2 Today we travel to Crich Tramway Village is a visitor attraction and home to the National Tramway Museum. Take a trip back in time, ride vintage trams into the open countryside. From here you journey to Matlock Bath, which nestles at the bottom of the Derwent Valley.

Day 2 This morning you travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Saltaire. Opened in 1853, this industrial village and textile mill takes its name from its founder, Sir Titus Salt, and the River Aire, which runs through it. Today, Salts Mill and the village are home to many independent shops and galleries. Leaving Saltaire you take a steam train ride on the picturesque Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, the setting for the 1970 film ‘The Railway Children’. The hilltop village of Haworth is internationally famous for its connection with the Bronte sisters. You visit the Bronte Parsonage Museum where Emily, Charlotte and Anne wrote most of their novels. There’s time to explore the village’s many tearooms and bookshops.

Day 3 Today you head for Skipton, the ‘Gateway to the Dales’ for a relaxing cruise on the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Afterwards, there’s plenty of time to explore this charming market town with its famous 900 year-old castle and historic cobbled High Street. You continue to Bolton Abbey, best known for the famous Priory ruins, and a landscape full of history and legend. Walk along the riverside and woodland paths and enjoy local produce in the many tea rooms and cafes.

Day 4 On your way home we take a scenic drive through the peak district with comfort stops en-route.

Vibrant street entertainment brings life and excitement to this beautiful city. Bath is also a shopper’s haven, with a reputation for fashion that goes back to Georgian times. Make sure you see the stunning architecture such as the Royal Crescent, the Circus and Pulteney Bridge. You can now even bathe in Bath’s waters once again in the Thermae Bath Spa. Day 3 Set off to explore the vibrant buzzing city of Bristol and the Harbourside great shopping, Brunels SS Great Britain, Clifton Suspension Bridge and keep your eyes peeled for original Banksy art around the town.

Day 4 Today you head inland travelling over the Mendip Hills through the stunning Cheddar Gorge keep your eyes open for the mountain goats! You make your way to the Cathedral town of Wells with its historic centre, the magnificent cathedral, and the unique moated Bishop’s Palace. Then onto Glastonbury widely regarded as the cradle of Christianity. Day 1 Make our way to Historic Rochester with its Norman Castle and the stunning Rochester Cathedral. It was also the inspiration for Charles Dickens.
