In an interview on Aug 13, ASJ Vice-Principal Victoria Gallardo acclaimed that the preparations needed to start the AirClass were overwhelming.
However, she was very firm that AirClass will be a success, arguing that with the preparations, leadership of Principal-cum-Consultant Daisy Romero and Finance Head Joselito Pascual, the passion of the newly appointed principal Richard Pineda, Principal’s Council, faculty members, and nonteaching staff (NTS) the Air- Class will deliver.
Gallardo mentioned that Romero, through the mobilization of the technical team, informed and updated the ASJ community, pointing out that with the team, they will be prepared and involved in the AirClass.
According to her, the plans were laid down by Romero and Pascual, through conference calls, to the parents.
Gallardo furthered that she is very grateful to Pascual for he provided everything the school needed, noting that the school only had enough money for the salary and benefits of the teachers.
On the off hand, Gallardo listed the things ASJ bolstered itself with for the new normal, namely, the LMS which is Schoology,
as its main platform, upgraded internet connection, and trainings for the teaching force from ASJ and Rex Bookstore, which started in June.
Additionally, she enumerated the boons of an LMS like Schoology, which are teachers having the ability
to create materials and resources, visual aids and video presentations inside Schoology as it is embedded, enhanced privacy, meaning other schools cannot penetrate the LMS, the automatic checking of quizzes, and breakout rooms, which allows the splitting the class into smaller groups.
