TRAMLINES FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES MORE ACTS Tramlines, the inner city music festival, has today announced more acts joining its already stellar line up. The UK’s biggest inner city festival, Tramlines, returns to Sheffield for its fifth year on Friday 19 July to Sunday 21 July with a bigger and better music programme than ever before. Today festival organisers have announced that acts including Shangaan Electro, Fenech-Soler, TY, Amplifier Anathema, Bondax, Bromheads, Brolin, Citizen, I Like Trains, John J Presley, Kasra, Luke Abbott, Masters in France, Maybeshewill,

Melanie Pain, Nadine Shah, Stay Positive, Sweet Baboo, The Pineapple Thief, Witch Hunt and Broken Hands will all be playing the three day festival. Fenech Soler join Mercury nominated Lianne La Havas on the Main Stage on Saturday 20 July and Broken Hands will be heading to Sheffield fresh from supporting the Rolling Stones at their Hyde Park gigs in early July. 184 BPM hyper-kinetic digital dance on tour from South Africa. Shangaan Electro’s music is fast, very fast, they headline the Peace Gardens Stage at Tramlines on Sunday

21 July. Many acts are still to be announced for the festival which across the city will feature hundreds of artists in 60 venues across Sheffield including four outdoor stages. There will be the welcome return of the Folk Forest, the Peace Gardens’ World Stage, the Buskers Bus, Street Theatre, the Weston Park party and the Blues and Ale Trail - all with line up announcements to follow. Festival Director Sarah Nulty said: “I think the latest additions to the line up really demonstrate just how broad the musical spectrum is at Tramlines.

There really is something for everyone. We’ve got some great names on the bill from across all musical genres. We’ve got some pretty exciting stuff in the pipeline and plenty left to announce in the coming weeks. We have really enhanced our fringe for 2013 so there is still a load more to announce.” Regular line-up announcements will be made over the coming weeks. Confirmations already include Lianne La Havas, David Rodigan MBE, Toddla T Sound, Maurice Fulton, Theo Parrish, New Young Pony Club, Shangaan Electro, Fenech Soler, Slow

Club, Jim Jones Revue, The Invisible, 2.54, Friends, Duke Dumont and Dutch Uncles.

A limited number of weekend tickets (priced at £15 plus booking fee) are available at http://2013.tramlines.org. uk/tickets/ by signing up to be a Tramliner. Day wristbands will be available on the door at £6 per person, under 5’s go free. Last year’s Tramlines saw over 150,000 people turn Sheffield into one massive festival over three days, creating the feel and atmosphere that rivals any green field festival site.
