Yet life still feels exciting — first experiences, secret nights with boys, alcohol, the stadium, the village disco. But beneath the surface Marlene is mocked and begins to lose herself, her frustration and jealousy over Tina’s looks slowly pushing their friendship to its limits. Thirteen-year-old Monette feels life has treated her unfairly. Her family’s financial situation collapses overnight, leaving her wallet empty and every conversation revolving around money and cutbacks.

Frustrated but determined, she secretly begins looking for ways to earn her own income online and hatches an adventurous plan to take on small jobs without her parents knowing. In her first on-screen role, Runa portrays Monette with a mix of vulnerability and quiet resolve, turning the girl’s struggle into a vivid portrait of youthful resourcefulness and defiance.

Fack Ju Göthe 1 - 3 (Feature Films) Maike 10a A bank robber becomes a substitute teacher when Zeki Müller arrives at the Goethe Comprehensive School in search of his buried loot, only to find himself having to tame the notorious class 10b at the same time. In the second part, the final exams draw near and the oncechaotic students now want to achieve their Abitur, with Zeki fighting for every single one together with Lisi Schnabelstedt.

In the third part everything is at stake: class 11b faces its last chance, the Abitur is in danger and the school is threatened with closure, but Zeki and his students refuse to give up.

The series tells vivid, interwoven stories from the First World War, following people from different nations — from well-known figures such as Käthe Kollwitz and Ernst Jünger to unknown women, men and children whose lives were torn apart by the conflict. In this episode, Runa slips seamlessly into the role of Gretel, a schoolgirl sitting in class with her friend Elfriede when they are suddenly told that French words are now forbidden. This seemingly simple ban turns an ordinary lesson into a powerful sign of the war’s intrusion into everyday life, and Runa’s performance makes that moment of lost innocence tangible.

Fifty-something Ina is divorced and deep in debt. After thirty years of work she can no longer find a job, her account is frozen and she can’t pay her rent.

Hoping for a new start, she registers for a training course at the job centre, where she meets others with their own problems — including Enno, a young woman at the beginning of her pregnancy. Through the job centre Ina gets an interview at a call centre but, nervous, she fails.

Enno stays calm, gets the job and even moves in with Ina to help her. Despite the setbacks Ina refuses to give up.

In this story Runa takes on a completely different side as Enno Pinzdorf, showing a quieter strength and empathy alongside Ina’s struggles.

Bibi and Tina take part in a big geocaching competition at a summer camp where girls and boys from Berlin compete against each other in a series of challenges. What starts out as friendly rivalry soon becomes increasingly unfair: Urs cheats and even Tina’s boyfriend Alex switches to the boys’ team. In the middle of the contest Bibi suddenly loses her magic powers after drinking a herb smoothie with Kniesenwurz, and only after sweating it out do her powers return, allowing her to put out a forest fire and save the competition.

Berlin, 1888. The first season of “Charité” follows Ida Lenze, who after an emergency appendectomy has to work as an orderly at the hospital to pay off her treatment costs. In the course of her duties she discovers a passion for medicine and becomes a witness to a groundbreaking era in science, surrounded by figures such as Rudolf Virchow, Robert Koch, Emil Behring and Paul Ehrlich as they fight for breakthroughs against tuberculosis and diphtheria. At the same time Ida faces social and professional barriers, dreaming of a selfdetermined life and of studying medicine in Switzerland.

At the edge of their lives, two people are about to start over: nineteen-year-old Sascha and middle-aged Frank both walk away from everything they know in search of a new sense of purpose. Frank Sporbert is married with two children, and on the surface his life looks perfect — but his wife cheats on him, his teenage children show little respect and even at work he is no longer needed. In his midlife crisis Frank meets Sascha Decker, who seems to have every opportunity yet still feels dissatisfied.

In this lively adventure Runa joins the girls’ team as Meret, adding a fresh dynamic to the group and helping to bring the energy of the race to life.

Against this rich historical backdrop Runa portrays Else Bernhardine Spinola with depth and authenticity, bringing to life a young woman shaped by both the possibilities and the constraints of her time.

As the fifteen-year-old daughter of Frank and Carmen, who finds her father ridiculous and her mother’s obsession with fitness and beauty embarrassing, Runa vividly brings Becky Sporbert’s rebellious energy to life on screen.

When her partner starts drinking she throws him out and suddenly finds herself on her own. Just when she needs stability, her boss fires her. Refusing to give up, Tina drives a bakery van through villages north of Berlin.

Unemployed? Not her style. She buys her own van, joins the competition and runs the route a few minutes earlier — she has a plan for everything, even as life keeps getting in the way.

Against this backdrop Runa brings depth to Nora, Isy’s conflicted friend. She accompanies her to the party and is swept up in the night’s events, torn between loyalty and her own feelings as she tries to navigate the consequences and decide how to respond. Her portrayal captures the quiet panic and moral struggle of a teenager caught inside a moment that changes everything.

Amid this high-stakes setting, Runa steps into the story as Claudi, a figure woven into Shiri’s undercover mission who adds authenticity to the school environment and shows how easily ordinary lives can intersect with hidden crime.

As Tina’s oldest daughter, Carolin Sanftleben is brought to life with warmth and strength by Runa, who makes her an integral part of the family’s story and shows her growth alongside her mother.

As Ember Bell, Runa adds Ruby Bell’s sister’s voice to the story, gently revealing the hidden family side of Ruby’s life and the bond that keeps her grounded even as everything around her changes, bringing warmth and stability to the heart of Maxton Hall’s intrigue.

Did I cry during the movie? No. Did I cry after the movie? Oh, absolutely. I was lucky enough to attend an early showing (photos to the right!) and it starts as a girls’ trip to Europe where Heather - a Texas native and meticulous planner - meets Jack, a free-spirited New Zealander who follows his grandfather’s journal. She’s all about the itinerary; he’s all about going with the flow.

Together, they’re pure chaos, but somehow, they work.

Amazon Prime Video once again turned a book into a beautiful film. Sure, there were some cheesy moments, but that’s part of the charm with romance movies. The cast had such natural chemistry that you couldn’t help but root for them, and the European backdrops felt like another character in the story.

For me, it hit close to home. It stirred memories I’ve tried to bury since coming back from Germany in April. When Heather cried leaving a destination, it cracked something open in me too. Like Heather and Jack, I know that ache of wanderlust - the kind that makes you want to stay in a moment just a little longer. And maybe that’s why films like this matter: they remind us that love and adventure are worth chasing, even if they only last for a season.

An evening only a few will ever experience – where the magic of Maxton Hall begins weeks before the official release.

First, Prime surprised us with the special Maxton Hall – The Reunion, which we already covered in our last issue. More than a week later came the big announcement: on October 17, the exclusive premiere of the second season will take place in Berlin – an event that is already shaping up to be one of the highlights of the year.

Only a bunch of lucky fans had the chance to win exclusive tickets – and for them, the evening will be unforgettable. The premiere offers the unique opportunity to watch the first episodes ahead of the official release on November 7.

The Season 1 premiere also remains unforgettable – for many, a truly special experience. For me, it was my very first premiere, and I was lucky enough to be among those in attendance.

I still remember the anticipation in the room, the first images of Ruby and James on the big screen, and the moment when, after the screening, the cast appeared on stage. A memory that makes the excitement for October even stronger – and one I hope this year’s guests will share.

When the doors open in Berlin on October 17, it will not only mark the start of a new chapter for Ruby and James. It will also be an evening full of unique moments, where the magic of Maxton Hall shines weeks before its official release.

Produced by Story House Pictures (Sisi) in collaboration with ARD and ORF, the series follows Nannerl as she defies the limits of her time, even disguising herself as her brother to protect the family’s future.

Described as “big, poppy, loud”, the series combines lavish period detail with bold, modern storytelling. Havana Joy (LOVE SUCKS) leads as Maria Anna Mozart, joined by Eren M. Güvercin as Wolfgang. The ensemble cast also features Eidin Jalali (Maxton Hall), Verena Altenberger, Peter Kurth, Philipp Hochmair, Sonja Weißer (Maxton Hall), Lisa Vicari, and Annabelle Mandeng.

Which scene, storyline or character has left the biggest impression on you – and is there one you’d love to relive as if it were the first time?

We are Juliana and Frieda, the admins of @maxtonhallfanseite on Instagram.

That's an unfair question because there are so many!

We both read the books before the series was even announced, so we were day one fans of Mona Kastens story.

We absolutely love the scene between Ruby and her dad and also the talk between James and Alistair in Oxford.

At the time when the series was announced. there wasn't really any fan accounts out there, so to keep all the information from Prime Video together, Juliana decided to start this page to basically keep everyone updated on the news regarding Maxton Hall.

And two scenes we'd like to watch again for the first time are the one with Ruby and James in the car and the Oxford staircase scene between them - they are so full of emotion!

What was your very first impression of Maxton Hall when you started watching?

Could you briefly introduce yourself and your fan account? What first drew you to Maxton Hall and inspired you to create a fan page?

Incredible!

We both were so amazed by how the cast and crew made such a wonderful book adaptation come to life. What made us especially happy was, that they stayed so true to the book!

Also Frieda saw the first two episodes at the premiere of Season 1 so that was a crazy experience for itself.

What’s the best part of being a part of the Maxton Hall fandom?

Definitely all the messages we share with other fans.

Writing and talking about this series, that we love so much with so many people that share the feeling, is just amazing!

As we just said, the interaction with other fans and friends we got to know because of this account, is what we enjoy most about it!

Personally we see our account as more of an update page for all things Maxton Hall.

So the personal aspect is really the interaction with others through comments, messages and stories.

Has there been a special moment or interaction with the Maxton Hall community that stands out to you?

The most special thing about this community is that it truly forms friendships. Because well; fun fact: We only got to know each other through this account and became friends because of this fandom.

What’s the post or project you’ve shared about Maxton Hall that surprised you the most in terms of response?

Every repost of some Maxton Hall Monday that just suddenly went viral. And also our 3 year anniversary post, that got so appreciated by the fandom! But every interaction we get with the cast and crew is just always so special too!

What are you most excited to see in season two of Maxton Hall? Are there certain friendships, characters, or storylines you hope will get more attention?

We don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't read the books, so let's just say, we are really excited to see how they did the scene, which happens at the end of book one, and we love to see more from Ember.

Also we are looking forward to watch the development of the relationship between Ruby and Lydia in Season Two! Is there anything else you would like to share with the community or say about your journey as a fan?

I AM THE GREATEST – EVERYDAY MOMENTS ON THE BIG SCREEN Seven episodes, one film – thoughts and feelings we all recognize

On September 29, I Am the Greatest premiered at the Filmfest Hamburg – and I had the chance to watch the film myself.

Directed by Nicolai Zeitler and Marlene Bischof and presented by ARTE/ZDF Das kleine Fernsehspiel, the majority of the cast was also present, making the evening a special one.

The film consists of seven self-contained, loosely connected episodes that portray very different life situations: being a parent, being alone, building a career, dating, coping with separation, or struggling with self-worth. They allow us to experience thoughts and doubts many people know but rarely articulate.

Two episodes illustrate how this works: – In the story of Marie and Gabriel (played by Ben Felipe), two people who met a few days earlier in a club go on their first date. Gabriel takes the lead in the conversation and shares details about himself while Marie’s thoughts revolve around insecurity and memories.

– In another episode, a child goes through a night of terror because they fear disappointing their mother again.

What impressed me at the festival was how clearly the film makes these inner states audible and balances them with quiet moments of humor. Each episode has its own tone, yet together they form a coherent whole that feels close to everyday life and still captivates. At the premiere it was also announced that I Am the Greatest will soon be available as individual episodes on ARTE – no exact date has been given yet. Anyone interested in a storytelling style that combines everyday observations with inner perspectives should mark this release on their calendar.

Highlighting A Fandom Artist Meet Daniela — or Niela, as the fandom knows her. Our very first Highlight a Fandom Artist. From Mexico, she’s a graphic designer who brings Maxton Hall to life through her illustrations and creative designs. Whether she’s experimenting with color palettes or capturing unforgettable scenes, her work has quickly become a fan favorite.

To start, could you please introduce yourself — just whatever you feel comfortable sharing and think would be fun for readers to know.

Hi everyone! I’m Daniela, but I also go by Niela (wink, wink). I’m from Mexico, and when I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me crafting the perfect playlist on Spotify, on a mission to find the best chai tea in town, or (let’s be real) rewatching Maxton Hall season 1 for the millionth time.

How did you first get into illustration and design?

I guess there’s always been an artsy part of me. As a kid, I couldn’t go anywhere without a pencil, and I could spend hours with coloring books. Later on, I chose graphic design as my major and now work mostly in branding, but luckily, illustration has stayed with me as my creative side hustle, and it’s something I truly enjoy!

What made you decide to create a fan art account for Maxton Hall?

I started sharing a couple of Maxton Hall pieces on my personal art account, and I realized I enjoyed it way too much not to give it its own space. I already had my X account, which is basically where all my fangirl rants live, but I wanted an artsy corner too where I could fully focus on Maxton Hall through art. Of course, there was some self-doubt, and it took me longer than I’d hoped. But the truth is, by then I’d already met amazing people in the fandom, so opening a fan art account didn’t feel scary, it felt like getting a big warm hug. That encouragement was a huge push for me, and I’m really grateful for it.

Can you walk us through your creative process when making a new piece?

It really depends on whether it’s illustration or more design-focused, but the first step is always: what’s sparking this idea? Maybe a new photoshoot, an announcement, or a special date. Once I know the anchor, I decide if I’m going more into illustration or visual design.

For illustration, it’s usually: rough sketch → outline (sometimes) → coloring → 20

Do you have a favorite fan art you’ve created so far — and why?

Ohhh this is such a hard question! It’s like asking a parent to choose a favorite child, haha. But if I had to pick, it would be my very first Maxton Hall fanart. Back in May, before this account even existed, I wanted to celebrate the show’s anniversary. I redrew one of my favorite scenes: the Victorian dress scene aka the “Where’s my love?” moment (I still get goosebumps every single time I watch episode 3 by the way). That piece is actually on my personal art account, but it holds such a special place in my heart. It’s the piece that started it all, and without it, I wouldn’t even be here. I also remember getting the notification on my phone saying Marty and Mona had shared it on their stories, I was so excited that day I thought I might pass out, haha. Definitely a core memory.

Where do you find inspiration (both inside and outside the Maxton Hall universe)?

Inside the Maxton Hall world, I find inspiration everywhere: from iconic scenes and character dynamics to the overall atmosphere the show creates. The aesthetic itself is so beautiful and inspiring, it almost makes you want to create something instantly. Outside of MH, I draw a lot from music! I also love picking up color palettes from photography, or even just random everyday moments, like the shades in a café or a street view.

Inspiration sneaks up in the most unexpected ways.

What’s the most rewarding part of sharing your art with the fandom?

The sense of community by far! I always get so nervous before posting, but the moment people start reacting and leaving comments, all the doubts go away. The support is so genuine, and it feels amazing to share something and have people connect with it, it makes every shaky “share” button moment so worth it. I’ve been in other fandoms, but the Maxton Hall one feels really special.

Everyone uplifts each other, and the creativity behind every fan page is incredible. It’s honestly the best corner of the internet and I am so happy I get to be a part of it.

Any dream projects or future ideas you’d love to create related to Maxton Hall (or beyond)?

I’d love to do more in-universe designs, like the postcard I did from Headmaster Lexington, or creating a gala poster as if I were on the events committee. Stuff that makes the world of Maxton Hall feel even more real. I’d also love to create something for the book trilogy. Editorial illustration is one of my favorite areas, so mixing that with Save Me would be a dream. So many ideas, not enough hours

lighting/ambience. For design, it’s more about setting the style, editing assets, picking fonts, and building a color palette.

A good example of both worlds are my Bullet Journal-style posts, they’re handwritten and doodly, but also rely a lot on layout and photography. Honestly, it’s a process I know so well from my work in design that it feels natural, and I enjoy each stage of it.

How do you balance your own personal art style with capturing the vibe of Maxton Hall?

The Maxton Hall aesthetic is so dreamy and elegant, the whole visual team did amazing work. My own style is more playful and colorful, so I try to meet in the middle. I always keep the show’s mood and atmosphere in mind, but I still let little pieces of “me” shine through: in the colors I choose, the textures I add, or the doodly details I can’t resist.

I think that balance is what makes it fun: honoring the show’s vibe while still leaving my personal stamp on it.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start sharing their fan art online?

Just go for it! I hesitated for such a long time, but once you start, everything else falls into place. Of course, it takes work (running a fan page means time and effort) but if you love creating, the rest comes naturally. Don’t wait for the “perfect” moment; the fun is in the process, people connect with your perspective, and that’s what makes it special.
