For its 6th convening, the School of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences’ Program Advisory Council assembled on-campus on February 3, 2023, at the PGN Case Room The assembly was attended by the SNAMS administration led by Assoc Prof Precious Jean M Marquez It was also graced by the SNAMS faculty, representatives from partner institutions and selected SNAMS students

Angelica Torres, holding the torch first and passing it onto the respective chairpersons from each of the competing schools The cauldron was lit by SBA Senator Aldrian Simbulan and Sports & ESports

Cluster Head and SAS Senator Jowan Ethan Fausto Simbulan also led the oath-taking of the participants vowing for a friendly and healthy competition Lastly, the USC President, Mr Erron Hernandez officially opened the Sports and E-Sports Competitions for the University Days 2023 with his concluding message

The University Days 2023 was celebrated from March 8 to 11 with the theme, "LUID! The 90 Years of Angelites' Transcendence " The event coincided with the ninth decade of the founding of Holy Angel University

SNAMS holds academic recognition for the 1st semester of AY 2022-2023

On February 28, 2023, at the University Theater, the School of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences (SNAMS) recognized its Dean’s and President’s listers for the first semester of the current academic year. Present in the ceremony were the honor students, their proud parents and guardians, the SNAMS faculty and the SNAMS administration led by Assoc Prof Precious Jean M Marquez The OIC-VP for Academic Affairs, Prof Al D Biag, also graced the said event

The program started with a processional of the honor students and their guardians First year to fourth year student awardees of the Nursing, Radiologic Technology, and Medical Technology departments assembled at the Plaza San Jose and marched going to the University Theater The program started with an opening remark from the Dean which was immediately followed by the awarding of certificates to the listers

The Department Chairpersons, Asst Prof Noriel Calaguas for Nursing, Asst Prof John Mark De Vera for Radiologic Technology, and Asst Prof Jai Anthony Cuevas for Medical Technology, together

The convening started with a welcoming remark delivered by Dean Marquez She emphasized, in her opening statements, the purpose of the PAC and its importance in strengthening the different programs offered by the school After a meaningful opener, Graduate Programs Coordinator, Dr Carlo Bryan C Borrico led the presentation of the VMGOs and core values of the graduate school Similarly, Asst Prof Jai Anthony F Cuevas, Medical Technology Chairperson introduced the undergraduate VMGOs of SNAMS.

After the recap of the VMGOs, Asst Prof Noriel P Calaguas, Nursing Chairperson, introduced Dr Michael Sy, the esteemed speaker invited to have a talk during the plenary session of the PAC Dr Sy, in his very insightful talk, discussed interprofessional education (IPE) and interprofessional collaboration (IPC) He highlighted how these ideas promote a two-way exchange of knowledge which when considered, can be game-changing in molding future healthcare professionals.

Following Dr Sy’s meaningful talk, the PAC had a breakout session per department The department chairs mediated the sessions, and they presented their accomplishments and plans in their respective programs Insights and concerns of the faculty and partner institutions as well as of the students were also raised in the sessions The 6th convening of the Program Advisory Council of the SNAMS is its first face-to-face assembly after three years following the pandemic with the SNAMS Dean and the OIC-VP for Academic Affairs, congratulated the awardees and their guardians as they received their certificates of recognition on stage The students and guardians, beaming with pride, smiled on stage, owning their successful moment as they get recognized face-to-face after two years To conclude the event, Ms Anjenette P Gueco, a 4th year Radiologic Technology student, delivered an inspirational speech as the student garnering the highest general weighted average (GWA) in SNAMS for the first semester In total, 293 SNAMS students qualified for the Dean’s and President’s lister for the first semester of the academic year

Fr Mark Anthony Torrecarion, the University Chaplain, at the Chapel of the Holy Guardian Angels This was immediately followed by the testimonial dinner proper at the STL building
