LOBO BLOCKBUSTER Student film earns second place in State
L
oboView Films has made a blockbuster of a film! In addition to their awards from the film festival at the end of February, the film “Shadow Walkers” earned them the second place prize in State in March! “I think it’s fair to say the LoboView Film students are beyond thrilled with the results. It shows tangible improvement too,” said the Lobo UIL film coach Joshua Graves. “Back-toback State finals is an excellent accomplishment in itself, but to also know that our film program is now number 2 in the state really gives the kids a goal to work towards for next year.” Due to the global pandemic, the students had to work around the struggles of remote learning as well as students getting sick. But after a 10-hour shoot and editing over the course of
a month and a half, the students pulled it off. For the second year in a row, the Longview High School film program was ranked in the top six in the state and was the only school in Division II Narrative Film to repeat from 2020. “As their sponsor and coach, I have never been more proud of a group of students.
