Freshman, Abbigale Steinert Snowflakes falling softly, all upon the grass lakes, shining look like solid glass trees are empty all leaves have fallen mounds of snow crystals begin to tallen children will play, adults will complain though soon enough it will thaw all precipitation will be rain

Junior, Kaitlynn Bieler Winter Morning The bleak oak floor felt good under my feet, The crackling fire admitted its warmth, Hot chocolate with marshmallows, soothed my taste buds, Outside my window, the snow was gliding like angels falling, The winter air, just under my nose, The clock ticking, synchronized with the creaks of the floor, Smoke of the fire, kept the chocolate warm, The feeling of snow, evaporated on my skin, The smell of the chocolate was too good to be true. This winter was delightful, better than last.

The angels watch from up above, they shine a brilliant light. As shepherds from a land nearby witness the calming sight.
O, my heart begins to weep, when I think of the holy time. The feel of calm, and heaven’s song, and of the Son sublime.
