Halloween is such a special time here in RiverTown. That is, of course, if we can get past the HOA stipulations and put up our decorations in September.
Admittedly, Halloween has always been my wife's favorite holiday and my least favorite. It pains me to admit the holiday has grown on me since moving here. The amount of community involvement, the amazing decor, the fall festival, and the night of Halloween itself truly make RT an amazing place to call home during this season.

Ingredients:
1cupall-purpose flour
2Tbspbrown sugar
1tspbaking powder
½tspbaking soda
¼tspsalt
1tsppumpkinpie spice)
¾cuppumpkin purée
¾cupmilk
1largeegg
2Tbspmelted butter
1tspvanilla extract
½cupchopped pecans,lightly toasted
Instructions:
Mixdryingredients:Inalargebowl, whiskflour,brownsugar,baking powder,bakingsoda,salt,andpumpkin spice.
Combinewetingredients:Inasecond bowl,whiskpumpkinpurée,milk,egg, meltedbutter,andvanillauntilsmooth.
Bringtogether:Gentlyfoldwet ingredientsintodryuntiljustcombined. Stirinpecans.
Cook:Heatagreasedskilletorgriddle overmediumheat.Pour¼cupbatterfor eachpancake.Cookuntilbubblesform onthesurface,flip,andcontinue cookinguntilgoldenbrown.
Serve:Stackwarmwithbutter,maple syrup,andanextrasprinkleofpecanson top

I love RiverTown because...
I have so many amazing friends. Everything is here in Rivertown for me to enjoy, the Basketball Courts, the playgrounds and the pools. And there is alot of lakes for fishing. And the best part is my school is now in the neighborhood and I can ride everyday with my friends! I also like the rooster that lives in Rivertown (Rocky!)
