Emvula also co-stars with Chops Tshoopara, Odile Gertze, and Gift Uzera The movie follows various characters as they try to live day-to-day in the township of Katutura It has been screened at various festivals and raked in a bunch of awards and is critically acclaimed.

The White Line

This movie is about a forbidden romance during the Apartheid era It was written and directed by Desiree Kahikopo-Meiffret And stars Girley Jazama, Jan-Baren Scheepers, Sunet van Wyk and Hazel Hinda. It is a beautiful story set during one of the hardest times in Namibian history The film received critical acclaim and won the Kilimandjaro Award for Best Film at the Festival Africlap.

Starring our featured star of the month, Claudine de Groot This drama has had a huge impact on Namibian films It is loosely based on a book with the same name by August C. Bikeur. It is about a relationship falling apart and is seen through the eyes of a boy who found his father’s diary It was directed by Oshoveli Shipoh and stars well-known Namibian actors, David Ndjavera and Hazel Hinda. It is critically acclaimed and has received several award nominations.
Baxu and the Giants
This is one of my favourite short films ever The story is something so beautiful and it sends an important message not just to Namibians but also the rest of the world We should keep trying to save the rhino The film was directed by Florian Schott and co-written by Schott and Girley Jazama. It stars Camilla Jo-Ann Daries in a breakout performance
