Editor's Note In this issue you’ll read about bats and Chinese culture, you’ll learn how to make Coca Cola Chicken wings, and you’ll even read a funny little story about sharks. To end this issue, you’ll be treated with a story that is soaked in good memory and nostalgia. This issue offers stories of all skill levels, from the easier shark story, to the more difficult DanDan Noodles piece. You may find the piece on Chinese square dancing has a few aspects that are difficult to grasp as a student. I would recommend that you start with the first story, and finish with the last. However, in between, I’d recommend reading the shark and lemon stories when you’re looking for easier, yet amusing reads. You may want to wait to read the chicken recipe until you’re ready to eat, because it’s bound to make you hungry! As a student, I find these stories to be both challenging and fluid in some ways. They have a nice flow, but can offer a few challenges at times, which is great for learning new words and concepts. Most of all, this issue is a lot of fun to read, hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.

This story is a cute and easy one to read. I would recommend reading this one before bed, or when you just wake up. It would put you in a good mood. For extra practice, take turns with a friend acting out the sharks in the story. Go back and forth and practice the story in Chinese.
