Despite shocking playoff upset, Longview remains true to school

ALLAS — It was a blustery cold night at Kincaide Stadium, as the Longview Lobos were defeated in a shocking defeat to Dallas Jesuit, snapping a 27-game winning streak and ending their season 11-1. But in the bleachers, Lobo Nation remained faithful. A tearful third-grader Corey Williams was heartbroken, and yet steadfast in his belief that “the Lobos will be back!” “I hate it when the Lobos lose, and I wanted to win State again,” he said. “I think we can win it next year and the year after.
