DESIGN THEME BY MULLINER: EXCLUSIVELY FOR SUPERSPORTS

B

entley designers have created ‘Design Theme by Mulliner’ – a bold statement, of performance and unique style, available exclusively on Supersports. Now for the first time on any Bentley, the pinnacle ‘Design Theme by Mulliner’, introduces a paint fade running from one side of the car to the other. A bold highlight colour defines the driver’s side and blends seamlessly across the body into a darker tone on the opposite side. A single off-centre highlight stripe runs from front to rear, aligned with the passenger seat. This design emphasises the driver-focused nature of Supersports and reinforces its exclusivity. The theme irrelevant of hand of drive, always centres around the driver. Finishing exterior details include a number eight to the front grille, and an accent pinstripe to the carbon diffusers, fender blades and sills. Three specially curated themes – applied to both the exterior and interior – are available: · Dragon – Dragon Red fading to Black Crystal exterior, paired with Hotspur and Beluga interior for a striking, driver-focused aesthetic

· Electric – Electric Blue fades into Dark Sapphire giving a more subtle fade to the exterior of the car, whilst the interior still offers a vibrant Klein blue complimenting the Imperial Blue cabin · Brodgar – A contemporary alternative, with Pale Brodgar fading to Brodgar on the exterior, complemented with Camel and Beluga to the inside of the cabin. The interior of the new Supersports is as purposeful as the rest of the car, inspired by the energy and precision of motorsport. Two-seat only, it completes the focus on driver engagement that is the singular mission statement of the car. For the most unique design theme offered, the interior adopts a two-tone layout, with the brighter colour surrounding the driver and the darker tone reserved for the passenger. The interior includes the Full Leather Specification, with door inserts and seats featuring a unique Supersports perforation pattern. The contrast gear lever matches the driver’s seat, detailed with contrast stitching to the dashboard and headrests. 7

The Design Theme by Mulliner has been carefully curated with a selection of exclusive paint combinations chosen by Bentley designers. Customers interested in alternative or bespoke paint finishes can consult their Bentley retailer, with Mulliner being able to explore additional possibilities. Supersports Design Themes (Level One & Two) The Supersports launched with two unique design themes – Level One and Level Two - meaning customers could choose different styles that included a threetone interior cabin, perforated Dinamica to seats and doors, contrast stitching and embroidery and a heated three-tone, three spoke hide trimmed steering wheel. The visual impact to the exterior was heightened with gloss black and diamond machine-finished 22” wheels, pinstripes accents to the body kit and an exterior lower door logo for Level One and further rear quarter livery stripes for Level Two. Five different colour specifications were available to choose from, names Skies, Meteorite, Daybreak, Snowstorm and Nightfall. Design Theme by Mulliner will make its debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it will feature as one of three special Mulliner-painted cars on display on the Bentley stand – located diagonally opposite Goodwood House. 8

New McLaren 788HS: The pinnacle of an era-defining series of supercars

McLaren introduces the new 788HS – the definitive and final evolution of its award-winning series supercar that celebrates and concludes the multi-award-winning supercar lineage that began with 720S and evolved through 765LT and 750S. The 788HS features a 788PS 4.0-litre twin turbo V8, which combines with a 1,265kg dry weight to deliver a power-to-weight of 623PS per tonne – the highest achieved by any model in the 720S, 750S and 765LT series. When coupled with the unique aerodynamic package, amplified exterior design cues and personalisation possibilities, the result is heightened performance on track, even greater engagement on the road, and the chance for each client to celebrate the car’s era-defining linage in their own way using the expertise of McLaren Special Operations (MSO). The McLaren 788HS wears the ‘High Sport’ designation reserved only for the most special expressions of a series production McLaren. Until now, this rare badge has only appeared on two previous McLarens; the MP4-12C HS and the MSO HS. 10

On the Road

Assertive design The McLaren 788HS features sculpted bodywork elements that provide the most advanced aerodynamic package ever applied to the platform, increasing downforce by 10% over 765LT, with uncompromised vehicle dynamics and balance. The aerodynamic concept centres around a new S-Duct bonnet, a raised active rear spoiler and an intricate Formula 1-inspired rear diffuser. Working in combination with a bespoke front splitter, these elements enhance stability, performance and driver confidence. The louvred under-wing panel further supports powertrain cooling and aerodynamic efficiency. Gloss black exterior accents include a roof scoop on Coupe derivatives, and clients can opt for full Visual Carbon Fibre bodywork – encompassing every exterior panel – highlighting the car’s lightweight construction. The driver centric cabin layout includes the latest McLaren Infotainment System II for intuitive connectivity and convenience, as well as a lightweight carbon fibre centre console that signifies the level of focus applied to every aspect of 788HS. The cabin also features bespoke HS branding with a unique perforation pattern for the upholstery and a dedication plaque. 11

“

The new McLaren 788HS has been designed and engineered with a singular focus; to deliver a visceral experience and captivating drive through its precise balance of performance, sound, dynamism and individuality. It represents the ultimate expression of our supercar series that began with the 720S and becomes only the third McLaren to wear our HS designation – a fitting finale for a much loved and critically acclaimed car.” Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, Chief Commercial Officer, McLaren Automotive

Track precision meets on-road engagement The heart of the 788HS is McLaren’s M840T 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, which revs to 8,500rpm and develops peak power at 7,500rpm. With 800Nm of torque it delivers immediate response and sustained acceleration – from 0-100km/h in 2.8s, 0-200km/h in 7.0s, to a top speed of 330km/h (205mph). A unique engine mount calibration for 788HS delivers heightened engagement and connection between powertrain and driver without compromising long-distance usability. Proactive Chassis Control III linked-hydraulic suspension system with bespoke suspension tuning delivers even higher levels of dynamic performance. The 788HS also features a 5mm lower front ride height than the 750S, for a more dynamic and engaging driving experience. Braking performance is enhanced through carbon ceramic discs derived from the McLaren Senna, with black 12

On the Road

six-piston forged aluminium monoblock front calipers and integrated cooling for sustained high-performance use. The 788HS also introduces the first centre-lock wheel mechanism ever fitted to this supercar series, in combination with a new Super Lightweight Forged Alloy wheel. The quad-exit titanium exhaust system amplifies the V8’s distinctive soundtrack, with more intensity throughout the rev range, while carefully engineered induction and exhaust sound symposer technologies immerse occupants in the unmistakable soundtrack of McLaren’s twin-turbocharged V8. 13

FERRARI 12CILINDRI MANUALE: THE PUREST EXPRESSION OF DRIVING Ferrari today unveiled the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale, a limited-edition special series of the Ferrari 12Cilindri that opens up a new way of experiencing the purest expression of Ferrari’s DNA, placing the relationship between driver input, mechanics, and control at the heart of the driving experience. Designed for those seeking a physical and engaging experience behind the wheel without compromising on usability, the car combines the driving emotions typical of Ferrari Gran Turismo models from the 1950s, 60s, and 70s with the most advanced contemporary technology, aiming to make the interaction between driver and car even more direct. The Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale is designed to deliver sublime and exclusive driving emotions through two major innovations: the manual command and the new 14

clutch pedal, which together form the Manuale by-wire system, engineered entirely at Maranello. The system offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the analogue gear-shifting experience, leveraging the most advanced technology to ensure precision, repeatability, and ease of use. The intensive design and development work carried out by Ferrari have made it possible to translate the physicality of mechanical movement into an electronic signal while fully preserving its analogue feel, consistency, and naturalness. This was achieved through a highly integrated process that drew on a range of cross-functional expertise within the Company, including collaboration with the team responsible for the Hypersail project – which, using the same approach, developed a cutting-edge technological by-wire solution for the nautical sector.

On the Road

The car can be driven in manual mode in the first six gears and reverse, or in automatic mode, offering maximum freedom to choose between driving engagement and comfort. Within this balance, the naturally aspirated V12 is the ideal engine for enhancing the progression and handling of gear changes, thanks to its rev range extending up to 9,500 rpm and the character of its power at high revs.

The interplay between the innovative gear lever, the clutch pedal, and the accelerator pedal becomes an integral part of the driving experience, fostering a deep connection between driver and car that allows the 12Cilindri’s full potential to be realised. The new Manuale by-wire system combines the technology of Ferrari’s highly acclaimed 8-speed DCT gearbox with a system redesigned from scratch, introducing entirely 15

new components and a gear lever designed to deliver a pure, engaging analogue feel. The architecture features a gear lever selector, a control panel, and a pedal assembly with a clutch pedal (also by-wire) that allows the driver to manage the engagement and disengagement of the clutch pack, as well as updates to the control unit and gearbox/engine control software. The result is a blend of mechanical-electronic technology that delivers pinpoint precision and load control without compromising the driving feel, creating a unique offering in the world of high-performance motoring. The manual control system consists of a mechanical module equipped with sensors and advanced kinematic mechanisms that replicate the mechanical loads typical of Ferrari manual gearboxes during the synchronisation, engagement, and disengagement phases. The kinematic mechanism generates clicks and load variations, providing clear feedback to the driver regarding gear engagement. If the clutch is not depressed or an unauthorised gear is selected, the system is able to mechanically inhibit engagement, preventing the operation from being completed; when the lock is not active, however, the kinematic mechanism is free to move. The manual 16

control system is completed by two angle sensors that detect lever positions, a knob, and a backlit button panel for improved readability and integration with the interface. The compact, modular mechanism is machined from solid blocks and weighs less than 3.5 kg. Furthermore, even the acoustic effects of its movements have been the subject of dedicated development to enhance the perception of the underlying mechanics. The manual gear-changing process is complemented by the three-pedal layout, completely redesigned for the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale. The clutch-by-wire pedal acts as a high-precision interface between the driver and the powertrain: the pedal position is detected by a position sensor on the pedal assembly and then translated into hydraulic actuation of the DCT clutch, thereby coordinating the transmission and engine during gear changes. The system recreates the typical load-travel curve of mechanically linked manual gearboxes thanks to an innovative passive mechanical system. An angle position sensor continuously reads the driver’s intent throughout the entire range of pedal travel. This results in behaviour consistent with the logic of traditional manual gearboxes: correct synchronisation yields a smooth, precise

On the Road

gear change; otherwise, it may become more difficult, resulting in a jerk or a stall – heightening driver involvement and the satisfaction of authentic torque feedback. The system also features specially developed transition logics between manual and automatic modes, as well as coasting management to ensure complete fluidity right down to idle, with behaviour consistent with the use of the clutch during deceleration.

Inside the cabin of the Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale, the centre tunnel console, gear lever, knob, gear shift gate, and pedals reinterpret the iconic elements of Ferrari cars with lever-operated manual transmission in a contemporary way. The gear shift gate echoes the six-speed shift pattern, with reverse at the top left, while the round aluminium gear knob is enhanced by a backlit screen print indicating the six gears and the 17

currently active driving mode (automatic/manual). The centre tunnel console area has been redesigned to improve ergonomics during manual gear changes and in automatic mode; the pedal assembly completes the driver-focused layout, arranged in a triangular configuration between the steering wheel and the seat. The iconic gear shift gate has been reinterpreted, retaining its original iconic status and integrating it harmoniously into the car’s stylistic language. The steel plate is embellished with an anodised aluminium sculpture in the shape of a tuning fork, which incorporates the control panel and key housing. The design of the components and the leather-upholstered console have also been crafted to harmonise with the contemporary aesthetic of the Ferrari 12Cilindri in a balanced and coherent way: a refined touch, designed to discreetly celebrate the gear shift gate’s return to its original function. The Ferrari 12Cilindri Manuale is offered as a limited series of just 1,499 cars, a number that recalls the displacement of the first Ferrari twelve-cylinder engine produced in 1947, becoming an integral part of the new 18

model’s identity. It is designed for Ferraristi who are loyal to front-engined V12 two-seater berlinettas and seeking a more physical level of driving emotions. Its exclusivity is further reinforced by a dedicated Tailor Made specification and details that ensure instant recognition - not merely as an extension of the range but as the very language from which the design took shape. The side badge features the car’s laser-etched logo, whilst the front splitter and rear wings feature a pinstripe finish that pays homage to the Ferrari 365 GTB4. These elements are complemented by a special finish for the scudetto, specially designed five-spoke forged wheels and aluminium door sills engraved with the car’s logo. FERRARI 12CILINDRI The Ferrari 12Cilindri draws inspiration from the iconic Ferrari Gran Turismo models of the 1950s and 1960s, fully embodying the ethos of Ferrari’s front-engined, two-seater V12s: a perfect blend of elegance, versatility, and performance. It represents the latest evolution of this prestigious lineage, carrying forward a unique heritage and raising it to new standards of performance, comfort, and design. Its design exudes sportiness and

On the Road

sophistication: simple, harmonious lines blend with innovative features such as integrated active aerodynamics designed to deliver unrivalled performance, and the reverse-opening bonnet that showcases the engine bay. The picture is completed by the twin pairs of exhaust tailpipes, a hallmark of Ferrari’s twelve-cylinder engines. Under the bonnet, the new naturally aspirated

6.5-litre V12, capable of delivering 830 hp and revving up to 9,500 rpm, offering linear power delivery and an unmistakable sound. With a top speed in excess of 340 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3.0 seconds, the 12Cilindri redefines the concept of the modern grand tourer, combining extreme performance and uncompromising refinement. 19

A TALES & TREASURES LOVE STORY THE STORY OF QAYS & LAILA IMMORTALIZED BY BAB SAMHAN AND CHARMALEENA

F

rom the earth rises ancient civlisations, where mud brick walls and palm lined pathways hold the memory of generations who left their mark through poetry, craftsmanship, and tradition. History is not confined to the past. It lingers in every courtyard, every doorway, and every story still waiting to be told. And some stories are too beautiful to belong to history. They linger in the places that first gave them life, in the wind that moves across the desert, in the verses passed from one generation to the next, and in the doorways that have quietly witnessed centuries of arrivals and farewells.

Few have endured like that of Qays and Laila. They travel through time, finding new voices, new places, and new ways to be remembered. Long before they became the Arab world’s most celebrated lovers, they were simply two souls whose story unfolded beneath the open desert skies. Denied a life together, Qays turned to poetry, writing verses that would outlive both him and his beloved. Centuries later, his words continue to echo across our world, not because they tell us how love ends, but because they remind us why some stories never do.

It is not the dwellings themselves that captured my hear but those who dwelled within them”

One verse remains as powerful today as when they were first spoken:

25

Brilliant Bijoux

Long after the verses were first spoken, they remain as timeless as ever. They live within the landscapes they first inspired, in the stories passed down, and in the objects that preserve what words cannot. United by a shared reverence for heritage, Bab Samhan and Charmaleena give those echoes a new form through The Locket of Love inspired by memory, belonging, and the timeless beauty of stories carried close to the heart. Drawing from the enduring story of Qays and Laila, The Locket of Love is engraved with poetry and reflects the intricate patterns of traditional doors and homes. Crafted in 18k gold and diamonds, it carries the words and spirit of the tale in a piece that can be treasured, worn, and personalised, allowing each wearer to make it a story of their own. Taking its name from one of ancient Diriyah’s most iconic gates, Bab Samhan stands as a passage between past and present, preserving the stories of Najd while inviting new ones to unearth. Together with Charmaleena, whose contemporary fine jewellery is known for transforming emotions and narrative into heirloom worthy masterpieces, the two unite through profound pride in culture. It is through this shared commitment that a limited edition collaboration takes shape. As part of Charmaleena’s signature Tales & Treasures collection this meaningful edition pays homage to a land where poetry was born and emotions were immortalised, finding its home at Bab Samhan, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Diriyah. 26

Patek Philippe unveils two first exceptional timepieces that will be exhibited at the WATCH ART grand exhibition Milan 2026 For the seventh edition of its Grand Exhibitions across the world, Patek Philippe chose Italy, one of its leading historical markets. From October 2 to 18, 2026, merely 3 months away, the general public and watch enthusiasts will be able to immerse themselves in the world of the last remaining independent family-owned Geneva watch manufacture. They will discover a decor of nearly 2,900 square meters, taking them behind the scenes of Patek Philippe itself. The largest exhibition ever organized by the manufacture, this event will be marked by the launch of several limited editions and the display of rare exceptional timepieces. As heir to a noble Genevan tradition, Patek Philippe has always placed great importance on sharing its passion for fine watchmaking, particularly by means of exhibitions. Fourteen years ago, Patek Philippe 28

launched a new concept of Grand Exhibitions open to the public, offering free admission and encouraging closer acquaintance with its creations, heritage, philosophy and breadth of expertise. In the course of the six editions organized to date, these events have increased in size and scope, welcoming a total of some 165,000 visitors. After Dubai in 2012, Munich in 2013, London in 2015, New York in 2017, Singapore in 2019 and Tokyo in 2023, Patek Philippe chose Milan for its seventh Grand Exhibition. Historically, Italy represents a key market for the brand – a market of connoisseurs, treasuring rare handcrafts and able to appreciate all the technical excellence and painstaking workmanship contained in a timepiece. Italian customers, born into a culture that unites respect for tradition and artisan skills with a flair for design and fashion and an

avant-garde spirit, are also perfectly placed to understand the “tradition of innovation” that has guided Patek Philippe since 1839. An exceptional decor Open from Friday 2 to Sunday 18 October 2026, the Patek Philippe WATCH ART grand exhibition Milan 2026 will be held, as were the previous exhibitions, in emblematic surroundings of the host city. This Italian edition will take place in the Palazzo delle Scintille, newly renamed the CityOval, at the heart of the CityLife district, Milan’s new, exclusive business and residential quarter. The last historic bastion of this new quarter, the Palazzo delle Scintille has been completely renovated as part of this zone’s urban regeneration. Beneath a dome rising to 30 meters, the exhibition will occupy some 2,900 square meters of the total 4,000 available. Located at its center, Patek Philippe will

offer the most spectacular decor ever conceived for its Grand Exhibitions. Divided into 15 different themed areas, the exhibition will offer visitors many new surprises through a total immersion in the Patek Philippe universe and a unique chance to discover the brand’s most renowned Geneva settings: the historic headquarters in the Rue du Rhône, the manufacture at Plan-les-Ouates and the Patek Philippe Museum. The entire current collection The Patek Philippe WATCH ART grand exhibition Milan 2026 will bring together some 500 timepieces and objects illustrating a wealth of different types of expertise. In particular, visitors may admire the manufacture’s entire current collection, with its lavish choice of watch families and models for men and for women, spanning every watchmaking segment from the style icons to the most technically complex mechanisms. on enamel, cloisonné enamel, hand engraving, micro wood marquetry, hand-executed guilloché work and gemsetting, will be on show, along with demonstrations by artisans before the visitor’s eyes. Among this exceptional collection, the following two unique timepieces will be featured. The “Burano” Ref. 992/193J-001 pocket watch in hand-executed cloisonné, flinqué, and paillonné enamel, as well as hand-engraving, a truly unique piece in yellow gold, pays tribute to the Venetian island of Burano, known for its canals lined with brightly colored houses. The case-back is adorned with guilloché work in a pattern of waves, then with cloisonné enameling in 70 colors. The sparkling, colorful reflections in the water are rendered with the paillonné technique of gold and silver leaf embedded beneath the enamel. Further line engraving decorates the border of the case back, the bezel and the bow, drawing inspiration from an ancient

motif used in lacemaking, an art for which Burano is renowned. Guilloché work produces the pattern of waves on the dial, shining through translucent blue enamel of flinqué enameling. This pocket watch is accompanied by a stand in yellow gold presenting an arc adorned with a capstan knot and eight rings, set with 108 spinel gems (1.15 cts) and 102 sapphires (1.18 cts). The arc rests on an oval base in blue quartz clad with glyptic work in rock crystal and set with a blue sapphire cabochon (0.4 ct). It also comes with a chain in yellow gold, suspending a medallion set with 18 sapphires (0.31 ct) and 18 spinels (0.30 ct). The “Sicilian Oranges” Ref. 20179M001 Dome table clock is a unique piece in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel showcasing the technical feat of offering two visual planes for a sense of depth to the scene: the first plane is of orange trees, the second of the city of Palermo in miniature painting on enamel. To outline the

trees and the fruit the enameller used some 15 m of gold wire (~26.8 g). The vibrant tints to render all the nuances of the orange trees called for a rich palette of transparent, opalescent and opaque enamels in 49 colors. Miniature painting on enamel in 4 to 5 pastel colors lend a touch of softness to the decoration. This contrast allowed the enameller to convey the distance between the two planes, notably by introducing blurring and shading effects, a mark of great technical prowess. Each enameled plate underwent from 9 to 11 firings at temperatures of between 900°C and 910°C. The hour circle, inspired by the clock on a Sicilian church, presents applied Roman numerals transfer-printed in blue and pierced blue-lacquered leaf-shaped hands centering a metallic ornament cut out to represent the sun. This piece is powered by the caliber 17’’’ PEND TABLE mechanical movement rewound by an electric motor. 31

Brilliant Bijoux

The Jewels of the Patek Philippe Museum As was the custom with previous editions, this exhibition will also present a selection of more than 90 timepieces belonging to the Patek Philippe Museum in Geneva and exceptionally allowed to travel for the Milan event. Those from the “Antique Collection” (16th to early 19th century) include some of the oldest watches in the world and numerous technical and aesthetic masterpieces illustrating the entire history of horology. In addition, pieces from the “Patek Philippe Collection” trace the manufacture’s rich heritage. The following exceptional timepieces were specifically chosen for this Italian event. The pocket watch of King Umberto I of Savoy (N° inv. P-1235) from 1897 is an open-faced watch with stem winding and setting by a pusher in a yellow gold case, featuring a white enamel dial with double numbering of painted black Roman numerals for the diurnal hours, and painted red Arabic numerals for the nocturnal hours, with a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The back is enameled with the coat of arms of King Umberto I and set with rosecut diamonds. A pocket watch from circa 1830, made for the Italian market (N° inv. 32

S-563) features key winding, a cylinder escapement with a ruby cylinder, and a dial made of engine-turned silver with hour (XII) and minutes (60) indications. The case is made of engraved gold and champlevé enamel. The back cover is enhanced with champlevé enamel representing a map of northern Italy. The World Time Ref. 1415 HU (N° inv. P-1026) from 1948 is a gentleman’s wristwatch in a rose gold case. The rotating bezel indicating 41 locations represents the 24 time zones. The cloisonné enamel dial with applied gold Roman numerals represents the

Eastern hemisphere. The revolving 24hour disc indicates diurnal and nocturnal hours with Arabic numerals. An exceptional reunion of horological masterpieces Additionally, the most prestigious pieces of the history of Patek Philippe will be exhibited in Milan for a truly amazing and eye-opening experience, including the famous Calibre 89, most complicated portable timepiece (33 complications), which was made to celebrate the Manufacture’s 150th anniversary, the most complicated wristwatch , the Patek Philippe Grandmaster Chime Ref. 5175 with

20 complications, created for the 175th anniversary, and the Star Caliber 2000, in a specially dedicated area, the “Super Complications” room. A large space will be reserved for chiming watches, one of the manufacture’s strongholds showcased in a dedicated room entitled “Master of Sound”. Visitors will also have the chance to meet Patek Philippe master watchmakers, who will carry out demonstrations on a variety of movements. Another room will present the vast collection of movements designed and built entirely by Patek Philippe, with an expanded area devoted to the steps involved in producing the parts and another dedicated to research and development. A fine array of limited editions Similarly to its predecessors, the grand exhibition WATCH ART Milan will be accompanied by the launch of various limited editions in every segment of the Patek Philippe collection. 33

GRAFF INTRODUCES A GOLDEN ERA WITH NEW LAURENCE GRAFF SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN Backdropped by the Los Angeles skyline, striking visuals capture the luminous energy of the collection

As golden hour hits the Los Angeles skyline and the city begins to glow, Graff reveals its newest designs from the Laurence Graff Signature collection in a bold expression of modern luxury. Shot high above the energy of LA, against the architectural backdrop of the iconic Sheats– Goldstein Residence, models Faretta Radic and Akbar Shamji radiate the golden glamour of Hollywood in an evocative new Laurence Graff Signature campaign. Exceptional goldwear, born of a diamond and inspired by the ways in which Graff’s magnificent gems refract and reflect light, every Laurence Graff Signature creation transforms the precise, multifaceted cuts of Graff’s signature stone into the purest yellow, white or rose gold. Designs showcase the House’s unparalleled goldsmithing expertise across every flawlessly contoured facet. Intricately carved from a single piece of solid gold, each creation honours the Graff family’s legacy as pioneers of extraordinary and innovative craftsmanship. Francois Graff, Chief Executive Officer, comments: “The Laurence Graff Signature collection has become a true icon of the House – inspired by the facets of our 34

extraordinary diamonds, the design is instantly recognisable, unapologetically bold and deeply rooted in the DNA of Graff. There’s a confidence to the collection that feels both timeless and modern. This campaign is a celebration of that attitude, and of the enduring place the collection holds at the heart of Graff.” Throughout the campaign, the angular, radiant facets of unisex necklaces and pendants, bracelets and bangles, earrings, ear cuffs and rings catch the LA sunlight, with jewellery creations available in sleek gold or illuminated with pavé diamonds. With a striking sense of modernity, one campaign image features new pieces from the Laurence Graff Signature collection with the faceted design reimagined as bold chain links in a statement yellow gold necklace, bracelet and a pair of earrings, with alternative link motifs set with pavé diamonds. Another visual shows the facets transformed into a contemporary pendant with a double chain link, suspended from a delicate yellow gold chain, paired with a triple-layered hoop design expressed across a pair of earrings and an ear cuff,

worn with multiple stacking bangles in different shades of gold. In a further image, Faretta wears a necklace featuring the new-style Laurence Graff Signature chain link, connected by an abundance of fine, looped yellow gold strands while Akbar Shamji wears a refined pendant and ring, their jewels complementing one another through the collection’s shared design codes. The Laurence Graff Signature collection reflects Laurence Graff’s enduring vision for discovering, cutting and polishing the world’s most extraordinary diamonds. Modern yet timeless, the collection celebrates the instinct, bold creativity and artistic precision that continue to define the House today. The new Laurence Graff Signature campaign was shot by renowned photographer Steven Klein on location at the landmark Sheats–Goldstein Residence. Originally designed by John Lautner in the 1960s, it is one of LA’s most famous examples of modernist architecture. The new Laurence Graff Signature campaign will launch across Graff channels on Wednesday 17th June 2026.

“

Infinitely wearable, every creation from the collection invites the wearer to curate a look that is uniquely their own. Designed and crafted to encourage this spirit of personal expression, it offers endless versatility: mixing metals, playing with proportions and layering scintillating pavé diamond pieces to create a look anchored in individuality.” Anne-Eva Geffroy, Design Director

T

his summer, Turtle Bay Resort invites travellers across the Kingdom and wider region to experience a season shaped by long days outdoors, moments of relaxation, and time spent together on The Red Sea. Designed to make the most of the resort’s coastal setting, the seasonal offerings span water sports, recreation, wellness, evening experiences, and dining inspired by Umluj’s mango harvest.

The Summer Table Dining at Turtle Bay Resort this season is shaped by one of Umluj’s most distinctive local ingredients, the regional mango harvest. From Muhammadiah Farm, a family-owned grove of more than 400 mango trees inherited across three generations just beyond the resort, the season’s fruit reaches all the resort’s kitchens through the summer. At Luki Luma, this shows up in a breakfast mango market of freshly cut fruit, mango smoothies, rotating lunch and dinner specials built around mango glazes and Red Sea produce, and a mango tart from the pastry team. A chef’s mango station features varieties including Zabadi, Keitt, Sensation and Alphonso, layered into freshly prepared dessert cups. Across the resort’s other venues, the harvest runs through the wider menus. The Beach Club’s seasonal selection includes chilled gazpacho, watermelon and feta salad, pasta al limone con basilico, and an Umluj mango sorbet and tart, all served against the backdrop of the bay. The Juice Bar offers cooling mango and watermelon granitas, pressed from local produce, with shaved ice, lime, and mint, while H2GO

carries lighter on-the-go drinks and rotating beverage specials. A short drive from the resort, the Umluj Mango Festival runs daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM through the season, bringing together 24 local growers in a wider celebration of the harvest. Days on the Bay Days at Turtle Bay naturally begin on the water. WAMA, Red Sea Global’s watersports brand, offers a selection of paddle and electric watersports, including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, E-SUP and E-Foil. Activities are available daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and can be arranged upon request with a minimum of 12 hours’ notice. Guests looking to enjoy wind-powered watersports can also visit Shura Island, where additional activities are available. Transportation can be arranged separately. For those seeking even more adventure, ADRENA, The Red Sea’s adventure and watersports hub, offers an expanded selection of experiences just a short drive from the resort. On land, the experience continues with a range of wellness and fitness sessions, including mat Pilates, dynamic stretching, sea breeze meditation, Tai Chi/Qi Gong and Fascial Energetics. Personal training, along with adult and children’s swimming lessons, is available throughout the season. Family experiences remain at the heart of the season. Open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the Little Turtles Hub Kids’ Corner welcomes children aged five to twelve, while children under five are welcome with parent or guardian supervision. Activities include arts and crafts, board games, family bingo, movie sessions, and free

play. Families can also come together through beach sports, putting challenges, and culinary activities, including pizza making, cookie decorating, and mocktail workshops on selected days. A Slower Side of Summer For female travellers seeking a more private setting, Laha Beach Ladies Club opens daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a quieter stretch of shoreline within the resort. Managed by a dedicated all-female team, the experience includes exclusive beach access and daily wellness touchpoints in a relaxed and private environment. As the sun sets, the resort takes on a different rhythm, with family movie nights creating relaxed evening moments. Floodlit Tennis and padel are also available, offering a way to spend the later hours outdoors. The resort’s 144 contemporary rooms provide a relaxed coastal base for summer stays, with garden and sea views, as well as connecting and accessible options for families and groups. Located between Umluj and Al Wajh within The Red Sea destination, Turtle Bay Resort sits just 25 minutes by car from Red Sea International Airport, with direct flights from Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and beyond. Guests travelling from Jeddah, Madinah, Yanbu, and other parts of the Kingdom can also reach the resort by road. Upon arrival at The Red Sea Welcome Centre, guests will continue their journey to the resort using the destination’s transportation service.

A Saudi Sanctuary Where Togetherness Comes Naturally Six Senses AMAALA opens between desert cliffs, lagoon waters, and the Red Sea coast

Six Senses AMAALA, opening in mid-July, brings the Six Senses way of life to a second remarkable setting in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, following Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea. The visionary wellness destination of AMAALA spans more than 1,600 square miles of protected Red Sea coastline, fringed by ancient desert peaks on one side and glittering coves that are home to thriving coral reefs on the other. Within this dramatic landscape, the new Six Senses sits between gentle beaches and a mangrove-fringed lagoon, with a striking clifftop mesa rising at its heart. Designed for togetherness, the resort brings people closer. 100 suites and villas and 25 branded residences, inspired by traditional Saudi coastal architecture and hospitality, are woven into the natural terrain to welcome families and groups traveling together. This creates a village-like rhythm of discovery, brought to life through local heritage and storytelling, shared rituals, and nature-led experiences. Whether exploring the abundant marine life or tracing constellations 48

across a clear sky, the unhurried pace is less about what is planned and more about what is shared. Wellbeing flows through the entire guest journey, felt rather than prescribed. From sleep-optimised design and nutrient-rich “Eat With Six Senses” cuisine to the Six Senses Spa with its Longevity Centre, Biohacking Recovery Lounge, Watsu pool and sound dome, every touchpoint supports a deeper sense of balance. Rooted in both ancient wisdom and modern science, it is intuitive, joyful and quietly transformative – and held by the restorative power of sea, sand and sky.

Neil Palmer, COO of Six Senses, said: “At Six Senses, we have always believed that the moments people remember most are rarely the ones they planned. They are the conversations that last longer than expected, the shared meals, the quiet discoveries, and the feeling of having time for one another again. AMAALA has given us an extraordinary ocean front setting to bring that philosophy to life. Here, wellbeing is woven naturally into each day, allowing our guests and our residence owners to slow down, reconnect, and experience the Red Sea in a way that feels deeply human. As our second destination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

following the opening of the magnificent Six Senses Southern Dunes in 2023, Six Senses AMAALA represents a new chapter for the brand, where hospitality and regeneration come together to shape a more meaningful way to travel and live.’’ Wellness Beyond the Treatment Room Wellness is the thread connecting everything at every Six Senses, from how guests eat and sleep to the sand beneath their feet and what they discover at the spa. Six Senses Spa AMAALA is inspired by a hidden desert oasis, sheltered between high sloping walls, with lush vegetation, 49

pools, and waterfalls creating a sense of refuge. Treatment rooms open onto private terraces with lagoon views for signature massages and family pampering. An outdoor Watsu pool invites gentle release through movements guided by an expert. A dedicated sound dome offers calming sensory experiences, while the Longevity Center features cutting-edge science without forgetting the soul, including cryotherapy, PEMF therapy, and personal consultations. Separate male and female thermal areas include saunas, a salt room, and vitality pools. Daily yoga and fitness classes, more intentional multi-day programs, and group retreats round out the wellness journeys.

Dining Designed for Wellbeing and Celebration Dining at Six Senses AMAALA follows the brand’s Eat With Six Senses philosophy, with fresh, nourishing, and made-from-scratch food prepared with natural ingredients. A defining highlight is the resort’s pioneering non-alcoholic beverage program, set to be among the most sophisticated in the region, featuring fermented drinks, botanical infusions, probiotic tonics, and signature mocktails designed for celebration and wellbeing alike. Perched atop the mesa with wide Red Sea views, Soraya restaurant is an evening destination in its own right. The menu celebrates an artful fusion of Japanese precision and

Latin American passion: delicate sushi and citrus-bright ceviche, refined knife work, bold marinades, and powerful flavors. The Red Sea’s daily catch is served in a setting that is theatrical, vibrant, and made for long evenings shared around the table. Joud offers all-day Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine, from nourishing breakfasts to wood-fired pizzas and vibrant mezze dinners. At Beach Shack, the mood is relaxed and the menu knows no borders at tables just steps from the water, whether enjoying grilled seafood, homemade pastas, or refreshing sundowners. Beyond the three restaurants, Bunna coffee roastery, Makhbaz artisan bakery, and the Nafas cooking

school carry Saudi flavor through the resort’s everyday life, adding to a culinary world that is as much about learning and connection as it is about eating. Sustainability Becomes Discovery & Action Six Senses AMAALA is part of a destination committed to operating entirely on renewable energy and is designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification for sustainable building practices. At its heart lies an azure mangrove lagoon, a natural haven unique among AMAALA properties, supporting vital marine ecosystems that protect coastlines and absorb carbon. Wooden boardwalks meander through the mangroves and over the lagoon, which becomes an adventurous classroom for younger guests through the Junior Mangrove Ecologist program. In the Earth Lab, hands-on workshops also invite a deeper engagement with the natural world, from making upcycled art or beeswax wraps to blending essential oils from fresh-picked herbs and flowers. These are also, naturally, the 52

kind of experiences families love to share, and Six Senses AMAALA is designed to bring generations together. For kids, Grow With Six Senses is a concept built around nature-based discovery and conscious play guided by a dedicated team. Beyond the resort, the landscape invites adventures into the desert, and snorkeling and diving among some of the world’s most vivid coral reefs. The Corallium Marine Life Institute houses a state-of-theart ocean research and experience center and the AMAALA Yacht Club brings together a vibrant sailing community.

The resort is a 45 minute drive from AlWajh International Airport, or 20 minutes by seaplane, or two hours from Red Sea International Airport (RSI), where airport concierge and lounge services are available on landing from Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Malé, Milan, and Riyadh, and private jet connections are welcomed from global destinations. It marks the brand’s second resort in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alongside Six Senses Southern Dunes and adds to a burgeoning collection in the region, which includes Six Senses Zighy Bay and Six Senses Shaharut, with Six Senses The Palm, Dubai expected to open later this year.

“

Opening within AMAALA, a new wellness destination on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast, is a rare opportunity. We’ve shaped the experience with intention from the start, guided by one simple idea: that guests leave feeling better than when they arrived. To do this in a place where Saudi hospitality runs through every detail of how we operate is something our whole team feels lucky to be part of. Bryce Seator, General Manager of Six Senses AMAALA

Rosewood Arrives on the Red Sea, Unveiling Its First Coastal Resort in Saudi Arabia Set between the Tabuk mountains and the world’s fourth-largest barrier reef, Rosewood AMAALA is a Saudi riviera of renewal, guided by the restorative rhythm of the Red Sea and enriched with Arabian ritual and artistry.

Rosewood AMAALA opens in Triple Bay, Saudi Arabia’s new wellness destination on the northwestern Red Sea coast, where the Tabuk mountains meet the world’s fourth-largest barrier reef. It marks Rosewood’s arrival on a coastline only now open to travelers, offering access to a remarkable part of the Red Sea that has remained largely unexplored until now. Designed by ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, with interiors by Tristan Auer, the resort spans 40 hectares and features 110 pool villas, a transformative well-being experience at Asaya, and eight restaurants and lounges celebrating the flavors and traditions of Saudi Arabia. “The opening of Rosewood AMAALA marks an important milestone for Rosewood as we introduce our first resort in Saudi Arabia. As we continue expanding into some of the world’s most compelling destinations, we remain committed to creating experiences that celebrate the individuality of each place while fostering authentic connections with local communities and culture. Rosewood AMAALA reflects our philosophy of Relationship Hospitality through Saudi Arabia’s extraordinary heritage, natural beauty and spirit of discovery.” LUCA FINARDI, VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS, EMEA A SAUDI RIVIERA OF RENEWAL At Rosewood AMAALA, the Red Sea sets the rhythm of each day. Mornings begin early and unhurried, with sunrise yoga while the coast is still cool. By midday, Asaya offers quiet renewal, where treatments are guided by skilled touch and artistry becomes part of the practice. As the light softens, guests gather for Sukūn Hour, the resort’s shared pause at day’s end. Here, renewal is woven into the day itself. Across 40 hectares, accommodations at Rosewood AMAALA all look out towards the Red Sea, each designed with a private pool, a sand-lined terrace and seamless indoor-outdoor living. Pavilions are positioned along the Northern Reef and accommodate families, while Suites offer a more intimate retreat for couples. From the One-Bedroom Villas onwards, accommodations include full kitchens, outdoor barbecue areas and dedicated butler service, with private chef experiences available upon request. 62

Family Villas feature multiple terraces and pools, while the Royal Villas offer landscaped courtyards and enhanced privacy. Within Asaya, three exclusive Lodges each feature a private garden and treatment room, designed for immersive well-being stays of five nights or more that combine personalized treatments, dining experiences and tailored wellness programs. Accommodation is available in two settings: Sea View, overlooking the Red Sea from within the resort, and Sea Front, positioned directly along the shoreline for a heightened sense of privacy and connection to the coast. ASAYA: THE ART OF WELL-BEING Asaya takes the form of an artist’s retreat at Rosewood AMAALA, where treatments draw on Saudi healing traditions and the restorative rhythm of the coast. Guests can learn the ancient art of Sadu weaving, calligraphy and the healing powers of sound; the making is the treatment as much as the bodywork that follows. 63

Across 2,100 square meters, Asaya holds six treatment rooms and a double suite, a private hammam, and wet areas for men and women with sauna, steam and experience showers. Two fitness centers are equipped with Technogym Artis, one of them for women alone, alongside studios for yoga and movement. Social House is a private day spa within Asaya, booked by one group for the day, where families stay together and friends mark an occasion in a space of their own. Treatments are delivered by Asaya’s Wellness Artisans, practitioners whose work reads and restores the body through bodywork, facial sculpting, movement and sound. A daily program runs alongside them, from sunrise and aerial yoga to breathwork and ecology walks. A CULINARY EXPRESSION OF PLACE Dining at Rosewood AMAALA is shaped by Saudi Arabia’s culinary traditions and by the influences carried to this coast over centuries of exchange. 64

Escape Diaries

Everything here begins with the Red Sea. It sets the pace of the day, shapes our wellness rituals, inspires the food we cook and the way we receive guests. Together with the warmth of Saudi hospitality, it creates a sense of place that invites guests to slow down, discover, and renew in their own time.” GERALD CHEVASSON, MANAGING DIRECTOR, ROSEWOOD AMAALA

Eight restaurants and lounges each capture the destination differently, guided by seasonality, provenance and craftsmanship. Olea draws on the coastal cultures of Italy, Spain and Greece, with kitchens separated by geography yet united by olive oil. At its entrance, a six-meter olive tree pays homage to the historic trade routes that once carried oil, spice and ideas between the Mediterranean and the Red Sea. Saha brings people together in a series of pavilions arranged like a village gathering place, where progressive Middle Eastern cuisine is served through a menu of shared plates inspired by the region’s rich culinary heritage and craftsmanship. The Grill Bar & Restaurant cooks over wood and charcoal, treating meat, local seafood and vegetables with equal care, before transitioning into a lounge as evening unfolds. Puro Cove Club anchors the shoreline with ceviche’s, crudos and the relaxed rhythm of a day spent by the water. Wadi Library is the cultural heart of the resort, its shelves carrying local literature and its afternoons given to craft. The Pool Lounge brings a social energy to all-day dining beside the resort’s largest pool, sand-bordered with a sloping entry to the water, while the Pool Bar is its quieter counterpart, with personal sunbed service. At Asaya Lounge, conscious cuisine and botanical beverages carry the well-being thread throughout the day. SIGNATURE EXPERIENCES Sukūn is the Arabic word for stillness. Each day as the light turns, Sukūn Hour opens to every guest at the resort, held in a different place each time: Saudi coffee poured at Wadi Library, breathwork beneath the observatory halos at Saha or an intention ritual under the six-meter olive tree at Olea. The hour marks the turn of the day and sets the evening in motion. Dining extends beyond the resort’s restaurants to private tables set throughout the property and on villa terraces, where barbecue kitchens set stages for evenings with a private chef. At the Arabian Apothecary, guests work with local herbs and the healing traditions of the region to make botanical remedies of their own. Movement runs through the resort, with guided routes for runners and AMAALA’s Wellness Route reaching into the destination beyond. 65

Escape Diaries

Younger guests discover a world of their own at Rosewood Explorers, with a dedicated club and pool, and a daily program for ages four to twelve. Children uncover the wonders of AMAALA through reef-inspired activities, environmental storytelling and hands-on experiences rooted in Saudi culture and craft. RESTORATIVE BY DESIGN AMAALA is guided by a vision for regenerative tourism, powered by more than 406,000 solar panels alongside one of the world’s largest battery storage systems, supplying renewable energy day and night. Electric-only vehicles move guests and goods across the destination, while native landscaping and careful water conservation support the environment around them. At Rosewood AMAALA, regeneration is embedded throughout the resort’s design and operations. Renewable energy powers the property, pools are sanitized without chemicals, and Rock Pools are integrated into the sea to allow close engagement with the reef while minimizing impact on the natural environment. Offshore lies one of the world’s richest marine environments, part of the world’s fourth-largest barrier reef, where Red Sea Global has documented the largest coral colony recorded in the Red Sea. Coral conservation runs through Corallium, the destinations Marine Life Institute, bringing together research, conservation and public learning. The commitment extends to the people and the region around it. Saudi associates are recruited and trained across every department, kitchens work with producers in the Kingdom, and the craft practiced at Wadi Library is drawn from makers of the region. FIFA WORLD CUP 2026 by

M aj ed G a rou b

T

he curtain has fallen on what will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the finest FIFA World Cups in history. Its success was no accident; it was the result of outstanding collaboration between FIFA and the three host nations, the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with the United States staging the majority of the tournament’s matches. Together, they delivered an exceptional edition that further cemented the FIFA World Cup as the world’s premier sporting event. On the pitch, FIFA’s decision to expand the tournament to 48 national teams proved visionary. The broader format enriched the competition and showcased football’s growing global competitiveness. The Arab world made a particularly strong impression. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Tunisia, and Algeria all earned their place on football’s biggest stage, while Egypt, inspired by its global icon Mohamed Salah, produced memorable performances. Morocco once again demonstrated its remarkable strength under the leadership of Achraf Hakimi, supported by the outstanding Yassine Bounou, whose continued excellence with Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal reflects the growing stature of Saudi football. Arab football has unquestionably become a force to be reckoned with on the international stage. This tournament may also mark the final World Cup appearances of an extraordinary generation of legends, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Luka Modrić, players who have inspired millions and reshaped modern football over the past two decades. As one remarkable era comes to an end, another is already beginning. Young stars such as Spain’s Lamine Yamal, Norway’s Erling Haaland, England’s Jude Bellingham, and France’s Kylian Mbappé, now the all-time

leading FIFA World Cup goal scorer with 22 goals, represent both the present and the future of the game. I would not be surprised to see Yamal and Mbappé lead their respective nations to the 2030 FIFA World Cup Final, which will be hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco. Morocco, in particular, possesses every ingredient to challenge for a place on the podium. Among the tournament’s many unforgettable moments, the England-France clash will remain one of its defining spectacles, a match that perfectly embodied football at its finest through technical brilliance, tactical sophistication, and relentless passion until the final whistle. It also highlighted the growing international influence of the Saudi Pro League through players such as Ivan Toney of Al Ahli and Theo Hernández of Al Hilal. England deserves congratulations on a thoroughly deserved achievement, while France earned equal admiration for an exceptional performance. Credit must also go to the referees, coaching staffs, supporters, and players whose professionalism and sportsmanship elevated the tournament. Spain’s triumph carried particular significance. Having repeated Saudi Arabia’s historic feat by defeating Argentina, Spain continued its remarkable journey all the way to lifting the World Cup trophy. Their victory reaffirmed confidence in FIFA’s commitment to administering the game with neutrality, integrity, and respect for the rule of law, despite the many allegations surrounding favoritism and the influence of betting markets that inevitably accompany major international competitions. Saudi Arabia also made its presence felt beyond the field. Aramco proudly served as an Official FIFA World

Cup Partner, while the tournament’s closing ceremony featured His Excellency Yasir Al-Rumayyan presenting the Best Young Player Award, a powerful reflection of the Kingdom’s growing global influence in sport through its national companies and the Public Investment Fund, in line with the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030. The tournament also demonstrated football’s extraordinary political and cultural influence. The visible presence of U.S. President Donald Trump throughout the competition underscored the World Cup’s unique ability to capture the attention of political leaders as much as football supporters. Equally inspiring was the passionate support shown by Belgium’s Royal Family for their national team, while Spain’s victory offered a memorable gift to King Felipe VI, the Royal Family, and the Spanish people, witnessed by the Prime Minister, after a magnificent campaign in which Spain conceded only a single goal throughout the tournament. Cape Verde deserves special recognition as the tournament’s true surprise package. Their fearless performances exceeded every expectation and earned the admiration of football fans worldwide. Ultimately, this World Cup was far more than a football tournament. It was a global celebration of sporting excellence, fair competition, respect for the rule of law, cultural unity, the emergence of a new generation of stars, and a fitting farewell to a generation that transformed the beautiful game. Thank you, FIFA. Thank you, President Gianni Infantino, for delivering a World Cup that will be remembered as one of the greatest sporting spectacles in football history.

SCALPELS OF EXCELLENCE: SAUDI SURGEONS MAKING THEIR MARK AND BUILDING A LEGACY ON THE GLOBAL STAGE WRITTEN BY : DR. RAMZI ADDAS

T

hroughout the history of medicine, certain achievements have changed what people believe is medically possible. These breakthroughs are not defined only by new technologies or scientific discoveries, but also by the lives saved through innovation, precision, teamwork, and professional dedication. In recent decades, Saudi Arabia has emerged as an increasingly important contributor to modern medicine. Through major investment in healthcare, the Kingdom has developed expertise in some of the most challenging areas of surgery. From separating conjoined twins to fetal heart surgery, robotic heart transplantation, and remote robotic operations, Saudi surgeons are helping advance surgical care both nationally and internationally. One of Saudi Arabia’s most internationally recognized medical achievements is its conjoined twins separation program. Separating conjoined twins is among the most complex procedures in modern surgery because every case presents unique anatomical challenges. Twins may share the chest, intestines, liver, spine, blood vessels, or other vital structures. Because each pair of twins is anatomically different, surgical teams must develop an individualized treatment plan for every operation. Preparation begins long before the twins enter the operating room. A large multidisciplinary team may include different surgical specialties as well as advanced imaging technologies. Surgeons carefully examine body organs to identify potential difficulties before 74

surgery begins. This extensive preparation demonstrates an important principle of modern surgery: successful operations depend not only on technical skill but also on planning and teamwork. Specialists may spend weeks assessing risks and determining how each stage of an operation should be performed. The actual separation can then require many hours, with different surgical teams working during different stages. Saudi Arabia’s conjoined twins program also has an important humanitarian role. Families from Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas, and other regions have travelled to the Kingdom seeking specialized care for their children. This international dimension demonstrates how medicine can cross geographical, cultural, linguistic, and religious boundaries. The operations represent not only technical achievements but also a commitment to using medical expertise to provide hope to children and their families. Another remarkable example of Saudi surgical expertise extending beyond the Kingdom occurred when a Saudi heart surgeon led a cardiac surgical team at Cleveland Clinic in the United States in performing an extraordinary fetal heart operation. The patient was a fetus at approximately 26 weeks of gestation who had developed a rare, life-threatening tumor affecting the heart. During the procedure, the baby was carefully brought partway out of the womb while still connected to the placenta. This allowed the surgeons to operate on the

tiny beating heart and remove the tumor. After the operation, the fetus was carefully returned to the uterus to continue developing. The baby was subsequently born healthy, marking a remarkable outcome for this highly complex procedure. The groundbreaking operation attracted international attention and showcased the exceptional expertise, precision, and innovation of Saudi surgeons in the field of advanced cardiac surgery. Saudi Arabia has also made significant progress in robotic surgery. At King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, a Saudi surgical team performed the first robotic heart transplant on a 16-year-old patient with end-stage heart failure. This achievement demonstrated more than access to advanced equipment. Robotic technology can provide enhanced visualization and highly controlled movements, but successful surgery still depends on the knowledge, judgment, and technical expertise of the surgical team. Applying robotics to an operation as complicated as heart transplantation, therefore, represented an important development in Saudi surgical capability. Beyond these advances in complex surgical procedures, telesurgery has emerged as a pioneering field within Saudi Arabia’s evolving surgical landscape. In a landmark procedure, a surgical team operating between Riyadh and Jeddah successfully performed a robotic operation remotely, with the surgeon and patient located in different cities within the Kingdom. Advanced communication networks and robotic technology enabled surgical expertise to be delivered across hundreds of kilometers, demonstrating how modern technology can overcome geographical barriers and redefine the traditional boundaries of the operating room. This development has the potential to transform access to specialized healthcare across the Kingdom. Given Saudi Arabia’s vast geographical area, highly specialized surgical expertise is often concentrated in major cities and advanced medical centers. As remote robotic surgery continues to evolve and demonstrate

greater reliability and clinical effectiveness, specialists may increasingly be able to participate in complex procedures for patients in distant locations, extending advanced surgical care beyond geographical boundaries. Despite the importance of technology, the purpose of these achievements remains deeply human. Behind every successful twin separation are children given the possibility of independent lives. At the heart of fetal surgery is a family hoping to save a child before birth and in every heart transplantation is a patient receiving another opportunity for life. Robotics, imaging systems, artificial intelligence, and sophisticated operating rooms are valuable tools, but their success ultimately depends on skilled and compassionate surgeons and healthcare professionals. Looking ahead, these achievements represent far more than milestones in Saudi surgery. They reflect medicine’s enduring mission: to preserve life, relieve suffering, expand access to advanced care, and make the once impossible possible. Building on this remarkable momentum, Saudi surgeons are extending their impact beyond the Kingdom and contributing to the advancement of medicine worldwide. Together, these accomplishments reinforce Saudi Arabia’s growing role in shaping the future of modern surgery. 75

TUDOR Partners with UTMB World Series, Bringing Born to Dare Spirit to Trail Running

T

UDOR has announced a new partnership with the UTMB World Series, becoming an official partner of the global trail running circuit. The collaboration centers on the HOKA UTMB MontBlanc, a 106-mile race around the Mont Blanc massif considered one of the sport’s most iconic and challenging race in the world featuring 10,000 meters of elevation gain, temperature swings from -5°C to 35°C, and a roughly 40% dropout rate. A race where trail runners experience beauty, pain, and daringness.

99

In trail running, time is not only measured in hours, minutes and seconds. It is measured in years of preparation, in meters climbed, in sleepless nights spent running up and down the mountains and memories that remain after the race. The partnership frames the TUDOR watch as a symbol of achievement rather than just a watch. It is a way for runners to commemorate the discipline, preparation, and resilience required to compete at trail running’s highest level, where race invitations must be earned rather than simply purchased. On the trail, it’s all mental; off the trail, that same spirit is found on the wrist of the world’s top trail runners: the spirit of Born to Dare. TUDOR’s “Born to Dare” spirit embodies durability, commitment, and unbreakability, qualities of the athletes that are

mirrored in the UTMB World Series and carried forward in the legacy of those who wear it. A TUDOR marks every step of the trail: every win, every finish, every achievement, and the hardships behind it. It features an all-female cast of 9 to 14 dancers who blend Indian classic dance styles kathak and Bharatanatyam with contemporary movement.

AlUla, said, “We are incredibly proud and moved to see Thikra: A Night of Remembering continue to tour across the globe. A major commission by Wadi AlFann, an upcoming global destination for contemporary art, not only is Thikra a world-first for Saudi Arabia, but it also highlights the invaluable contributions of local talent and craftsmanship from the people of AlUla. Taking inspiration from thousands of years of ancient civilisations, AlUla is once again emerging as a crossroads of cultures. We are delighted to have worked with Akram Khan and Manal AlDowayan to bring this magnificent and epic performance to the world and we look forward to it touring across the US.” Akram Khan, Artistic Director of Akram Khan Company and Choreographer of Thikra, said: “Creating Thikra: Night of Remembering in the vastness of the AlUla landscape was a profound experience, where the dancers and nature became one. Bringing that experience to the stage has been an invitation to rediscover the work in a new way. It feels deeply meaningful that this is the Company’s final touring production; it is a piece that reflects on what we remember, what we leave behind, and how stories continue to live on through others. Manal and I are honoured to continue sharing it with audiences around the world.”

Manal AlDowayan, Wadi AlFann Artist and Visual Director of Thikra, added, “Thikra: A Night of Remembering is about the power of memory, women’s stories, and the strength of community. Inspired by AlUla’s landscape, history, and its community, I designed the scenography and costumes using natural pigments and traditional crafts, working in collaboration with crafters from Madrasat Addeera, AlUla’s art and design centre, incorporating symbols that reflect the layering of time and traditions that can still be found in AlUla. Collaborating with Akram Khan, the process was one of true exchange, shaping every visual element alongside the movement. As we take this performance around the world, I hope it resonates with different audiences, creating a sense of connection—between people, places, and the stories that shape us. Remembering is an act of strength, and this piece is a celebration of that.” Telling the story of AlUla across the globe, Thikra has been adapted by Akram Khan Company and AlDowayan as an indoor performance to tour internationally across the globe. The Red Palace Unveils Visual Identity, Marking the First Chapter in Its Story Ahead of Opening

B

outique Group, the hospitality company fully owned by the Public Investment Fund, has announced the unveiling of The Red Palace’s visual identity, introducing the first chapter of its story to the world ahead of its highly anticipated opening. Rooted in the palace’s royal heritage, the identity is more than a brand mark: it is an early expression of the values, craftsmanship and cultural legacy that will come to define the future guest experience. Drawing directly from the palace’s authentic architecture and historic character, the identity translates the building’s design language into a visual system that speaks to its origins. Every element, from its form to its detailing, has been developed to reflect the craftsmanship embedded in The Red Palace itself, offering a first glimpse of the sensibility guests can expect once its doors open. “This identity is the first chapter of a story we have long been entrusted to tell,” said Sami Alogla, Head of Marketing and Brand at Boutique Group “It draws from the palace’s own history and architecture, and carries forward the responsibility we feel in preserving this heritage while introducing it to the world.” The identity has been developed as a considered translation of the palace itself, with each of its elements tied to a feature physically present within its walls. At its center sits the rose,

one of The Red Palace’s defining architectural symbols, reimagined from a carved rosette found within the palace’s original plasterwork and reintroduced as the emblem’s focal point. This is set within a diamond form, drawn from the geometry of the palace’s façade and selected for the balance and symmetry it brings to the design, its inner structure echoing the diamond motifs found throughout the building. The identity’s linear patterns take their reference from the lines, angles and proportions observed across the palace’s architecture, from its ornamental ironwork to the geometry of its interiors, distilled into a clear and refined visual language, while a further layer of the mark draws on a national symbol long associated with The Red Palace, offering a quiet acknowledgment of the building’s place within the Kingdom’s wider history. Together, these elements have been assembled not as ornamentation, but as a deliberate expression of the palace’s heritage, ensuring the identity carries its history forward rather than introducing a new and unrelated visual language. The unveiling marks an important milestone in the palace’s transformation into an ultra-luxury destination, setting the stage for The Red Palace’s opening later this year and reaffirming Boutique Group’s commitment to preserving and reimagining Saudi Arabia’s royal heritage for a global audience.

STANDARD CHARTERED: “SAUDI BUSINESS ACTIVITY SET FOR STRONGER MOMENTUM IN Q3 2026” Latest economic analysis points to stronger business momentum, with resilient consumer spending and continued investment expected to underpin the shift in the third quarter.

Standard Chartered global research today published its latest economic analysis, forecasting stronger momentum in Saudi Arabia’s business activity during the third quarter of 2026, supported by resilient domestic demand, improving regional trade conditions and the Kingdom’s ongoing economic diversification. Saudi Arabia entered the second half of the year with resilient underlying economic activity despite heightened regional uncertainty. This is evident in point-of-sale transactions, which increased 6% year on year in May, returning to January 2026 levels. Global Research analysis identifies resilient consumer demand as a key driver of business activity, with improving external demand expected to provide additional support as regional trade conditions continue to improve.

“

Mazen Bunyan, Chief Executive Officer and Head of Coverage, Saudi Arabia, Standard Chartered, said: “Saudi Arabia’s economy has continued to demonstrate resilience through a period of heightened regional uncertainty, reflecting the strength of domestic demand and the progress of the Kingdom’s diversification agenda. As regional conditions continue to improve, we expect this resilience to translate into stronger business momentum, creating further opportunities for investment and private sector growth during the second half of the year.”

Standard Chartered expects the economy to gain momentum during the third quarter of the year, supported by three key drivers: continued investment as an engine of economic activity, easing inflationary pressures that should support household purchasing power and business confidence, and an improving labour market that is expected to reinforce domestic demand. Regional trade dynamics are also improving. The partial reopening of the Strait of Hormuz has supported a near full recovery in Saudi Arabia’s oil exports. This is expected to provide additional support for Saudi Arabia’s trade and broader economic activity during the second half of the year. The combination of resilient domestic demand, continued investment and improving regional conditions is expected to support stronger business momentum through the third quarter, reinforcing Saudi Arabia’s progress in economic diversification and its position as a leading growth market.
