SAFETY AND SECURITY

The physical and mental wellbeing of our students is always our top priority. Curraheen Point has a number of specific safety features to keep our residents safe including:

We are a gated community with access via a fob or mobile key, ensuring only residents and staff teams can enter the site without signing in.

24/7 CCTV cameras and security patrols during the night.

Mobile keys and physical keys issued to students to minimise the chances of being locked out.

Curraheen Point is in an area covered by both the community watch and Residents’ Association.

Our dedicated residence team are on-site each day between 9:00 and 5:30pm, plus we have resident assistants and security on call during the night in case of emergency.

Michelle O Connell

General Manager

Michelle holds a master’s degree from Dublin Technological University and a bachelor’s degree from University College Cork. She has years of experience having started her career in the sector as Assistant Manager for UCC Campus Accommodation back in 2018; having previously worked as the operations coordinator for a construction and maintenance firm. Michelle’s role as General Manager is to ensure the smooth running of the residence, with priority for the safety, security and wellbeing of all residents.

Róisín Phelan

Assistant Manager

Róisín Phelan is a graduate of the University of Limerick and as the Assistant Manager, acts as the first point of contact for all students. Here to help with anything from maintenance requests to booking the study room, to organising events for the Curraheen Point community. Róisín also helps get students who are new to the city settled with the best recommendations for coffee shops, restaurants or things to do in the local area.
