Welcome to our second color digital edition of the JUNE issue of THE LATEST SCOOP®. Those of you reading this issue online have successfully completed the steps to be a digital subscriber. Thanks for your support as we begin this exciting new chapter after 35 years of publishing in print. Subscriptions can now be ordered or renewed online at www.scoopautoevents.com We are grateful for your support and look forward to this new chapter with you! In this issue you’ll find the artwork of the very talented late Wayne McGinnis of Englewood, CO. You may recognize Wayne’s name from all the great art and illustrated car stories he has generously shared with THE LATEST SCOOP® readers over the years. Wayne trained at the Colorado Institute of Art and was a career car art enthusiast and creator. In addition to drawing cars, he also enjoyed working on them and writing stories about cars. Special thanks to Wayne’s wife Mary Lou for allowing us to continue sharing Wayne’s artwork with you. If you have a car buddy who also receives THE LATEST SCOOP® please reach out to them and make sure they made the transition to the digital version and were able to create their account with Zinio, the magazine platform where you are now viewing THE LATEST SCOOP®. Please offer to help them if you can. We have included some steps on the website www.scoopautoevents.com Subscribers can also renew or create new subscriptions by clicking on the SUBSCRIBE TODAY! button at the website. We are looking forward to having more space for features and articles of interest along with more photos now that we are not so limited by the number of pages of a print version of THE LATEST SCOOP®. We look forward to hearing from you and featuring your work if you are a writer/photographer. Please contact us at info@scoopautoevents.com Artwork appearing in THE LATEST SCOOP® is courtesy of the featured artist and protected under copyright laws. These images may not be reproduced in any form―regardless of reproduction quality or method of distribution―without written consent of the contributing artist. In other words, if you like an artist’s work, please contact them to obtain permission before using their work and to arrange for any payment. EVENT LISTINGS are courtesy of THE LATEST SCOOP® Advertisers, Subscribers and Event Organizers. Special thanks to all for using the Please List Our Event Form found at www.scoopautoevents.com. Using this form helps ensure the accuracy of your listing. We do our best to ensure accuracy of events. However, there will always be some obstacles such as event organizers who: 1) provide incorrect dates, 2) forget to notify us of date changes, or 3) forget to inform us of event cancellations. We appreciate your support in passing accurate information on to other enthusiasts! CLUB LISTINGS are complimentary in THE LATEST SCOOP® and rely on the information provided by each club. When changing existing club listings please include the entire current listing (club name, vehicles included in the club, meeting time/location, and contact information, etc.) of the old listing AND the complete new listing so we can add the new and delete the old. To add a “new” club to the Club Listings please provide the same information listed for current participants. Please email your club updates to: info@scoopautoevents.com CALL BEFORE YOU GO because many events THE LATEST SCOOP® may be canceled due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances. Please avoid frustration and wasted trips by calling ahead―or checking the event website to confirm dates and times―especially if traveling any distance! Please be aware that errors in listings do occur. Event organizers sometimes submit incorrect event info or we make our own typos too! Please verify the event before traveling and remember events are often weather permitting. Planning a trip outside the Rocky Mountain Region? If traveling west contact Cruisin’ News for all the action in Northern California at 916-933-0949. When heading into the American or Canadian northwest, check out Northwest Car Events Calendar―the most comprehensive calendar serving Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, British Columbia, and Alberta or visit their website at www.upfrontimages.com and please mention THE LATEST SCOOP® sent you! Feedback on THE LATEST SCOOP® is always welcome! We encourage readers to submit letters expressing their ideas and comments to: PO Box 7477, Loveland, CO 80537 or by email at: info@scoopautoevents.com Our credibility is at stake with every event we list. We can’t possibly recheck every event before printing so truly appreciate updates about event changes as do your fellow auto enthusiasts who rely on accurate information in THE LATEST SCOOP®! However, we strongly advise travelers to call ahead and confirm events before traveling!
