MOT Charter High School Our rigorous Academy of the Arts and Academy of Science & Technology programs encourage students to question, debate, challenge and learn from the world around them. DANCE Our co-ed dance program is focused on building artistic athletes who can incorporate rhythm, movement and expression seamlessly. Studies are ballet based, but include lyrical, contemporary, jazz and tap dancing.
DIGITAL ARTS Utilizing software programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere, students create original artwork targeted for the online digital audience. This pathway allows students to be on the front lines of digital media in society.
Academy of the Arts INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC Instrumental performing groups include orchestra, band and drumline. Students learn music theory and composition, arranging and have opportunities to perform as soloists and combined ensembles.
ENGINEERING Using a mechanical engineering base, students explore the variety of engineering fields while learning to collaborate in teams to communicate ideas, create solutions and solicit feedback to evaluate work. Project management and design thinking are major outcomes for the pathway.
Students grow their design skills through drawing, painting and sculpture Coursework is designed to advance their abilities to express themselves and leave with a well rounded college art portfolio.

THEATER With a focus on acting, students engage in a wide variety of theater experiences including playwriting, creating and producing live performances and critically reviewing theatrical productions.
VOCAL MUSIC Students in performance choirs grow their ability to read music, both melodic and rhythmic, perform four part harmonies, and vocalize in an array of styles from classical to jazz to modern. Groups perform with accompaniment and a capella.

BIOTECH
Coding in various languages, such as Scratch, CSS, HTML, Python, and Java, is the foundation of this major. Additional topics explored include graphics, applications, security, data management, and hardware.
This pathway examines the science and impact of current biotechnological issues. Students explore major areas within biotechnology including agricultural, environmental, and medical applications.

In our first two years, every graduate received acceptance to a college or university of their choice.
Student-athletes play Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Cross Country, Swimming, Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Golf, Basketball & Cheerleading In addition to honors and AP level classes, student may elect to take dual enrollment courses for college credit. Integrated into select on-campus class offerings, dual enrollment is available through partnerships with several area colleges and universities, including Wilmington University, Wesley College, and West Virginia University.
