www.aotnz.co.nz

The Orange Box is a visually captivating story featuring handmade puppets, mesmerizing juggling, and enchanting circus artistry. Blending diverse puppetry styles with different types of juggling, the story follows a paper puppet stuck in the routine of a packaging office. Beyond entertainment, the show carries a deeper message, inviting us to step outside the box, where true magic unfolds. Join this one-of-a-kind adventure that transcends the ordinary and opens the door to the extraordinary. On 21 Sunday September, 2–3 pm, at the Athenaeum Hall. celebrating jane foster’s retirement

After an incredible 37 years of dedication, Jane Foster has decided it’s time to hang up her jacket and retire from Arrowtown Preschool. We invite you to join us in celebrating her outstanding contribution at a special gathering, Saturday 27th September at the Arrowtown Rugby Community Rooms, from 3pm, BYO drinks, BBQ provided. Back in April, Jane was rightfully honoured with the 2025 Arrowtown Autumn Festival Unsung Hero Award, a testament to her tireless commitment and passion. Since beginning her journey in 1988, when her first child was just one year old, Jane has played an extraordinary role in shaping Arrowtown Preschool. What started as a small playcentre with just 17 children has grown under her leadership into two thriving centres, now supporting up to 80 enrolments. With countless hours in a voluntary capacity — whether it’s fundraising, mowing the lawns on the weekend, attending new parent evenings, or participating in board meetings, Jane is always there. Jane’s unrelenting energy, love for children, and willingness to embrace every challenge have left an unforgettable mark on Arrowtown Preschool. She often says it was the children who kept her young and grounded throughout her remarkable journey. Now, as she steps into retirement, Jane is looking forward to enjoying more time with her grandchildren, tackling a few projects at home, getting back on her bike, and exploring the world through travel. Please join us in celebrating Jane’s outstanding contribution and wishing her the very best for this exciting new chapter.
