LOCAL TEAMS UNITE FOR EXTRA TIME CAMPAIGN M.V. MOBILITY
TOP Sheffield football stars Chris Morgan and Rob Jones are putting traditional club rivalries aside to back an appeal by a leading cancer charity to help thousands of families affected by the disease to spend more precious time together. Weston Park Hospital, more cancer patients are being afforded extra quality time with their loved ones, due to the pioneering cancer research undertaken at the hospital and the provision of the highest possible levels of treatment and care. Chris Morgan, club captain of Sheffield United, said: “I’m supporting the campaign as a friend was diagnosed with cancer and had some of his treatment at Weston Park Hospital. “I became a patron of Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity last year so I know how important the work done at the hospital is in helping so many families in Sheffield and beyond who are affected by cancer.
“This is why I want to encourage as many people as possible to support the Extra Time campaign – so that patients now and in the future get as much extra quality time as possible to spend with their families.” Rob Jones, Club Captain of Sheffield Wednesday said: “In football I’ve

seen many times how going into extra time during a match makes a difference. For patients living with cancer and their families and friends extra time is of course infinitely more precious. And this is why I’m asking as many people as possible to support this appeal.”
