COMMUNITY FESTIVAL AND WEEK-LONG ROADSHOW INVITES DONCASTER RESIDENTS FOR A BREW AND A NATTER Local community services and charities will be on hand to support local residents as part of a weeklong tour of the borough starting on Saturday 16 June. It’s all part of the Your Life Doncaster Community Festival and Roadshow organised to showcase the fantastic community,

voluntary, faith and third sector groups and activities in Doncaster. The event is free to attend and the tea will be free flowing for everyone that stops for a natter. The week-long tour kicks off with a Community Festival on Saturday 16 June in Market Square in Doncaster town centre. It will feature numerous stands, displays and interactive events,

all designed to help residents find out about ways they can help themselves and their wider local community. Councillor Chris McGuinness, Doncaster Council Portfolio Holder for Communities, Voluntary Sector and the Environment, said: “With over 1,500 local groups and community services listed on the Your Life Doncaster website,

the Roadshow is just a snapshot of the support that is available locally. “The Roadshow is a great opportunity for local residents to get out and meet contacts from some of the local services they may not realise are in place to help them stay well, safe and connected in Doncaster.” Following the Festival, the Roadshow will tour the borough and celebrate all things

community. It will offer members of the public an opportunity to speak to someone about their wellbeing and discover the fantastic local community services, charities and volunteering opportunities right on their doorstep.
