Millwater Women’s Group
On Wednesday 18th March Millwater Women’s Group held a mini-event at Tayla’d Styling, Silverdale. We could only comfortably accommodate 20 people and we filled these spaces quickly. A repeat event is being held 29th April for those who missed out.
Everyone was greeted with a glass of bubbles and some nibbles which were supplied by Countdown Silverdale – a much enjoyed contribution, so big thanks to Countdown Silverdale for supporting their local community in this way. Tayla presented first, which was only fair since she had invited us into her space for the afternoon. Tayla and Roxy gave a demonstration of some easy hair-up jobs on our two beautiful models Caroline O’Reilly and Charlie Kingsnorth. They both looked stunning and we saw that it was possible to create sophisticated looks without too much effort. We also had some quick demonstrations of the use of Tayla’s fabulous products to tame our hair. Charlie Kingsnorth (looking like a very glamorous Gym Manager with her updo) then gave us a thorough rundown on what we could expect from Jetts Gym and her team there. I was certainly inspired to sign up as those less-than-fine days descend on us.

Last but not least, Leslie Dobson (the lotion lady) demonstrated World Organics skincare and makeup. We gave our hands mini “facials” and got to play with all the products. I have to say I love the ones that I bought on the day. We finished up the bubbles, met some more lovely local ladies and all enjoyed our two hours of “me time”. Northern Union offered “Ladies Night” priced cocktails to any who wished to finish their evening off there.
Millwater Women’s Group is next meeting for morning tea on Wednesday 22nd April at Roberts Coffee Bar, 2 Milner Avenue, Silverdale (NOT the Millwater Parkway site), 9.30 to 11.30am. All welcome and look forward to meeting you there.
