News the local
Dear Readers
10 years old this month! We really cannot believe it but are thrilled that we have made it this far through thick and thin. We have seen many of our advertisers’ businesses blossom over the years and become friends too. We are grateful to all our advertisers, Scarbutt Printers who ensure we produce a quality free publication and our faithful distributors who walk the streets every month without fail come rain or shine.
We have made some major changes over the years and more recently introduced our all singing and dancing website which goes from strength to strength. The latest edition can be found online each month www.thelocaloracle.co.uk. Anna & Jane

Celebrating 10 years! In February 2004 we produced our first edition of the local Oracle! Made up of 47 adverts including friends and family, we delivered the black and white 8 page booklet to Kings Hill. Ten years later and we have three editions and a bank of distributors delivering over 39,500 copies each month. Over 3 million copies have been distributed over the ten years! We have had great support over the years and are thrilled that we have a few advertisers who joined us within our first few months of starting out and remain with us still today! These include: • All Clean Windows • All Seasons Fencing • Chiropody & Podiatry Clinic • Jeff Smith Domestic Appliance Repairs • J H Flint Consultancy (Computer Support) • John Green Décor Ltd • Oven Angels • The Oddjobs Company (SE) Ltd This month we are featuring John Green Décor Ltd
John Green Décor Ltd are a specialist team of local, highly experienced painters and decorators, undertaking both residential and commercial properties. We have been in business since 1999 and are Dulux Select Decorators and Trust Mark approved. We carry out all aspects of painting and decorating including wallpapering, paint effects, and specialist spray finishes, plus we also undertake plastering and small refurbishment projects. We offer a free consultation service and written quotations for all projects. Our websites show a small sample of some of the work we have proudly completed www.johngreendecor.co.uk and www.specialistwallpaperhangers.co.uk.
We have advertised in the local Oracle for 10 years and it continues to be one of our most successful sources of advertising generating not just phone calls and requests for estimates but conversions to actual bookings as well. We have a new website and will be expanding this over the coming months. If you have any useful articles, information that can be included, do email to us info@thelocaloracle.co.uk We would like to thank everyone who has been part of our journey so far.
