usiness agility with technoadvancement investments sometimes couldn’t take advantage of new market amendments or respond to competitive pressures as resources, the capital, or time may not be available in the measure needed to react. But available on fingertips, Cloud Services overcome these barriers, allowing businesses to continually adapt their technology needs to their business with minimal costs. Additionally, this adoption has been fueled mainly by the ever-increasing number of smartphones and mobile devices that can access the internet, making Cloud Computing as a 21st-century marvel that holds its importance in almost every field we can think of. In this issue, The Leaders Globe Media Magazine covers “The 10 Groundbreaking Leaders in Cloud Industry”. These are innovations based Cloud Services Providers help to integrate cloud computing into more specific industrial activities which will make various operations even more streamlined. These providers are helping businesses to gain a strategic edge in their niche to increase productivity, as well as acquire and manage underlying cloud infrastructure hence enabling businesses to focus their energies on their core business operations

with increasing efficiency, accessibility, scalability, security and cost savings. Apart from these, basic benefits adapting cloud technologies help businesses with automatic software updates where all the software applications that are accessed through the cloud are usually up-to-date. This endows businesses to access the latest features without maintaining the system themselves. Also, helps in competitiveness, businesses that employ cloud computing are able to maneuver more nimbly as compared to their competitors who devote their energies to acquiring and maintaining IT resources. Additionally, helps to increase collaboration where individuals from different places can collaborate in business projects without necessarily having to meet. Cloud Computing is not just limited for businesses and organizations, it is also helping an average person by enabling us to run software programs without installing them on our computers, to store and access our multimedia content via the internet, and to develop and test programs without necessarily having servers and so on. Thus, we are increasingly reliant on cloud based storage solutions and almost everything in the digital world is connected to the cloud in some way or another making cloud computing a more and more integral part of

The Sovereigns of Cloud Computing Era

W

ith Cloud Computing, we are experiencing the most flamboyant technological evolution in the field of technology and it brings to light the fastest adoption than any other technology in the domain. The benefits of cloud computing are well-versed; businesses are able to simplify provision and de-provision resources on-demand, more easily serve users in new geographies and operate more cost-effectively than on-premises. Because of this, migrating data and applications has become a question of “when” and not “if”. And for all entrepreneurs and developers in the technology business, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is not something new. It has been a godsend in creating value for all, undoubtedly Amazon Web Services ruling this world of cloud technology.

Incredible Evolution of Cloud Computing Nowadays, we feel like Cloud industry emerged out of thin air, seemingly overnight. But, Amazon Web Services (AWS) which is a pioneering, leveraging, dynamic, and growing business unit within Amazon.com has emerged from separate internal initiatives at Amazon over 17 years ago to help developers as well as to improve the efficiency of the company’s own infrastructure. The roots of AWS as a developer tool can be

drawn since 2002 when an initial beta was released called ‘Amazon.com’. Web Service offering SOAP and XML interfaces for the Amazon product catalogue. This turnkey initiative for developers was the first step by Amazon for adopting the potential of developerfriendly tools, particularly in infrastructure space, as an actual product. From there, a grander idea emerged: An amalgamation of infrastructure services and developer tools as a pseudo-operating system for the internet. By isolating different parts of the infrastructure like storage, compute power, and database as components to the operating system and having developer-friendly tools to manage them, it was possible to recognize infrastructure as automated and standardized with web services. Publicly launched on March 19, 2006, AWS offered Simple Storage Service (S3) and Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), with Simple Queue Service (SQS) following soon after. By 2009, S3 and EC2 were launched in Europe, the Elastic Block Store (EBS) was made public, and a powerful content delivery network (CDN), Amazon CloudFront, all became formal parts of AWS offering. These services are developerfriendly and also attract businesses ready to adapt cloud technology and set the table for formalized partnerships with data-driven enterprises such as Dropbox, Netflix, and Reddit, all before 2010.

The Most Extensive, Reliable, and Secure Global Cloud Infrastructure

Rami Rahim CEO | Juniper Networks

Pioneer and Virtuoso of AWS We’re in the middle of the biggest technology revolution in history. AWS, the pioneer in cloud computing, has radically disrupted the global business landscape and the customer experience. But, AWS wasn’t any single minded idea, the idea grew organically out of the company’s initiative to enhance its ability to launch new projects and support customers. A Harvard MBA, Andrew R. Jassy has started focusing on delivering better experiences internally and for merchant partners, and the concept of AWS was sort of stumbled upon while seeking to solve a recurring need, namely faster technology deployment. This trend has manifested as an entirely new and game-changing approach to technology development, which involved decoupling services, Jassy had pulled up the rug on Amazon’s development process and discovered internally scalable, reliable infrastructure services. Tech veteran Andrew R. Jassy spearheaded and now leads the Amazon Web Services business. Andrew R. Jassy, CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS), has joined Amazon in 1997 and leading AWS since its inception. He is managing an inventive and nimble team that has delivered more than 90 cloud infrastructure and application services that are used by millions of startup, enterprise, and government customers around the world. Prior to founding AWS, he held various leadership roles across the company.

Leading the World with Groundbreaking Cloud Computing Services As a world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, AWS offers over 165 fully featured services from data centers around the world. Including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises,

and leading government agencies, zillions of businesses are using AWS to lower costs, become more agile, and innovate faster. AWS offers a comprehensive set of global cloud-based products including compute, databases, storage, networking, analytics, mobile, developer tools, management tools, IoT, security and enterprise applications. These services help organizations for swift, cost effective, sclable agility. AWS is trusted by the largest enterprises and the hottest startups to power a wide variety of workloads including web and mobile applications, game development, data processing, and warehousing, storage, archive, and many others. Cloud computing has been so successful that it’s increased the pace of technology innovation, the rate of technology adoption, and the volume of data in the world by many folds. AWS now goes toe to toe with oldguard technology every day on capabilities, services, costs, and benefits. It’s been radically disruptive to everything about business and the customer experience. Foremost Functionality AWS has significantly more services, and more features within those services, than any other cloud provider–from infrastructure technologies like compute, storage, and databases–to emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, data lakes & analytics, and Internet of Things. This makes it faster, easier, and more cost effective to move existing applications to the cloud and build nearly anything which can be imagined. AWS also has the deepest functionality within those services. For example, AWS offers the widest variety of databases that are purpose-built for different types of applications so organizations can choose the right tool for the job to get the best cost and performance.

Predominant Security AWS is architected to be the most exible and secure cloud computing environment available today. Its core infrastructure built to satisfy the security requirements for the military, global banks, and other high-sensitivity organizations. This is backed by a deep set of cloud security tools, with 230 security, compliance, and governance services and features. AWS supports 90 security standards and compliance certiďŹ cations, and all 117 AWS services that store customer data offer the ability to encrypt that data. Swift Pace of Innovation With AWS, organizations leverage the latest technologies to experiment and innovate more quickly. The company continually accelerating its pace of innovation to invent entirely new technologies to transform business. Likewise, in 2014, AWS pioneered the serverless computing space with the launch of AWS Lambda, which lets developers run their code without provisioning or managing servers. And AWS built Amazon SageMaker, a fully managed machine learning service that empowers everyday developers and scientists to use machine learning–without any previous experience. Proven Operational Expertise AWS has unmatched experience, maturity, reliability, security, and performance that any organization can depend upon for most important applications. For over 13 years, AWS has been delivering cloud services to millions of customers around the world running a wide variety of use cases. AWS has the most operational experience, at greater scale, of any cloud provider.

Leading the Largest Community of Customers & Partners With millions of active customers and tens of thousands of partners globally, AWS has the largest and most dynamic community. Virtually every industry and of every size, including public sector organizations, startups, and enterprises are running every imaginable use case on AWS. The AWS Partner Network (APN) includes thousands of systems integrators who specialize in AWS services and tens of thousands of independent software vendors (ISVs) who adapt their technology to work on AWS.

The Future of the Cloud In this fast techno-pace world, the vast majority of workloads will go to the cloud. We’re just at the beginning — there’s so much more to happen, especially in the

mobile space, implies Andrew R. Jassy, he adds, “Most people believe mobile devices will one day become the primary computing shell. The smaller the device, the more the cloud is needed.” According to Andrew R. Jassy, the pace of innovation at AWS continues to run very high. And, alluding to the natural tendency for Amazon culture to get excited about new capabilities he explained a list of upcoming AWS services, “Elastic Compute Cloud, Elastic Map Reduce, S3 which stores trillions of objects, Dynamo DB — a very fast, high throughput, low latency, non-relational database, RDS Service, Mobile Push Notification — demand for these services just keeps accelerating. We’re waiting for it to attenuate and it just hasn’t yet ”

Zscaler: Forerunners Of Cloudbased Enterprise Security

No matter where you are now in your journey, the transformation has begun, and it’s enabled by Zscaler

Jay Chaudhry CEO & Founder

A

t the moment, many organizations are acclimatizing cloud-based platforms allowing these organizations to quickly adapt to the global transition to a digital economy. The knack to adopt new applications, quickly expedite resources, respond in real-time to end-user and consumer demands allows organizations to compete effectively in today’s digital marketplace. The result has been flabbergasting. In a few years, approximately 80% of enterprises have adopted two or more public cloud infrastructure providers, and nearly two-thirds are using three or more. And gone are the days when businesses were all on the network and applications resided in physical data centers, it made sense to establish a secure periphery around the network. But now, the periphery is gone, and network security is all but irrelevant. Instead, its a necessitate putting defenses and controls on the internet so that

every connection is fast and secure, no matter how or where users connect or where their applications reside.“Change may be a constant, but the transformation is a mission and we are on a mission to make the internet your new secure corporate network.”- emphasized by Jay Chaudhry CEO, Chairman, and Founder of Zscaler, global security cloud for distributed and mobile enterprises enabling the world’s leading organizations to securely transform their networks and applications for a mobile and cloud-first world. Jay Chaudhry has a history of introducing visionary innovations to market that address the demand for securely enabling emerging technology trends. His considerable work in the security technology sector has made him a trusted advisor for many enterprise CIOs and CISOs.

He has been leveraging more than 25 years of security industry expertise, including engineering, sales, marketing and management experience with leading organizations, such as IBM, NCR, and Unisys. Prior to founding Zscaler in 2008, he founded and led AirDefense (Motorola), CipherTrust (Secure Computing), CoreHarbor (USi/AT&T). Jay founded and led his first company, SecureIT, the first pure-play Internet security service, in 1996, before it was acquired by VeriSign in 1998.

secure access to any destination—the open internet, apps and services in the cloud, and internal apps in the data center and public and private clouds. Zscaler’s position also makes a critical integration point for a range of services. It complements and interoperates with key technology vendors across major market segments, including SD-WAN, identity, and access management, device and endpoint management, as well as SIEM for reporting and analytics.

Re-engineering Enterprise Cloud Security

The global security ‘ Zscaler Cloud Architecture’

Today, the internet is a security perimeter behind the corporate network and the only way to provide comprehensive protection for users, no matter where users connect, it can be done by moving security and access controls to the cloud. With tens of thousands of new phishing sites arriving every day, appliances can’t keep up but the Zscaler cloud is always up to date with the latest security updates to keep everything protected from rapidly evolving malware. Zscaler minimizes costs and eliminates the complexity of patching, updating, and maintaining hardware and software. Zscaler security controls are built into a unified platform, so they communicate with each other to give a cohesive picture of all the traffic that’s moving across the network. Through a single interface, an organization can gain insight into every request — by the user, location, and device around the world — in seconds.

3 –Elemental Zscaler Platform Designed for resiliency, redundancy, and fast performance, the three-tiered Zscaler platform modules comprise the control plane (Zscaler Central Authority), the data plane (Zscaler Enforcement Nodes), and the logging and statistics plane(Zscaler Nanolog Servers). The Zscaler platform because of its position between every user and the internet, provides

Zscaler security as a service is delivered by a next-generation security architecture built from the ground up for performance and scalability. It is distributed across more than 100 data centers on 6 continents, which means that users are always a short hop to their applications and Zscaler peers with hundreds of partners in major internet exchanges around the world for performance and reliability. Zscaler SSL Inspection Zscaler’s security-as-a-service enables full SSL inspection to stop more threats where they hide. The Zscaler Cloud Security platform enables “man-in-the-middle” SSL inspection at scale, without latency and capacity limitations. By pairing SSL inspection with Zscaler’s complete security stack as a cloud service, gets improved protection without the inspection limitation of appliances. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) The goal of GDPR is to strengthen and unify data protection by clearly defining the responsibilities of data controllers and data processors. Zscaler helps to successfully comply with GDPR requirements through a strong partnership between Zscaler (data processor) and an organization (data controller).

Leader’s Perspective What is Disruptive Innovation - Know Your Core

W

hat is disruptive innovation? Let's just throw a bunch of stuff on the wall to see what sticks. I'm sure you've heard that before. While that may be the go-to strategy for innovation for a lot of organizations it rarely works. When you employ the let's see what sticks strategy you do the following. You stretch your resources too thin. Instead of having any focus or guardrails, you have people, resources, and ideas going in every direction. The lack of a foundation to innovate off of leads to ideas that either aren't plausible or aren't relevant to your business. The most frustrating outcome of this approach is constant failure. Ideas, even the ones that seem to stick, don't tend to work. That gets mistaken with the feeling that all your innovation efforts are failures. The smarter way to innovate is to ďŹ rst know your core. What's the one foundational element that the house of your business is built on? Let me share some examples. Amazon: So what is at their core? Do they sell books? Do they stream videos?

Tamara Ghandour

Yeah they do all that. But at their core, the foundation of their success is crazygood distribution systems. I mean how did my rice cooker get here in two days? It's amazing! I'm gonna continue on with Amazon and why this is so important. But before I do that take a moment and pause this video. Draw a circle in the center of a blank page and write in it what's in your core. I'll wait... All right good. Now don't be surprised if you change it after giving it more thought. So let's go back to Amazon. Most of you have seen the news that Amazon bought Whole Foods for you know bucket loads of money. What I found fascinating were the comments that started streaming in on the reporting of this purchase. Comments like: Why would Amazon want to get into the food business? What does Amazon know about all natural foods? Why would Amazon go from online to retail when everyone else is going in the other direction? Haters, I'd like to suggest that those comments aren't taking to account what's at the core of Amazon's business crazy-good distribution systems. And what's on the rise - food delivery. Uber is doing it, I use Instacart twice a

week. When you know your core, you know where, how and why you innovate. Amazon getting into the food distribution business is not only innovative and it's gonna change the food game, but smart you know what they know how to do. Amazon's recent move into food teaches us that innovating against your core is much smarter than let's see what sticks. Here's the thing. You fall back to the see what sticks method because you don't actually have clarity around your core. You may think you do but I've seen it time and time again. When we're hired for innovation work with our clients, we have to take a step back and identify the core, then the innovation ows. When you know your core you can actually stretch yourself further. Knowing your core doesn't handcuff you to incremental ideas. It's a springboard for big bold ideas. Let's take Under Armor. So most of us know them for their clothing. But did you know they also got into the community space with their Under Armour Connected? Which has more than 125 million users. That's because their core isn't fabric, it's making athletes better. With that at their core they're doing some seriously innovative things. Leaders in their ďŹ eld.

‘Multicloud’ An Obligatory Future of Businesses

Editor’s Pick

T

oday, for any businesses to stay ahead of the demands of digital transformation, including faster access to emerging technologies, ondemand capacity and for unlimited scalability, flexibility, reliability, adoption of multicloud strategy is exigency. A growing number of enterprises already use more than one cloud provider and over 30% of them use upwards of four. It is believed that by the end of the decade nearly all enterprises will have adopted a multicloud strategy of some kind, as it gives them greater flexibility and even more potential for rapid innovation and deployment. Multiple clouds makes businesses more scalable and agile, allows for the adoption of best-of-breed technologies, and provides far better disaster recovery, it can also improve data-loss resilience, make it easier to exploit pricing programs and consumption, help companies comply with data independency and geopolitical barriers, and enable organizations to deliver the best available infrastructure, platform, and software services.

Endow with Robust Security Security is a top concern for businesses across every industry, and rightly so. Hackers can range from individuals to competitors to governments and if companies’ all valuable data is in one basket, a malicious attack can have disastrous consequences for business, even halting operations permanently. When it comes to mitigating risk, multi-cloud solutions spread out a safety net in the event of a DDoS or another type of attack. If one of the cloud services fails, it’s easy to turn to one of the other providers and reduce the amount of damage done in as short a time as possible.

Ensuring Optimization of Solution It might be easy to assume that cloud environments are all the same, which may be true on the surface. However, public cloud environments like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform are built with specific purposes in mind. While a majority of their services cover basic tasks and solutions that any cloud provider will offer, many are tailor-made to focus on specific verticals or processes. Microsoft Azure, for example, highlights several platform-as-aservice (PaaS) offerings, making it an ideal choice for program and application developers.

infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-aservice (PaaS), and software-as-a-service (SaaS) in a single heterogeneous architecture offers the ability to reduce dependence on any single vendor, it’s become easier for companies to move data between cloud environments. Thus, operating multiple cloud deployments extends organizational ability to build, run, and maintain projects in the cloud.

Efficient Costing As public cloud vendors operate on a pay-asyou-use pricing model, a company will only pay for the cloud services they use, not an allinclusive package. Thus, it’s easy for enterprises to pick and choose which offerings they want to use from each vendor. Though maintaining cost management for multicloud deployments is still important. However, some of the tasks, like data storage, computing, and app development are supported by multiple cloud providers. If a company needs or wants a cloud-based solution for such tasks, it has to figure out which provider offers the best service for the enterprise.

Evades Vendor Lock-in One of the biggest challenges of cloud computing for enterprises is vendor lock-in. This happens when a business becomes so reliant on one vendor’s solutions and services that they make it difficult for them to stop using their offerings. Enterprises running a single cloud deployment face this issue all the time, especially if they decide to switch cloud providers. The resources you build in one cloud environment might not work in another environment without reconfiguring or rebuilding it entirely. However, deploying a multi-cloud strategy can lead to substantial benefits, using multiple cloud computing services such as

Michael Dell: A Leader And Dealer In Hope

A

Michael S. Dell CEO of Dell Technologies

Opinion

leader is an integral part of work and social life. In any situation, when people want to accomplish some goal, a leader is required, and leadership is a process by which a person inuences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization to make it cohesive and coherent. Leadership is the ability to build conďŹ dence and support among group members to achieve organizational goals. However, not everybody can be an exceptional leader. Leadership style varies with the situation permitting the leader to enjoy power by virtue of their expertise and skill. One such leader who won the heart of his followers is Michael Dell the founder and CEO of Dell Technologies, one of the world's largest technology infrastructure companies. Michael was born on 23/02/1965 in Houston, US and at a very early stage of life Dell understood the meaning of "Business Opportunity", as his mother's profession, stockbroker, frequently raised discussion of business and economic affairs at the family dinner table. And so when he began to collect stamps at age 12 and noticed prices rising, Dell recognized a business opportunity. Dell further developed his business acumen at the age of 16, when he sold newspaper subscriptions for the Houston Post. The approach used, succeeded so well that Dell earned $18,000 the ďŹ rst year and had bought a BMW automobile by the time he went to college. In the back seat of that BMW, Dell carried three personal computers, the seeds of PC's Limited and Dell Computer Corporation.

Dell's fascination with computers began with exposure to a data processor in junior high school then to computers at the local Radio Shack store. Exposure to the computer industry fostered Dell's desire to start a computer business. In 1983, a week before final examinations Dell incorporated the company Dell Computer Corporation. When Dell started his own business, he had limited management experience but, as his business started growing sharply, management skills became necessary to drive his company toward success. This is why he brought Lee Walker who was a venture capitalist to provide him with the required managerial and financial experience. Mr. Walker was Dell’s mentor and helped him build confidence to become a polished executive. Dell turned into a charismatic leader as his knowledge of all parts of the business grew and he motivated people by gaining their loyalty and respect. Dell’s successful leadership is a result of four main strengths: Ÿ His goal was clear and he stayed focus on it. Ÿ He has a strong innovation sense. Ÿ He is a hard worker with a great understanding of his responsibilities. He is known for his good balance between work and life (family). Ÿ He has a powerful vision for the future with a unique business’s philosophy. Dell’s manages his company directly as a CEO for 20 years where and is known as a warm guy with good characters for making his staff feel like part of a team. After he dropped out and Mr. Kevin Rollins become the CEO, Mr. Kevin kept and emotional distance from staff. In 2007, the board of directors of Dell Inc. agreed that Mr. Dell is required to glue the team again. He is back as the CEO and changed his way by introducing a new leadership board. He delegated power and share decision making. Mr. Dell brought Mr. Kevin on board when the company expanded to have multi-product in multi-geography locations to help him manage the company. They started a new leadership

approach of having two CEO’s in one company. Even though there is a risk of conflict but fortunately, it worked well with them. Analysis of Dell’s management style showed different ways of leadership. He was autocratic in his early life but then he became participative when he started sharing management, first when he started the two in a box style where two CEO in board leading the company, and second when he introduced the leadership board after he returned to CEO position in 2007. The way Dell changed his style to fit the conditions of his organization showed that he is following the situational leadership style. However, his style was more affecting people by his characteristics rather than his way of decision making. People working with Dell have a sense of loyalty to him. When he left for 3 years, employees, performance got affected and Mr. Dell came back to gather the team back. Such charisma and effect on people proved that Mr. Dell is a transformational leader who guides people by charisma and inspires them to follow his goals. The characteristics of Dell make him effective Leaders. He creates a trusting and open climate, to help others to be successful and to feel empowered. He also tried to encourage members to do more. He showed followers that they aren’t just the figurehead or decision-maker. Members respect leaders more when they show the willingness to work alongside them. Characteristics of a Successful Leadership are that the person others choose to follow, provide a vision for the future, provide inspiration, make other people feel important and appreciated and last but not least behave ethically. Leaders should have high moral and responsibility. Moreover, leaders with good relationship behaviour become more attached by followers and such leaders gain people’s respect. It is Dell’s leadership style that made him successful and allowed him to gain experience from people.

CloudTrends The Augmentation of Open Source Solutions in Cloud Computing

You couldn't have cloud without open source." —Bernard Golden. Open source burgeoning faster in the ecosystem created by cloud computing as the use of open source software is rising among the enterprises. According to a report, almost 60 per cent of enterprises are building entire infrastructures around it or already using open source software. By adopting open source, enterprises become most-advanced, nimble and competent. It also overlays the way for new digital services to be rapidly built, changed, enhanced and deployed so that new ideas for greater transparency, effectiveness, and efficiency can be tried and refitted if needed. Open source helps to drive digital transformation in enterprises, helping them realize benefits like better business agility, improved customer experiences and enhanced quality of service. Open source based cutting-edge technologies enable the enterprise to move from transactions based services to relationship based services.

Automation and infrastructure platforms such as OpenStack and Kubernetes are turnkeys in fastgrowing open source adoption along with the growing number of open source DevOps tools as organizations continue to migrate their operations to the cloud, open source will play vital parts in IT innovation beyond 2020. IT Operations should pay special attention to open source because of the growing use of the Docker and Kubernetes. Open source plugged in as a popular operating system in enterprise IT, with even more growth predicted.

Comprehensive Openstack OpenStack has grown effectively to be one of the choices used to build clouds. It provides a set of opensource software tools for building and managing cloud computing platforms for public and private clouds. This software platform embraces interrelated components that control diverse, multi-vendor hardware pools of processing, storage, and networking resources throughout a data center.

It can be managed through a web-based dashboard, through commandline tools, or through RESTfulweb. Openstack leverages commodity hardware. It has no lock-in, comes with lower price, failure skeptical, self-healing, reliable. Also have unlimited storage with large and flat namespace, highly scalable read/write access, able to serve content directly from the storage system. It provides multiple integrations with other systems like Ceph, Docker(plugins), Azure, Hyper-V and many more.

High-Available CloudStack Apache CloudStack is open source software designed to deploy and manage large networks of virtual machines, as a highly available, highly scalable Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud computing platform. It is a Java-based project that provides a management server and agents for hypervisor hosts so that you can run an IaaS cloud. CloudStack currently supports the most popular hypervisors VMware, KVM, Citrix XenServer, Xen Cloud Platform (XCP), Oracle VM server and Microsoft Hyper-V. CloudStack works with hosts running XenServer/XCP, KVM, Hyper-V, and/or VMware ESXi with vSphere. It provides a friendly Webbased UI for managing the cloud and provides a native API. Users can manage their cloud with an easy to use Web interface, command line tools, and/or a full-featured RESTful API.

Efficacious Apache Mesos Apache Mesos is the first open-source cluster manager that handles workloads efficiently in a distributed environment through dynamic resource sharing and isolation. It abstracts CPU, memory, storage, and other compute resources away from machines (physical or virtual), enabling faulttolerant and elastic distributed systems to be easily built and run effectively. This cluster manager is built using the same principles as the Linux kernel, only at a different level of abstraction. The Mesos kernel runs on every machine and provides applications (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch) with API’s for resource management and scheduling across entire datacenter and cloud environments. Mesos Mesos is cross-platform. It runs on Linux, OSX, and Windows. It provides native support for launching containers with Docker and AppC images. Achieves great levels of High Availability and fault-tolerant replicated master and agents using Zookeeper. Open source is being used to scale the company's cloud apps, as at the scale of cloud, there is no way for the old model to be economic. Also, cloud-based applications commonly experience more erratic workloads than do traditional applications, and buying software for each server is not a practical proposition. To stay ahead of the innovation curve, businesses will need to devote resources toward open-source projects, since the most innovative software development is coming from open platforms and communities.

Scalable Eucalyptus Eucalyptus is open source software for building AWS-compatible private and hybrid clouds. It is a Linux-based software architecture that implements scalable private and hybrid clouds within your existing IT infrastructure. As an onpremise (private) Infrastructure as a Service cloud solution, it allows using collections of resources (hardware, storage, and network) using a selfservice interface on an as-needed basis. As an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) product, Eucalyptus allows users to provision compute and storage resources on-demand (docs.eucalyptus.cloud).

The Future of ‘Cloudication’

T

oday, we are living in ‘Cloud’ era where we can connect everything digitally to Clouds which offers a whole new world of services, applications, and platforms. Now almost everyone comprehends cloud service is an unstoppable trend in the industry. Though cloud is not a new idea, we are just exploring its true capabilities. Here are a few significant ways in which the cloud will shape our lives over the next decade and beyond.

particularly small and mid-sized businesses, as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and other capabilities become available as services. And as every industry has different needs, thousands of distinct, separate clouds working in concert across a digital ecosystem of different industry verticals. All companies, regardless of industry or size need digital infrastructure to support their business operations and cloud services will change Information & Communication Technology from a support system into a production system.

Clouding Data Businesses grow organically, and much of the intrinsic value of a business resides in its data which is not just about the customer and product data, but also many other types of information that might fall under the big data umbrella. The cloud services help to cope with growing volumes of data and it enables us to store rising tide of data and mine it for usable insights, so new systems and software are adopted, mergers and acquisitions prompt integrations and migrations, and new devices and endpoints are added to networks all the time. And for businesses, effectively managing data without shuttering it and blocking legitimate requests for access, needs a robust cloud data management strategy.

Cloudifying Digital Infrastructure The cloud services remodeling companies,

Clouding Smartphone The necessities of smartphones and tablets are also having a major impact on the business world. Instead of being tied to desks in an office, today's workers can use their mobile devices to do their jobs at any time from just about anywhere. The flexibility demanded by the mobile workforce is one of the key reasons cloud services is on the rise. The anytime, anywhere access that cloud-based applications provide is ideal for workers who are always on the go. Employees can simply log into an application with a web-enabled device like a smartphone or tablet and perform their tasks in the cloud rather than by the office using their desktop computers.

Cloud’s AI Smartphones and other smart devices capture lots of unstructured data such as emails, text messages, and photos. Analyzing unstructured data takes time, so these devices have to send the data to powerful servers in the cloud. This slows down AI’s response time and to overcome this AI should happen in the cloud where

processing power is abundant and AI learns quickly. The AI takes what it has learned and applies it to real-life problems, happens on the device and because it needs to process data in real-time, tomorrow’s superadvanced devices won’t be able to meet the computing demands imposed by AI. They will have to rely on the processing power of the cloud.
