The pandemic has seen a state-wide baby boom, with Moorabool Shire seeing an even bigger surge in births than most of Victoria. While Victoria has seen a 5.7 per cent increase in the number of babies born over the past 12 months, Moorabool has seen a whopping 18 per cent increase during the same period of time. The majority of those were born between March to June 2021, with a record total of 462 babies born in Moorabool over the last year compared to the previous record of 404,
recorded in 2019/20. The Maternal Child and Health team have been hard at work supporting families continuously and tirelessly throughout the pandemic, and there will be more work to come in the years ahead. “Our Maternal and Child Health team are going to be extra busy in the years ahead due to the boom, especially if upward trends like this continue,” Manager of Child, Youth and Family Services, Sharon McArthur, told the Moorabool News. “Even through lockdowns caused by the

Connecting towns with tracks and trails
A partnership with Moorabool Shire Council and Southern Rural Water (SRW) was announced last Thursday (26 August), to deliver a new walking and cycling path, connecting Darley and Maddingley. The ‘Aqualink Cycling and Walking Corridor’ will connect residents and visitors to the Bacchus Marsh township’s attractions and services, as part of Council’s long-term vision to connect the rapidly growing community. Already, 4.5 kilometres of channel network has been replaced under SRW’s modernisation project, allowing the Aqualink walking and cycling path to be built above, providing an off-road track between Darley and Maddingley. Connection to an upgraded shared path from Bacchus Marsh Train Station to Main Street is also planned. Moorabool Shire Mayor Cr Tom Sullivan said Aqualink would not only improve connections between the Bacchus Marsh township’s suburbs, but also encourage a healthier way of traversing the town. “This is a fantastic project that will promote healthy lifestyles and wellbeing. It will also create a community link and improve connections between our open spaces and our community and educational facilities,” Cr Sullivan said. “We thank both the Federal and State Governments for their contributions to date and, hope to attract more funding in the future to complete this amazing project.” SRW Managing Director Cameron FitzGerald said the company was “pleased to partner with Moorabool Shire Council to deliver this terrific project, which enables our old channel reserve to serve the local community in an exciting new way.” The proposed 4.5-kilometre path network will be constructed in five sections: Aqualink North (a), Aqualink North (b), and Aqualink Central, East and West. When completed, the network will effectively connect the township from the Lerderderg River in the north, to the Werribee River in the south. Construction of the path for Aqualink East begun in May, with Aqualink North due to begin construction in September this year. Council will deliver the Aqualink project with funding from the Federal Government, the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), and the State Government.

Is green power really green? Environmental groups have expressed their concerns that the corridor proposed for the Western Victoria Transmission Network Project (WVTNP) will have a permanent impact on plants and animals in the area. A report from the Energy Grid Alliance, a group focused on planning renewable energy transmission with minimal environmental impact, argues that if the WVTNP goes ahead according to current plans, it will have a “disturbing and irreversible impact on the important work of government-funded conservation groups”. The report, titled ‘Protection and Restoration of Important Habitat and Native Vegetation Fragments’, states that the proposed corridor for overhead power lines “severely fragments several important nave bio links that connect smaller blocks of native habitat to the larger Wombat-Lerderderg National Park.” “This proposed corridor reverses the important work of the Moorabool Landcare Network and directly contravenes the Victorian Government Biodiversity 2037 plan, the purpose of which is to preserve and enhance biodiversity and avoid further habitat fragmentation,” the report adds. Moorabool Environment (MEG) has backed the Energy Grid Alliance’s report, stating that while MEG supported the “urgent need to transition to renewable energy”, this needed to be done carefully, “to ensure network upgrades do not destroy the very things renewable energy aims to protect”.

“Governments should not be giving to the environment with one hand, while taking away with the other,” a MEG spokesperson said. “As an example, the corridor chosen for the transmission towers provides important habitat for critically endangered swift parrots. Swift parrots are impacted by climate change, and a properly planned transition to renewable energy will help their survival. “However, putting transmission towers across Moorabool Shire’s bio links will instead impede swift parrot survival, removing essential flyways and trees this critically endangered species uses to access food during autumn and winter.” Darren Edwards from the Energy Grid Alliance said the community “do not have faith in the EES [Environment Effects Statement] process” conducted by AusNet. “When the impacts on biodiversity are so obvious and so irreversibly damaging, it’s time to go back to the drawing board and develop a more environmentally sensitive solution,” Mr Edwards said. “If the Victorian Government said in 2017 that habitat fragmentation is no longer acceptable, then why is this still occurring in 2021? This clearly will not work and the WVTNP should not be allowed to proceed further through the EES process. There must be a better way.”

Alternate power route proposal By Lachlan Ellis The State Opposition have proposed an alternate route for the Western Victoria Transmission Network Project (WVTNP), with local communities praising the plan. Shadow Treasurer Louise Staley represents the District of Ripon in the Victorian Legislative Assembly, northeast of the District of Buninyong, and announced on 23 August, if the Coalition was elected at the next state election in November 2022, it would pursue an alternate route for the overhead power lines, along an existing easement. “Unlike Labor who is persisting with power lines through precious potato-growing farmland and within range of thousands of people's homes, we will use the existing transmission line easement from Mortlake to Lara to achieve the necessary 500 KV upgrade to transmission in Western Victoria,” Ms Staley said. “A new line from Bulgana to Mortlake will be constructed along with terminal station upgrades as necessary at Bulgana and Mortlake. Our solution to transmission capacity upgrades for Western Victoria not only offers a better route - largely along existing easements and across open fields not impacted by power lines, it also creates the infrastructure to unlock additional renewable energy north of Horsham.” Chair of the Moorabool and Central Highlands Power Alliance (MCHPA), Emma Muir, said the affected communities were pleased by the alternate plan. “Communities from Bulgana to Sydenham welcome the Opposition's promise to send AusNet's dud project back to the drawing board. We are supportive of the proposed

project being sent back to the drawing board as its current form is unworkable,” Ms Muir told the Moorabool News. “The State Government needs to follow the Opposition's lead, listen to our communities and tell AusNet to scrap their cheap and nasty project and start over.” According to Victorian Opposition Leader Michael O’Brien, the plan would enable an emissions reduction in Victoria “by a minimum of 13 per cent”, helping the state to “meet legislated emissions reduction targets”. The Moorabool News asked the Member for Buninyong Michaela Settle MP if she supported the opposition’s proposal, replying that she hoped AusNet would investigate all possible routes for the WVTNP, not just the Bulgana to Sydenham route currently on the table. “AusNet need to thoroughly investigate all the alternatives including the Western Highway, the South Moorabool and Mortlake routes, to make sure that this project respects our prime agricultural land and areas of natural beauty,” Ms Settle said.
Senator for Victoria, Sarah Henderson, said she has visited communities along the current corridor, and the corridor must be changed. "I have met with local residents including farmers and landowners in Myrniong and Mt Prospect, and last month attended the Stop AusNet Rally in Waubra. As part of the project, AusNet is proposing to build a massive transfer station at Mt Prospect which will severely impact this pristine farming area including the operations of fifth generation potato farmers Frank and Colleen Stephens and their son Peter," Ms Henderson said. "The Western Victorian Transmission Line Project, which is being planned by the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) and built by AusNet at the behest of the Victorian Government, must be re-routed and re-designed. The current proposed route and design, which must be signed off by Victorian Energy Minister, Lily D’Ambrosio, will put at risk a region which produces some 15 per cent of Australia’s potatoes as well as thousands of jobs." Ms Henderson also denounced the suggestion that the project was "private" and out of the State Government's hands. "I also condemn Minister D’Ambrosio who continues to mislead Victorians by claiming, in letters to local landowners, that this is “private project”. This is false. Not only is the transmission line required as a direct result of Labor’s disastrous planning of renewable projects in western Victoria, under the law the buck stops with the Victorian Energy Minister. It is a Victorian Government responsibility to contract the planning and construction of the power line, including to determine its environmental impact and sign off on its design and route." she said.

Little badge, big impact By Lachlan Ellis For almost a century, Legacy Australia has supported veterans and their families across the country, and the charity is asking Australians to give generously again during Legacy Week 2021. The theme this year is ‘Little Badge: Big Impact’ – meaning that while the badges Legacy sells are small in size, the funds they generate for Legacy improve life for veterans’ families in a big way. Last year’s Legacy events were severely impacted due to COVID-19, and may be affected once again in Victoria – but donations are still needed to help some of the most vulnerable in our community. The local Legacy Club for Moorabool is the Ballarat Legacy Club, which has Sub-Groups in Bacchus Marsh and Ballan. “The needs of our families don’t stop, so any donation received will be gratefully received and used to provide desperately needed welfare to our children and families," Ballarat Legacy Club President, Legatee Jeremy Bannister, said. Legatee Rodney Edwards is the Coordinator of the Ballan Sub-Group, and said Legacy Week, which will run from Sunday 29 August to Saturday 4 September, was crucial for supporting Moorabool’s veterans. “Legacy Week is our only formal fundraising operation. Last year we could not do anything because of COVID, this year it’s starting to look the same way,” Mr Edwards told the Moorabool News. “Our primary objective is to support widows of veterans, and veterans’ families. The RSL has the primary role of looking after veterans, we look after veterans’ families. We work hand-in-hand with the RSL. “Ballarat is the third-oldest Legacy Club in

A Bacchus Marsh complex is set to slash thousands off its power bill, with over $1 million worth of solar panels being switched on for the first time. More than 1,700 solar panels at the Village Shopping Centre, capable of producing 1,027 MWh per year, have been switched on, with the project costing $1.3 million. DeGroup owns the Village Shopping Centre, and Director and Chief Operations Officer at DeGroup, Ben Delutis, said the project was one part of DeGroup’s wider focus on renewable energy. “This is an exciting time for DeGroup as we are currently in the process of rolling out a $4.5 million renewable energy project across our shopping centres in Melbourne. This investment in solar is part of our ongoing
commitment to reduce our carbon footprint. When complete, it will consist of more than 6,100 panels generating almost 3,600 MWh per year,” Mr Delutis said. “We recognise the role we need to play in reducing our long-term carbon footprint, and this solar installation will not only help make a positive impact on the environment by generating enough power to offset 157 passenger cars driven in one year, but it will also improve power reliability for the area by minimising our reliance on the local power grid.” The savings will be passed on to retailers at the Village Shopping Centre too, providing an additional form of support in a time where revenue is limited.

A car flipped onto its roof following reports of erratic driving prior to the accident in Darley, with the young driver now facing several charges. The ArtsACTION program is free, and offers a six-part email resource pack, a series of Zoom workshops, and access to a growing network. The program will be delivered exclusively online, running from August 2021 until April 2022. The email resource package will get you thinking about how to develop your creative career, including clarifying career goals, working collaboratively, and building a public profile. The Zoom workshops, which begin in October and will run once a week for six weeks, include topics such as ‘Being Market Ready’, ‘Working Together Effectively’, and ‘Digital Communities’. ArtsACTION also has a Facebook group, which provides a place for artists and creatives to share ideas, ask questions, and support one another in their creative endeavours. This agreement resolves years of financial uncertainty for the organisation.
It’s been community owned for 55-years and now, the health facility in Ballan will close its hospital, after the sale was announced last week. The idea for a local hospital began in 1944 with the community raising funds for 22-years, finally opening the doors in 1966. However, last Friday Ballan District Health & Care Board Chair Lyn Gunnell, confirmed the decision to close the organisation’s 10bed hospital and announced the future of BDHC services is assured, with assets and operations of BDHC to transfer to a new owner, mecwacare from 1 November 2021.

The sale, after years of financial strain, of the entire facility to mecwacare includes the Aged Care, GP clinic and services, and the hospital/palliative care buildings.
Mr McComb said the BDHC Board had explored a range of options over the past couple of years to make the organisation more viable.
Ms Gunnell said from a Board perspective, residents should notice little or no change, and all residents are guaranteed continued care in line with their current arrangements.
“We sought expressions of interest to find another operator with the scale, experience and capital to give our services a long-term future,” he said.
“We want our residents to be cared for by the same dedicated staff members they know so well, so all but a few of our 130 individual employees will be offered roles with mecwacare,” she said. The Ballan Hospital commenced operations in 1966 as a six-bed Soldiers’ Memorial Bush Nursing Hospital, owned by the community through the Ballan Hospital Association. The hospital grew to acquire 51 Aged Care Bed Licences having an estimated value of between $20,000 to $45,000 per Bed Licence (2020) and, the organization became the first GP Super Clinic to be opened in Australia on 14 September 2009.
Those services, including aged care, a retirement village, a GP Clinic, allied health services, home care packages, district nursing, a gym and hydrotherapy pool, and an opportunity shop, will continue to be delivered by mecwacare.

Bobby calves that are being transported for sale or slaughter must be at least five days old, have been adequately fed milk or milk replacer within six hours of transport and must be in a fit and healthy condition. The calves must also be adequately protected from the cold during transport. They should be transported in a trailer or crate that has at least an enclosed front for protection and ideally have appropriate bedding or material on the floor of the trailer to reduce the risks of slipping. All calves must be able to lie down on their chest during transportation. Everyone along the supply chain including producers, transporters, scale operators, livestock agents and saleyard and abattoir staff are responsible for the welfare of bobby calves. Agriculture Victoria’s Program Manager for Livestock Welfare Compliance Dr Rachael Holmes said it’s important that everyone responsible for bobby calves ensures that calves under their care are adequately supervised and that prompt action is taken to address any animal welfare issues that arise.
“During cold weather, extra measures should be taken to ensure that calves are protected from rain, wind and temperature extremes both on-farm and during transportation. “It is also essential that calves are handled with care, they must not be lifted by their head, ears, tail, hair or by a single leg. “Calves may also become easily fatigued, so it is important that anyone handling calves is patient. “Anyone handling calves should also note that it is prohibited in Victoria to use an electric prodder on calves, regardless of whether or not the electric prodder is active. “Anyone who uses or places an electric prodder on a bobby calf can face an infringement penalty of $545 or prosecution. Last chance to contribute on natures strips Council has put out a ‘Draft Nature Strip Guideline’ and ‘Draft Nature Strip Policy’ and wants to hear from the community before finalising the details. The Policy comes after an online survey was conducted late in 2020, asking questions relating to the beautification of nature strips. A Council spokesperson said the 2020 survey, that has now turned into a Draft Guideline and Policy, “is to gauge the level of support from the community for alterations to nature strips and the types of modifications residents would like to see permitted”. The Nature Strip Policy and Guideline will outline Council’s practices surrounding nature strips, including the responsibility for managing nature strips, procedures prior to commencing nature strip works, and Council’s responsibilities regarding managing street trees. Until close of business on Thursday 9 September 2021, Council will be accepting submissions online or in writing. Under the Draft Nature Strip Guideline, compacted gravel, mulch, and wood chips are not allowed, but plants and shrubs up to 500mm tall are. A copy of the Nature Strip Policy and Guideline can be viewed on Council’s Have Your Say site, or at Council’s Customer Service centres between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm. Dear Minister, On behalf of the people of Victoria, we urge you to send the Western Victoria Transmission Network Project (WVTNP) back to the drawing board. We call on you to envision a renewable energy future that is founded on innovative, reliable and scalable technology, because we do not want to see our energy future disabled with outdated and dangerous technology like the WVTNP. The proposed WVTNP WVTN will desecrate local tourism, wildlife habitats, our world class food bowl, local agriculture, culture and heritage and our regional businesses and communities. This is a grossly inadequate project, lacking any social licence. It was given the green light despite a biased cost benefit analysis that favoured quick political wins and corporate profit over an extraordinarily high environmental and economic cost. Underground energy transmission is best practice around the world and Australian scientific studies support this. Underground energy transmission is more reliable, safe and efficient and will not be impacted by extreme e weather, or increase the risk of catastrophic bushfire. In the end, taxpayers always foot the bill for failed Government projects that favour politics over people, and this project is inevitably going to cost us more than it is worth. Just last year, AusNet passed on a $24 million dollar repair bill to Victorian energy consumers, to repair a transmission line in Cressy that crashed to the ground as a result of extreme weather conditions. We want renewable energy solutions that benefit all Victorians, not foreign owned corporations like AusNet, who were responsible for the Black Saturday bushfires and continue to mismanage projects like the WVTNP. We are extremely proud to live in a region that is supplying the renewable energy to power Victoria, but will not support a project that claims to “deliver on unlocking renewable energy across Victoria”, when it clearly cancels out any environmental, economic, or renewable energy benefit. The National Electricity (Victoria) Act, gives you the power to override the project contract and send it back ( to the drawing board. As Energy Minister, we urge you to ensure our renewable energy future is safe, reliable and sustainable, because all Victorians for generations to come, will be relying on the renewable energy systems you build today. Dear Editor, Labor’s Member for Buninyong has single-handedly shown up the Victorian Government’s arrogance and blindness to the devastation it is causing through its COVID-19 mismanagement. On her Facebook page on Saturday 21 August, Michaela Settle joined the Government’s advertising blitz called, ‘There’s one million reasons to get vaccinated’. Ms Settle’s reason was “To get back to big footy crowds at Mars Stadium (Ballarat).” The comment is breathtaking and insulting. Here is a regional MP, based in Ballarat where there is currently no virus and very few cases across the duration of the COVID ‘crisis’, but is in total lockdown. Ms Settle has voted in support of her dictatorial leader for the State of Disaster powers and the extension of the State of Emergency powers. With these votes, Ms Settle has kept children out of school, parents unable to work, aged family members alone and playgrounds boarded up to look like military compounds. She has supported the closure of businesses. She has stopped children playing sport – anyone playing sport – or learning music, or going to dance schools, gymnastics, or singing lessons. She has stopped people going to church at a time when prayer is the only thing providing hope to many. She has caused people living alone and isolated to be fearful and despairing. She has supported the cancellation of medical appointments, breast screening services, vital and long-awaited surgeries. She has caused the ongoing cancellation of weddings and the inability of people to attend the funerals of loved ones. Her vote has encouraged a climate of fear and finger pointing, whether at other states, city vs country, and even other countries Her government has stopped the live streaming of music events – so even virtual businesses providing much needed joy can’t operate. And despite all this – her big reason for getting people vaccinated – is so she can go to the football in Ballarat. If you weren’t sure before – then be sure of it now – we are not all in this together.
Ms Settle and her Government – clearly, clearly – have no idea of the harm they have caused, and the damage still being done. Ms Settle still thinks that going to the football is the big reason to get vaccinated. There are a million reasons to get vaccinated, if you choose to. And I might just name a few for Ms Settle to consider: • To get children back to school • To get children back to sport • To get hospitals, surgeries and medical appointments fully enabled • To get people back in work • To get businesses operating • To get borders open and never again closed • To get tourism and events happening • To get the aged visited in the aged care facilities • To get masks off our faces • To get people moving more than 5kms from their homes • To travel freely • To enjoy time with our family and friends • To live life as we once did Unsurprisingly, Ms Settle has taken her Facebook post down. Dear Editor. In response to Donald Betrams letter on 24 August 2021. Totally agree with this letter that Donald wrote. I worked as a nurse at this hospital for 30+ years, and Dr Parhar was the only obstetrician/gynaecologist for the majority of that time. He worked tirelessly, as did the Unit Manager, midwifes and nurses. All hospitals everywhere have their risks and deaths. DjHS was no different to any other hospital. Yet they crucified this Doctor and some of the nurses and wrecked their careers forever. People worked so tirelessly for their local hospital and their community. The hospital is no longer the country little hospital that it once was. I understand that nothing can remain the same, but it is so sad to see the people who did so much for this town get treated this way and, their careers and livelihood gone forever. Dear Editor, A good news story, in this current negative environment. One needs to appreciate that provided we all do what we are told to do eventually things will get back to normal, (whatever normal is). Nobody likes to be told they cannot do what they want. My wife and I have just returned from a very relaxing 6 weeks on the Gold Coast all arranged by Cartier World Travel Agents of Ballan. We arrived home safely last Saturday after having driven for 13 hours across NSW only stopping for fuel and roadside toilet breaks. After getting checked out in Ballarat in the afternoon, which proved to be negative, we prepared to go into isolation for the next fortnight, only to be advised the next day Qld had been downgraded from red to orange and isolation was no longer necessary. Words cannot describe how grateful we are to David and his magnificent team at Cartier for not just booking our great holiday but for the way they guided us home safely during this testing time and, arranging our Motels on the Qld and Victorian borders. The Ballan Community are extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful Travel Agency and, when this dark cloud passes over, any future local traveller would be wise to book it through Cartier's, in our opinion. Million dollar injection for businesses By Lachlan Ellis As Victoria’s sixth lockdown hits Moorabool’s businesses hard once again, a further $367 million has been invested by the State and Federal Government to help them stay afloat. The Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the support package announcement on 12 August). Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chief Executive, Paul Guerra, said the funds were welcome, but were only a temporary fix. “Some businesses have endured almost 200 days of not being able to trade and generate revenue. While this support is appreciated and crucial, these packages serve as a bandaid to keep business afloat - but the longer a lockdown goes on more debt is accrued and fewer businesses remain with the reserves to try to open again,” Mr Guerra said. “Financial support is vital – but we can’t keep shutting down businesses and we can’t continue to stop-start our lives. Our greatest chance of victory in the fight against COVID-19, and the lockdowns and hardships that come with it, is the vaccine.” This is the fifth business support package provided for Victorian businesses and contains three main elements. The Small Business COVID Hardship Fund will receive a further $41 million, with grants of up to $10,000 on offer to small and medium businesses across the state. Under the Licensed Hospitality Venue Fund, more than 7,000 previously approved hospitality venues across metropolitan areas will receive automatic payments of $5,000, $10,000 or $20,000, depending on premises capacity. Finally, $271 million will go to the Business Costs Assistance Program, which will see more than 95,000 businesses in metropolitan Victoria automatically receive payments of $2,800 within seven business days. I guess it’s a matter of the rigour around applying for these grants…is it going to be very arduous for them, we need to know that,” Cr Sullivan told the Moorabool News. “If it’s too hard to access, well, a lot of people may just give up, which I hope they don’t. But there’s a sense of exhaustion creeping into the community. Some businesses have been affected more than others…particularly the hospitality industry. “They’ve been hit particularly hard…every lockdown, they’ve probably been the hardest hit. Their capacity has been limited; they’ve really struggled. I hope we can go back to some normality in the future and support those businesses.”
The RSL Active program plans to return to in-person activities this year and will be offered to Moorabool locals for the first time. This year, the RSL Sub-Branches of Ballan, Bacchus Marsh, Caroline Springs, and Melton have joined together to form the RSL Active Western Region, with a launch event planned for Saturday 18 September. RSL Active is an initiative from RSL Victoria, which provides the veteran community with a range of events and activities to improve mental and physical health. From yoga and fishing to art and cooking classes, a wide range of activities are offered through the program to not only help veterans keep fit, but also connect with their peers and share their stories. The launch will be held at Camp Dewar YMCA in Myrniong, from 1 pm to 4 pm. Archery and a barbeque will be held for veterans and their spouses only, while future events will be developed for veterans and their wider families. Dunn it with lockdown By Tim O’Connor (HRV) "Freaky" was the operative word in Aaron Dunn's postrace interview after Bondi Lockdown won a classic VHRC Caduceus Victoria Sires Classic on Saturday night. Despite enduring a tough run after a failed attempt for the lead, Dunn's charge prevailed in an epic battle between three-year-olds at Bendigo’s Lord’s Raceway. The Somebeachsomewhere colt, who drew wide on the back row, just held out a fast-finishing Better Eclipse, with Tuppence running third from a wall of rivals. So competitive was the race, just five-and-a-half metres covered the first six horses across the line. “His trackwork since his last win at Ballarat was really freaky, so that sort of gave me the confidence to have a crack for the front,” Dunn said. Dunn, who owns, drives and trains the horse, is full steam ahead to key races such as the Downbytheseaside Victoria Derby during October and Alabar Vicbred Super Series later in the year. "I'll probably just not race him as much from now until the Derby, but maybe keep him in. I'll just have to have a think about it,” the Horsham-based horseman, who took Bondi Lockdown to Queensland during July, said. "I think those few runs, it gets him at his best, so that's where it might be better to keep him rolling without taxing him too much. "But like I said, he does freaky things... He just runs freaky times then pulls up good." Bondi Lockdown is already a Group 1 winner, having taken out the VHRC Caduceus 3YO Classic in January, and builds

The Centre Cross Country season came to an abrupt end due to the current State lockdown however, this did not deter athletes from getting out last week and running to record virtual times which were then submitted online. Athletes either ran around local streets or park grounds while some took the opportunity to run out on their family farms. Many parents participated too, rabbiting for their children, marking out courses or officiating as timekeepers. This was the first virtual run for the Centre and it was great to have 40 athletes participate. While the end of season award presentations have been put on hold, the club anticipate that as soon as restrictions permit they will be presenting trophies to all athletes. Meanwhile, the Committee is working hard in preparation for the upcoming 2021/22 Track & Field season which is due to commence early October (restrictions permitting). Weekly meets are conducted at Masons Lane Reserve on Saturday mornings from 8.30am for athletes aged 5-15.
