The dreams of children around the world are now growing into the dreams of young adults, as the generation that grew up with Harry Potter heads to college. Universities across the country are claiming to have the Hogwarts “feel.” The truth is they’ve all got a little bit to offer.

University of Chicago Mount Holyoke College In each book there is a sense of Homecoming as Harry returns to Hogwarts each year. Students at this women’s college in Massachusetts come home to Hogwarts every day through the Field Memorial Gate.

The bell tower looks over the campus, located in an old town outside of Boston.

University of Washington The Study room in the Suzzalo library is widely known as the “Harry Potter Room.” The ceiling arches high over rows of reading desks, graced by antique lanterns, reminiscent of the Great Hall of Hogwarts, home to sorting ceremonies and magical feasts .

THe University of Chicago consistantly makes the list of colleges compiled by Harry Potter fantatics. It’s easy to see why, from the gargoyles topping the roofs to the narrow corridors through old architechture, This college is a destination for those whose Hogwarts letter got lost in the mail.
