The Bacchus Marsh Lions Club will be back accepting donations for the Good Friday Appeal – and they need your help.

“On Good Friday itself, donations can be made at the Bacchus Marsh Fire Station, with receipts issued for tax purposes for all donations of $2 or greater.”

The Lions Club have issued a call for volunteers to lend a hand, as they try to set a new donation record.

If you can donate some spare time to help, the Lions Club is eager to hear from you.

David Atterbury said all proceeds will be going to the Royal Children’s Hospital, with the Good Friday Appeal celebrating 90 years of incredible work in 2021.

To volunteer prior to Good Friday or get more information, contact David Atterbury on 0439 324 494. To volunteer on Good Friday itself, register at the Bacchus Marsh Fire Station after 9am on the day, and you will be issued a name tag, high visibility vest and a collection can.

They are hoping to collect and donate more than their previous total of over $18,000. Co-ordinator Ian Ireland said anyone wanting to volunteer and help collect with the door-to-door knocking appeal can meet at the Ballan fire station at 9am on Good Friday 2 April. “And if you miss us or are not home, you can pre-donate at the Ballan Newsagency,” he said.
