Its no secret that Morehouse College graduates exceptional men who go on to do great things in their respective career fields and areas. James Jeter, a 2013 graduate of Morehouse College from Washington D.C., has distinguished himself as one of these exceptional men. As a Man of Morehouse, Jeter was one of the many stylish gentlemen to walk up and down Brown St. and helped establish many of Morehouse’s current fashion trends. His eclectic yet refined style helped distinguish himself from his peers. Additionally, while at Morehouse, Jeter contributed to The Maroon Tiger as a staff writer and started one of MT’s first fashion & style columns. Now, Jeter is currently a Men’s Concept Designer at Ralph Lauren Headquarters in New York, NY. The Maroon Tiger (MT): As a Man of Morehouse, you were one of the most flee guys on campus. Presently, you are a Morehouse Man working as a designer at Ralph Lauren after graduating almost 2 years ago. How did that happen? James Jeter (JJ): I think timing had a lot to do with it, a little bit of luck, and the people at RL that I became friends with. I¹ve been preparing to be a designer for a while, so my ending up here has been in the works much longer than a year.
