Halloween in July at PLC
Rosanne Fortier News Correspondent
There were only treats and no tricks at Vegreville and Area Parent Link Centre Halloween Drop- In program on July 16.
For this program, PLC was decorated in a Halloween style.
At this drop-in, Children of the cutest kind were engaged in Halloween crafts or coloring sheets of paper with Halloween pictures on it. Other kids were getting their face painted, playing in the sensory bin which was full of
Halloween activities or playing at the playdoh center with Halloween cookie cutters. The snack had a Halloween theme to it too. At the end, the children were read a Halloween story.

Support Coordinator for PLC, Tasha Homeniuk said this is a drop-in program and they use these programs to cover their five pillars of service for PLC which include family supports, information referral, ASQ at an early age which is a screening tool for children, early childhood development programming, and parent education. “We do have early childhooddevelopment programming that happens in our drop-ins but also a big part of it is to support our families in the community so they can come in and have a place to play and interact with their children, and meet other parents to share those experiences; have a support group for the mothers and fathers, and it is even for the grandparents who come in to our dropins.”
