Students at A.L. Horton School transformed the gymnasium into a merry and bright atmosphere when they performed A Vegreville Christmas Concert on December 17.

Emcees narrated the script where they announced that the children were rushing home for the Christmas Light-up and they encounter the Big Guy in Red near the world’s largest Easter egg who took them on a magical tour through the wonders of the holidays.

This adventure include children dancing the Blitzen’s Boogie, Santa leading them to a group of children who look sad because they want to build a snowman but there isn’t any snow so, Frosty the Snowman eventually appears.

Cultural expression was included where young performers sang an Inuit song about courage and survival, a couple of Ukrainian carols, and a French song.

The LINKS Connection Class showed a video they made where students made crafts for the tree and were experiencing the wonder of the season.

Everyone sang We Wish You a Merry Christmas for the finale and the audience cheered and issued a rapturous applause!
