I'm a curious soul with a tale of twists and turns. Minnesota bore witness to my first steps, but destiny whisked me off to China at just five years old. My father's work became my passport to a world of new sights, sounds, and languages, immersing me in the vibrant tapestry of Chinese life. Those formative years in China painted my memories with vivid strokes—a medley of bustling markets, unfamiliar tastes, and a language that flowed effortlessly from my lips. Yet, life's journey eventually guided me back to the familiar shores of the United States at twelve, where the language slipped away like sand through my fingers. A fire to rekindle my connection blazed within me. Fuelled by a love for Chinese culture and history, I embarked on a mission to revive my language skills. And so, I find myself today, proudly contributing as an English editor and writer for The Mimir Magazine. Within these pages, I weave my journey into words, seeking to bridge divides and share the stories that unite us all. As I delve into each article, I invite you to join me on a voyage that transcends borders and languages. The pages of The Mimir Magazine hold tales that celebrate our shared humanity, reminding us that while our paths may differ, our stories ultimately converge.

undergraduate and master's degrees are in Chinese International Education. I can speak English and Vietnamese, as well as Cantonese and Hakka dialects. I have been engaged in online teaching Chinese as a foreign language for three years, teaching courses mainly in Chinese, YCT, and HSK&HSKK exam preparation courses. My teaching style is lively and I am good at guidance. In my spare time, I enjoy playing guzheng and writing calligraphy, and I am currently learning how to cook. In teaching, what one enjoys is the process of mutual learning and teaching. The happiest thing is to receive sincere confessions from students and friends. The content they love most is not knowledge but emotional value, and what they want most is to become a foreign Chinese teacher who can write novels.

我很喜欢植物，但是我真的不会养。因为我工作很忙，所以没 有很多的时间照顾它们。有一天我去凯文家玩，发现他养了一种 神奇的植物：空气植物。它们不需要泥土，不需要水，在空气里 就可以活得很好。这真是太酷了！凯文看我很喜欢这种植物，和 我说了很多空气植物的事情。 空气植物有很多，像霸王凤梨, 蜜桃小精灵等。它们都很小，有 的叶子会变颜色，有的还可以开花呢。虽然它们都有根，但是它 们的根只有固定植物的作用。它们的叶子会像根一样，吸收空气 里的水分和养分。 空气植物不需要泥土，也不需要浇水，它们真的那么容易养 吗？我们需要注意什么？ 第一，我们需要给它们喷雾补水。如果你在很热的地方，可能 每天都需要给它们做一次喷雾。 第二，喷雾的时候，不要喷太多。因为喷得太多，水会留在叶 子的中间，植物容易生病。 第三，如果我们忘了给它们喷雾，植物变干。我们可以把它放 在水里，等待2-3个小时，再拿出来晒干。这样植物可以继续活 下去。 第四，不同的空气植物需要的太阳光也不同。如果植物的叶子 很绿、很薄或很细，它们不需要太多的阳光；但是如果植物的叶 子有点白，而且很厚，它们需要比较多的太阳光。 第五，空气植物都需要在通风的地方生活，这样它们才能在空 气中得到足够多的水分和养分。 如果你喜欢，你也可以把几个空气植物放在木头上、玻璃容器 里，或者跟其他的花和植物放在一起。如果读到这里，你觉得空 气植物有意思，就去买一个在家里养吧！ TMM | 07
