Holidays bring a host of local activities and celebrations It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around town and Longview ISD is no exception, as the pinnacle of the holiday season will soon be here. As your student will likely be participating in various seasonal activities, please keep in touch with your campus and Longview ISD for more information about upcoming events. You can check our Coming Events section (see Page 3) or follow us on your preferred social media platform. You can find us on Facebook or Twitter by searching for “Longview ISD.” One of the first events coming up will be the annual Longview Christmas Parade set for Dec. 6th in downtown Longview. The official start time is 6:30 p.m. but you’ll want to get there early since parking fills up rather quickly downtown. The parade route runs
along Whaley and Methvin streets around the Gregg County Courthouse. December will feature a number of Christmas programs and concerts at our various elementary and middle school campuses, as well as holiday musical events at the Melton Center on the Longview High School campus. For more information about these festivities, please call the campuses directly. Christmas break begins Dec. 22nd and lasts through Jan. 6, 2019. During this time all district offices will be closed. From all of our at Longview ISD, please have a safe and blessed holiday season. We look forward to another fantastic year at “the best school district east of Interstate 45!”
