Letter from Our Head of School & Board Chair
Dear Meadows Family,
We are honored to present to you the 2018-19 Honor Roll of Donors. In this annual publication, we report each year on the financial strength of The Meadows School, review the year’s milestones, and just as importantly, thank the Meadows community for its ongoing and generous support.
Your support means everything to us. This year, as in the past, your support has been overwhelming because of its impact on our school and our students. Every dollar donated has positively impacted the lives of the students, faculty, and staff members by providing necessary funds for the classroom and beyond. Moreover, we want to take the opportunity to offer a heartfelt thanks to everyone who volunteers time and energy to make sure our campus runs smoothly. Room parents, booster club volunteers, and TMSPA volunteers are just the tip of the iceberg; we could not provide a Meadows quality education without your help. Thank you.
As you peruse these pages, please bear in mind that your tuition dollars are earmarked for the operations of the school through payroll, campus maintenance, and supplies for faculty and students. Your Annual Fund contributions make all the extras possible. By way of example, in 2018-19 your generosity made it possible to send all of our faculty to the National Association of Independent Schools Conference in Long Beach, California. In the past two years we have also been able to re-surface the Lower School playground ahead of schedule, and to perform minor renovations on the Middle/Upper School library mid-year.
Finally, your support allows us the opportunity to boldly pursue the Meadows’ most recent Strategic Plan. For example, last year, we were able to launch the school’s first marketing plan, which has yielded a substantial increase in applicants; we are in the process of researching the viability of a capital campaign launch; and we have continued to increase the budgets both for academic and ancillary programs, and for faculty professional development.
As The Meadows School looks forward to completing its 35th year, we thank you once again for your support. Without you and your generosity, we would not be the school we are today.
