NARL: The Launch National Arena Rugby League Inc (“NARL”) is the result of years of extensive research and in-depth knowledge of the global Rugby League market. The executive board of NARL has combined its knowledge and experience, with its extensive network of Senior Sports Administrators to develop and launch a commercially viable 5-a-side Rugby League event, that will operate at an elite standard. The boards vision is to create a strong and sustainable platform from which Rugby League around the world can grow at all levels, from Junior to the national teams.

The time is right for rugby league to take center stage and create a shorter, indoor form of the sport, and we are offering you the chance to join us for a truly unique opportunity to build world class events from the ground up.

We are seeking investors who share our passion and that have the vision to invest directly into the National Arena Rugby League Inc. We are also developing a sophisticated sponsor and partnership portfolio for the League that will entice unique partners and sponsors.

Following the T20 (Cricket) and Sevens (Rugby Union) we are very proud to have the opportunity to launch a shorter format of the exciting Rugby League sport and build on the success of the NRL and Super League to take the sport to a new audience and a commercial platform.

Millennial’s now want to consume shorter formats of sport - T20 Cricket is the perfect example of how a shorter format has reinvented a sport that was struggling at one stage. Bitesize highlights packages on social platforms and streaming platforms are now the norm rather than the longer formats or full replays of the games being replayed. We believe that National Arena Rugby League is the perfect bitesize version of the sport that also engages with the in-attendance spectators.

NARL: The League 2027 will see the National Arena Rugby League launch in North America in select major cities, such as LA, NY, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Austin, Boston, Cleveland, Washington DC and Canada in Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver.

NARL, will see a 5-a-side indoor truncated version of rugby league event be played over the course of a weekend. Seeding games will take place on the Saturday before the knock-out games are played on the Sunday. Eight teams will play in two groups that are drawn by attending fans and on the Saturday.

Six games will be played in each group (twelve in total on the Saturday) before each team takes to the field in seeded Quarter-Finals on the Sunday in a straight knock-out to find the winner of the weekend. The second day will also see four female teams play a straight knock-out semi-finals and final ahead of the male final.

The unique nature of NARL will allow teams from the local area to compete alongside teams throughout North America and potential NRL and Super League teams in special invited global tournaments..

Played on similar dimensions to Ice Hockey, the field of play will be 50 meters long with 5-meter scoring or end zones and 30 meters wide to allow freeflowing rugby to be played and plenty of scoring opportunities. Protective padding advertising boards will surround the playing area to offer players full protection. Similar to Ice Hockey teams and will be afforded interchange slots where all five players can be interchanged with the 5 named interchanges.

In a unique twist and a play on the number five, possession will only last for five tackles rather than the traditional six, should the one marker effect a successful tackle, that will result in possession being surrendered and the ball handed over. Games will last for two halves of ten minutes.

Further twists and to see fan engagement will see fans vote via the NARL App one player per team to leave the field (which will see the teams play 4 V 4) for the final two minutes of the game.

With safety in mind, any contact above the shoulders will result in players being removed from the field for the remainder of the game.

Tries scored will be 4 points unless touched down in a bonus zone for an extra point. Conversions to be taken in line with where the ball was touched down and from the halfway line and will be two points.

NARL: The Fans The National Arena Rugby League Inc, will launch its very own streaming platform via a bespoke app - that will see money come directly into Arena Rugby to fund operations and generate revenue for NARL. Further highlight packages will be shown across select platforms, such as Barstool Sports, cable networks and many others. In, addition the use of social media will allow NARL to show immediate highlights, big hits and spectacular tries.

A 360-degree fan centric application that enhances the fan experience and supports each customer touch point for the best possible experience. Bringing together a data collection point for Arena Rugby and crossed with a fan engagement tool, RugbyFan HQ will allow for targeted push notifications from Arena Rugby and crucially sponsors will be able to target fans which adds to the value sponsors receive when supporting Arena Rugby.

NARL: The Streaming When the action starts, the RugbyFan HQ will take fan engagement to a new level. Mini games will see fans in the arena compete against other fans without leaving their seats while fan votes for the Game MVP, Big Hit of the Game and players to sit down for the last two minutes of the game will revolutionise the way sports fans interact with players and teams. Guess the score competitions will take place prior to games and winners will be drawn to win a prize at full time.

Arena Rugby has never been played in either code. This is a huge opportunity to corner the market and be involved in a new sport from the ground up that will see investors and investment teams reap the rewards from a new fan and casual viewer friendly sport. Already in recent months, Gerard Pique’s new soccer tournament has seen millions of viewers across streaming and social media platforms, the rugby equivalent has the potential to rival those numbers along with becoming a global sport that can challenge the likes of 7’s and 9’s rugby.

NARL: The Team Stephen Brown the League Chairman/CEO of National Arena Rugby League has assembled a group of rugby loving professionals who want to share the love and passion that fuels the greatest contact sport in the world. With over 50 years of experience building networks and working at the very highest and international levels of rugby league and North American sports, we understand and are prepared for the challenges that lie ahead as we launch this amazing venture.

Ricky Wilby Ricky Wilby has over 2 decades experience working in professional rugby league, from signing and playing at a semi-professional level in the UK, he has worked at the highest level; working with the Catalans Dragons for over 12 years. During his time with the Dragons, Ricky experienced working across all aspects of the business from coaching, logistics, media, marketing, commercial and board activities. This culminated in a Challenge Cup win at Wembley Stadium and numerous ‘on the road’ games that took in the world famous Nou Camp, home of Barcelona FC, the Montjuïc Stadium, site of the 1992 Olympic Games and two games in Montpellier. Ricky has also worked for the French national team as they qualified and played in the 2013 and 2017 World Cups while he worked as the French team manager in the most recent 2021 Rugby League World Cup. His place on the team will see him utilize all the experience gained during his time at the Dragons and the French national team ensuring an ethical and level playing field and bringing together all aspects of the business that enables the growth of rugby league around the world both on and off the field.

Robert Curtis Robert Curtis will perform operationaly responsibilities for Arena Rugby. Robert is a retired New Jersey Police Sergeant and former Accreditation Manager specializing in SOP development and authoring/executing command strategy. Furthermore, Robert brings 15 years of experience having worked as an Executive Producer of events for NFL, MLS and NBA franchises in the New York and NJ markets. Over the last decade Robert has worked with global companies including MetLife, Toyota, Dunkin Donuts and Hertz building brand recognition and brand development.

Robert is an exceptional leader, motivator, executive and has an extensive background in personnel and asset management practices. He is second to none when it comes to communicating his ideas and executing plans with his teams.

Justin Tucker For over a decade, Justin has worked in every aspect of Arena and Indoor Football. From event management and marketing with the Jacksonville Sharks to operations and executive level oversight with the Vermont Bucks, Justin has improved processes for maximized efficiency and revenue verticals. As the current CEO of the New York Rugby League, Justin has used his expertise to build a semiprofessional team from scratch to join the North American Rugby League.

Additionally, Justin is currently the Northeast Regional General Manager for the largest National retail propane supplier in North America where he manages a budget of $11 million gross revenue and $3.5 million in EBITDA
