The City of Wellsville dates back to the first known survey of the area in September 1870 by Mr. Wells who was surveying for the Santa Fe Railroad. The City was incorporated July 8, 1884. Today, Wellsville offers modern amenities and hometown charm. Citizens come to Wellsville City Hall to pay fines, attend City Council meetings, apply for permits, pay utility bills, and get information.

Memory Lane Christmas Tree Farm specializes in the fragrance of Christmas with a Scotch pine from the choose-and-cut field or shop inside the red barn for Balsam and Fraser Firs from Michigan. Each tree purchase includes a free Memory Lane Tree ornament, a tree disposal bag, and a cup of hot cider.
The Memory Lane Light Display has been a Christmas tradition for over 26 years. It includes 60 lighted scenes or figures along a half-mile drive through Memory Lane Christmas Tree Farm. The highlight of the display is the Memory Tree - a 40 foot tall oak tree covered in lights that is visible from two areas along the drive. Visitors are invited to pin a memory on the bulletin board next to the Memory Tree.
