Welcome back to another edition of Mimir Magazine! We’re now entering the second half of 2023—time sure flies! It’s now summer in some parts of the world, so I hope you all stay cool and hydrated for the next few months! In this edition, we have quite a number of interesting articles. Love a furball? 以前，很多人去故宫是为了看皇帝和他的 妻子们住过的房子。但现在，很多人去故 宫是为了看那里的猫。 白天，故宫里有很多工作的人和来参观的 人。到了晚上，人们都走了，不过住在这 里的还有200多只猫！ 这些猫是从哪里来的呢？它们为什么会住 在故宫呢？

其实故宫最早的猫来自明朝。那时候的皇帝 朱元璋特别喜欢猫，他在南京住的时候就养 了一些。后来，他从南京搬到北京，把这些 猫也带过来了。所以这些猫可能是最早住在 故宫里的动物了。现在，故宫里的猫很多都 是皇帝养的猫的后代，所以它们都是皇家 猫！ 这些猫不只住在故宫，它们也在故宫里“工 作”。因为以前故宫有很多老鼠，但是有了这 些猫以后就不一样了。它们每天晚上都看着 这个家，不让老鼠破坏它。 这些猫其实是有人照顾的，那就是在故宫里 工作的人。他们每天都会跟这些猫打招呼， 还会花钱给它们买猫粮。他们还给这些猫建 立了基金，这样猫生病的时候就有钱给它们 看病了。 现在，越来越多的人知道了这些猫。人们会 在网上买好猫粮，然后寄给在故宫工作的 人。而且，如果你去故宫玩的话，你还能在 商店里看到故宫猫样子的礼品。他们现在已 经是故宫的吉祥物了。 下次你来故宫玩，也可以去看看这些猫呀！ 作者：豆子
