a wide variety of architectural styles and designs, beautiful settings, as well as innovative decorations and furnishings. Eleven homes in total are part of this year’s lineup and are located in the towns of Laconia, Meredith, Center Harbor, Moultonborough, Wolfeboro, Ashland and Hebron.

“This will be one of our most diverse tours,” commented Executive Officer, Brenda Richards. They range in size from the 720 square foot guest cottage on the footprint of a previous structure featuring brand new and highly efficient examples of modern technology to the 6,000 square foot waterfront classic equipped with five bedrooms, four baths and two powder rooms. Three of the builds are part of developments and are for sale offering a rich list of features and amenities along with scenic views. Three of the “show homes” are remodels of varying degrees. This offers visitors insight into what is possible in the world of remodeling an existing home. Whether you want ideas for your current home, are looking for your next home or just appreciate the craftsmanship of new homes, the Parade has something for everyone.

“Our goal is simple — to produce the best construction industry home tour event! We are very excited to partner with so many terrific companies and connect hundreds of homeowners with building industry professionals,” commented Richards.

The Lakes Region Parade of Homes is set for Columbus Day weekend, October 7 to 9 from 10 am to 4 pm daily. This “self guided tour” showcases beautifully crafted homes built by premier Lakes Region builders.

As of last week, at least half of the show homes on the tour were still busily working to put their finishing touches to their projects, but organizers said that’s part of the reason why the builders are great at their craft.

Like the TV Show, “Extreme Make Over”, where builders and sub-contractors come together for that last push to complete the project, Parade of Homes builders rely on their trained crews and trade-related professions to have the homes show-ready and finished on time.

New England homes on average take around nine months to complete.

The style of the home influences construction time with many custom-built homes and Parade homes averaging 10 to 16 months to finish.

One thing is for sure, Lakes Region Builders work very closely with their homeowners. Through carefully listening to the client, the builder can help identify the best solutions, products, materials and designs to satisfy the customer. Often, the customer isn’t aware of options available. The builder constantly offers insight and solutions to help the customer build the home of their dreams while maximizing their budget.

It’s Sandwich Fair Time!

Foliage and farm animals and great food! It’s time for the 107th Sandwich Fair held annually on Columbus Day weekend in Center Sandwich, NH. The dates of the

fair are October 7, 8 and 9 with a midway sneak preview Friday night. This is a 3-½ day event with something for everyone, with a few new events featured on certain days.

New to the fair this year is Scott Norman – Master Pumpkin carver.

He will perform two shows a day on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

One will be an hour-long program on pumpkin carving education and the other will involve a low-grade explosive device that he uses to blow up a pumpkin.

Monday for the first time there will be a Junior Oxen Pulling Competition, and also for the second year in a row, Granite State Disc Dogs performing three shows on Saturday only.

The Sandwich Fair offers something for everyone, from animal competitions, antique tractor pulls, traditional farmer’s market, helicopter rides (weather permitting), full midway to numerous buildings filled with crafts, flowers, vegetables, photos, baked goods, and more. The stage shows featuring music and variety acts throughout the day are included with the general admission ticket.

The Sandwich Fair also welcomes new Masters of Ceremonies this year: Rick Adams (Professor Paddy-Whack) and Joe Howard will be at the Stage replacing longtime MC Art Harriman. They will take turns keeping the shows going throughout the day, as well as doing daily performances.

Friday night is the ride preview where you can pay one price and ride all you want from 4 to 9 pm.

Rides, games and food are available; all other exhibits are closed until Saturday morning.

Saturday starts with an opening ceremony at the flagpole. This year will be extra special with a dedication at this area and flag pole to long time “Keeper of the Flag”, friend and board member Peter L. Wright. The Fair is also celebrating 25 years of Meredith Village Savings Bank sponsoring the very popular Children’s Tractor Pull.

This event has grown over the years and the Fair representatives express sincere gratitude to the bank for not only sponsoring, but also running this two-day event on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Saturday also features the antique auto show, which begins at 8 am and concludes with a parade at 1 pm, the Farmer’s Hitch, and numerous animal exhibits and competitions.

There also will be a great day of acts on the stage. The Peacheaters, an Allman Tribute Band, will perform twice and also performing will be Bryson Lang, Comedy, and Juggler performing two shows.

Sunday’s big feature is the Grand Street Parade, which kicks off at 1 pm. There will be high school bands, Shriners in their mini cars and bagpipers along with numerous

floats. Always at the end of the parade is the “parade of oxen”.

It is an amazing site to see these beautiful creatures walking in unison. The theme of the parade this year is “Hooray for the Fair”.

Please arrive in town early, as traffic gets quite congested by late morning. Other Sunday highlights are the FFA Woodmen’s Field Day competition, horse pulling, several animal competitions and pumpkin carving and exploding pumpkin demonstration with Scott Norman.

Entertainment on the stage for the day is The Club Soda Band, Joe Howard Magician and Don Campbell Band.

Monday is packed full of great things: the 3rd Annual Truck Pull, Women’s Skillet Toss and Gentlemen’s Keg Toss and Oxen Pulling are a few highlights. Don’t forget about the baked good auction that takes places at 3:30 pm. All

Flying Monkey to screen early silent horror classic ‘The Golem’ with live music ‘The Golem’ (1920), a German film about a man made of clay and brought to life, will be screened with live music on Wednesday, October 4 at 6:30 pm at the Flying Monkey Moviehouse and Performance Center, located at 39 South Main Street in Plymouth.

Silent film musician Jeff Rapsis will accompany the film live. (Please note the Wednesday screening date is a change for the Flying Monkey’s silent film shows, which until now have taken place on Thursdays.)

In ‘The Golem,’ set in 16th-century Prague, a Rabbi creates a giant creature from clay, called the Golem. Using sorcery, the Rabbi brings the creature to life in order to protect the local Jewish population from persecution. But the experiment gets out of hand, with the Golem imperiling the very community he was created to protect.

“Showing a film such as ‘The Golem’ is a good way to get into the Halloween spirit,” Rapsis said. ‘It helps set the appropriately creepy tone.”

‘The Golem,’ directed by Paul Wegener, uses surrealistic sets and

lighting to create an eerie mood. The story is taken from a medieval Jewish legend. In addition to directing, Wegener appears in the film as ‘The Golem’ when the clay creature is brought to life.

‘The Golem’ was sensational upon its release and has left a lasting legacy within the movie industry, alongside another early German expressionist horror film, ‘The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari’ (1920). Architect Hans Poelzig designed the sets, a reproduction of the medieval Jewish ghetto of Prague. He created them specifically for the movie camera, using highly expressionist imagery.

The cinematography of Karl Freund, in collaboration with Poelzig and Wegener, is cited as one of the most outstanding examples of German Expressionism of Weimar period cinema.

‘The Golem’ will be accompanied by live music by Jeff Rapsis, a New Hampshire-based silent film accompanist who performs at venues across the region and beyond. Using

More Than a Little, not to mention his frequent appearances with the venerable jam-band String Cheese Incident. Overall, between 1995 and 2016, Williams released a jawdropping 22 albums in various genres.

In fact, up until this year, there was pretty much only one thing Williams hadn’t done: a solo acoustic album.

But it’s not like he hadn’t tried.

Four of the tracks on his new, firstever solo acoustic release, “Raw,” come from a project that Williams recorded and then abandoned six years ago.

“The plan was to play 12 different songs on 12 different guitars, and I did it,” Williams says. “But it just wasn’t right, so I didn’t release it.”

So what prompted him to return

to that all-acoustic idea and add six more new songs in the same mode?

As it happens, the impetus came from a proposed tour with one of Williams’ idols, and a legendary guitarist in his own right.

“The tour was called ‘Shut the Folk Up And Listen,’ ” Williams says about a run with Leo Kottke.

“And it was about just focusing on playing guitar and singing and telling stories through song. I was abandoning all electronics and just performing with a microphone and guitar.”

Williams will play the Flying Monkey stage on October 6, and the audience might hear some of those stripped-down songs, or they might not.

“It depends on the atmosphere,” he says. “If I find myself in that situation to where these songs can be absorbed in the right way, then I’ll definitely play them. But I’m very grateful to have a plethora of songs to choose from. With my solo shows, anything can happen at any time. There are no rules; the set could change in a second.”

Thrilling Comedy on Playhouse Stage With the start of fall comes the inevitable: pumpkin spice lattes, candy corn, cozy boots, and all things murder mystery. The Winnipesaukee Playhouse’s professional company will be serving up some comedic chills and thrills when they present Ira Levin’s

record-breaking Deathtrap from October 5 through 8.

Broadway’s longest-running comedic thriller, Deathtrap is the story of a once-successful Broadway playwright who struggles to overcome a dry spell that’s resulted in a string of

flops. His fortunes turn when one of his students shares a brilliant new script with blockbuster potential. The author and his wife devise a plan to steal the work – but is it all that it seems?

Suspense mounts steadily as the plot begins to twist and turn until the final, fatal moments of the play.

When Deathtrap opened on Broadway in 1978, it was acclaimed by reviewer Walter Kerr as “an absolute knockout of a suspense melodrama,” a sentiment that explains its subsequent four-year run on Broadway. Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve starred in the 1982 film version.

The production is directed by Marta Rainer, who returns to direct her fourth production for the Playhouse following Talley’s Folly, Lost in Yonkers, and last fall’s The Ghost in the Meadow.

It features Mark Stephen Woods, this summer’s Frank-n-Further in The Rocky Horror Show and Uncle Willie in High Society as playwright Sidney Bruhl.

Kristian Sorsensen, who last

performed alongside Woods in Peter and the Starcatcher in the Playhouse’s 2016 season, plays his student, Clifford Anderson. Samuel Shurtleff, who recently joined the Playhouse to play Bert Barricune in The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance, plays the role of Porter Milgrim, Sidney’s attorney.

Broadway veteran Carolyn Kirsch, who featured in the original cast of A Chorus Line in addition to many other Broadway productions, plays Helga ten Dorp, a medium who shows up at the Bruhl. Kirsch won three New Hampshire Theatre Awards for her work at the Playhouse, most recently winning Best Actress in a Play and the Recognition of Playwriting Excellence award for her play, The Waltz. Sidney’s wife, Myra, will be played by Fleece in her Playhouse debut.

Traditional Wilderness Skills Workshops The next workshop in the Reskill-ience series is titled Traditional Wilderness Skills, and will be led

by Tom Belluscio, certified Maine Wilderness Guide and Certified First Responder.

Teens, ages 13-18, are invited to an introduction to learning how to live off the land. The class will begin by learning what to do if you get lost in the woods, how to identify important plants, and the first steps to building a shelter. The workshop will be capped off with a challenge. See if you are able to light a fire with only one match left and learn the fire-starting techniques so that you can! Come out for a fun

filled fall day in the wild! Participants should come prepared with a water bottle, weather appropriate attire (an extra layer and rain jacket just in case), and a snack.

The class takes place on Saturday, October 7 from 1 to 4 pm at 774 Pleasant Valley Road in Wolfeboro. The house is located where the road turns to dirt.

There you will keep driving straight down the path to a grassy lot where you will see the group.

The workshop is being offered for free thanks to the generous support from an anonymous donor advised fund of the NH Charitable Foundation.

When Pigs Fly! Ultralights on Winnipesaukee Story and photo by Barbara Neville Wilson According to Laconia’s Timothy Lacey, on days you see Rick Pierce flying over Lake Winnipesaukee, you know “everything is all right with the world.” Rick only flies when the weather is perfect, so when you see him, “you know it’s a good day.”

Timothy and Rick have a unique friendship. They see each other via Facebook almost daily when the weather is good and Rick is flying.

They recognize each other’s faces and are in touch by written word and hand wave. They both know where the other lives on the lake, yet they’ve never

met each other. It’s friendship borne out of a “ ‘spiderweb’ of connections,” Timothy says.

I first meet Rick face-to-face on the dock of the Wolfeboro Corinthian Yacht Club in Wolfeboro, where my young friend Joel Chick and I climb into his boat for the short ride to Barndoor Island. Like Timothy, I’ve never met Rick before, but recognize him instantly from his Facebook page.

We start a conversation almost midstream because I feel like we’ve already met through information he has posted online. He is very active on Facebook and there are dozens of videos on his YouTube channel. Folks post pictures

He’s often accompanied by his friend, Spencer Joyner, in his nearidentical Trike, and you’ll see them flying in formation, a self-taught skill, says Rick. His friendship with Spencer is a long one, built on shared flying experience, and a love of Ultralights.

Rick comes from a Winnipesaukee summer family. For as long as he can remember, summer has meant Winnipesaukee. The family enjoyed various cottages through the years, but the one constant was always the water, and for his father, an amphibious plane.

Following his dad’s footsteps, Rick became interested in flying at a young age. His first scenic flight was taken at Wolfeboro Airport. At the age of 16 he started flying lessons, and he earned his pilot’s license at 22.

For a few years, he flew his own plane, a Cherokee 6. He enjoyed time in the air and as he grew older, the time it gave him away from his successful—but pressure-filled— construction business. But one day, he sat down and calculated the true cost of owning that Cherokee. He realized he had effectively paid $265/hour to own the plane, do maintenance, rent airport space, and pay insurance—even before he paid for fuel. In contrast, he could have rented the same plane, fully fueled, for $90/hour. Discouraged, he sold the plane. Ten years later, he spied his first Ultralight on Winnipesaukee.

And so did Spencer Joyner.

In the summer of 1999, they both saw Kit Clews of Sleeper Island flying his Ultralight. Both men were experienced pilots, and Rick reports he knew immediately he wanted one. It was just such a beautiful concept: an aircraft with full, clear views, uninhibited by strict flight rules. It was a lithe machine, easy to maneuver and could be kept dockside at one’s home. He had to have one, and immediately started educating himself on everything Ultralight.

By FAA rules, an Ultralight pilot seeking his Light Sport License must meet certain requirements and accumulate a minimum of 20 hours of flight time. After that, the prospective pilot can be tested and take a flight exam by a qualified instructor. Rick already had 250 hours of experience as an airplane pilot and still had a lot to learn as a new Ultralight pilot.

He’s serious when he advises that new Ultralight pilots need substantially more than 20 hours of flight time to fully understand the complexities of flying an Ultralight. Safety is of paramount importance always, and pilots need to learn to prepare for the unexpected. Having experienced three engine outs himself, he shares this wisdom: it’s just a matter of time, he says, before every pilot will experience a potentially dangerous situation and need to execute an emergency landing.

He advises pilots to get as much flight time as possible before thinking about taking out passengers. “You can’t outrun statistics. It’s not a question of IF, but a question of WHEN,” he says; you want to be well prepared.

On this day, I am invited to don a red flight suit and matching red helmet equipped with headphones and microphone, and walk carefully across the When Pigs Fly! float. I climb into a seat behind Rick and wave “so long” to the rapidly picture-taking Joel. We back gently out of the sleekly engineered lift system and taxi on the water for just a few hundred feet before rising into the air for the most breathtaking views of Winnipesaukee imaginable. They far outrank any view from land, water, Mount Major or Red Hill. We climb high and see endlessly, then drop down and fly low next to a flock of ducks just lifting from the water surface. Small figures in boats raise hands, and a tourist snaps our photo as we wing by Ellacoya Beach.

For minutes on end, we sweep and turn, swoop and lift as we spy out cottage neighborhoods and an estate, look for action at Timothy Lacey’s dock and peek at Kit Crew’s old place.

Rick calls Spencer on the radio, hoping to fly with his friend, but Spencer’s engine needs a little work and he’s still on land. Under the bright-colored wings, I feel the warmth of sun, the

cool breeze of air, and just wish we could fly forever.

As we drop altitude and start circling for landing, Rick stops the engine to simulate an engine-out and we glide silently into a smooth landing right in front of his house. It’s hard to find words to full explain the experience.

Almost apologetically, I thank Rick— again—for inviting me to fly with him, and he replies in amazement, “It’s like a childhood dream…it’s just the coolest thing in the world. It just never gets old. Why wouldn’t I want to share it with everyone?”

Our day with Rick Pierce piques 17 year-old Joel’s interest in Ultralight flight. A cadet in the Civil Air Patrol and student pilot, he says that before meeting Rick, “I never really thought about flying Ultralights before.” Rick suggests that Joel or anyone interested in flying contact him on Facebook, @ rpierce1956 to discuss ways to start their journey. The most important advice he gives, though, is to fly as much as you can, as often as you can.

Chillin’ While Grillin’ ~ It’s Time for Pies and Crisps and Cobblers!

By Chef Kelly Ross We will be cooking in a bit of a different arena today - we will not be Grillin’, but we can still be Chillin’!

With fall basically upon us and being the peak of apple season, it is time to think about recipes for cobblers and crisps and pies.

I’m gearing these recipes around apples, because it is apple season. Some of my favorite pies and crisps are made with blueberries, raspberries, peaches, cherries and strawberries. Raspberry pie and an apple and blueberry combination crisp are the best.

One of the biggest questions I am asked is, “What is the difference between a cobbler and a crisp?” A crisp is what most of us know, as it is topped with oats, butter, and brown sugar.

A traditional cobbler is topped with dropped biscuits. When it comes out of the oven, it has a cobblestone look to it, which is how it got its name.

Most people I know are well versed in making a great crisp. It’s very easy and in many opinions, it’s the best and most popular. The topping is what makes it different and scrumptious.

The brown sugar and oats and butter do create an unmistakable and wonderful sweetness that accompanies the fruit very well. Of course, you have to finish it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

As for cobblers, the fruit filling is generally done the same way as the crisp, but instead of the sweet topping of the crisp, you drop on biscuit dough in clumps to cover the top and bake. This is still an outstanding final product but

more conventional and not as sweet. I have found that most cobbler recipes do have more sugar in the fruit mixture to make up for the lack of sweetness in the topping.

For a truly successful pie, it’s all about the crust, which scares off some non-pastry makers. Like most people I know, their grandmother was their favorite cook of all time, and my Grammy Judy mastered the piecrust and her pies were by far the best I have ever had. The crusts were flaky and melted in your mouth. Mastering a good piecrust can be frustrating at first, but once you get the true knack, you will be able to make this crust in your sleep!

Let’s start by making an apple pie and creating a successful piecrust from

scratch. Here is what you will need to make two discs of crust.

3 cups all-purpose flour 1 ¼ cups cold unsalted butter 1/2 tsp salt 9 tbsp. ice water 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar As I said earlier, mastering the technique to making a great crust can be frustrating. There are a few key tips to always consider to making a perfect flaky crust. First and foremost, you want a few of your ingredients to be as cold as possible. I put my water in the freezer and pull it just as the top of the water begins to crystallize, so your timing here is key. The butter should be used right out of the refrigerator.

Cut into tablespoon size slices. The vinegar should also be refrigerated prior to making the crust. I also want my hands as cold as possible. I run them under cold water a few times during the process. Secondly, you do not want to overwork the dough. The principle is the same whether making bread dough, pizza crust dough, or piecrust. Overworking the dough creates a tougher crust. Lastly, having a food processor does help quite a bit.

(Nothing incorporates the cold butter more successfully and it will help in not overworking the dough.) Lastly, do not add too much water. Follow these directions and I think you will succeed.

To make the dough for the crust, put the flour, salt, and cold slices of butter into the food processor. Pulse together with about 10 one-second pulses until it resembles course crumbs. Combine the water and vinegar in a bowl. Dump half of the mixture into the processor and pulse to combine, about three onesecond pulses. Add the rest of the liquid and pulse until the dough just starts to come together, about eight one-second pulses. Remember, do not over mix and only mix with one-second pulses.

Dump the mixture onto a lightly floured surface. It likely will not be all in one hunk of dough but now that is your job to do so. With cold hands, work it just enough so it is one piece.

Divide in half and work each half into a disk, using a roller as needed. Usually, the first roll out can crumble or crack or be uneven. If that happens, don’t fret.

Gently pull the sides into the middle, flip it over, and roll out again. A smooth, round, even crust should be easier the second time around. Wrap each disk in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before you use it.

To complete the pie, you will need the following: 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 cup flour 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp nutmeg a couple shakes of salt 8 cups sliced apples, (8-10 medium sized apples) 2 tbsp. butter Lightly grease your pie plate and place one of the pie dough disks inside • Grillin’ Continued on page 27

Dump into the pie dish over the bottom crust. Plop the butter in pieces over the top and then add the top pie crust over the apple mixture. If there is a lot of excess dough over the sides, feel free to trim some off, but you want to have enough excess so you can now pinch the two crusts together and even roll them somewhat. Everyone has their own style of setting up the outer edges.

Once that is done, you need to make a few slits in the dough to let steam escape during the cooking process.

Again, everyone has a personal style.

Be as artistic or as simple as you care to be. Once your oven is preheated to 425 degrees, place your pie plate on top of a cookie sheet, just in case the pie bubbles over a little during the cooking process. Another thing I like to do is rip off a piece of aluminum foil, one that is large enough to go around the pie crust. Fold it over a few times so it is a 2-3 inch strip that I lightly wrap over the pinched and fluted edge of the crust. I find that the outer edge has a tendency to get too dark in relation to the rest of the pie. The pie will need to cook about 50 minutes or so, but take the foil off for the last 20 minutes of

baking. The pie is done when the crust is a nice golden brown and the inside is bubbling somewhat thru the slits. If you are going to eat the pie warm and out of the oven, wait at least 20 minutes before slicing it as it needs time to set up. Don’t forget the vanilla ice cream.

When making a cobbler, some people prefer to add a little sugar in the cobbler fruit mixture. The cobbler topping is more of a biscuit type of thing as opposed to the brown sugar and oats and butter topping of the crisp. To each their own. All in all, the insides of the pie, cobbler or crisp are basically the same recipe, although everyone should alter the recipe to their own liking. For a cobbler, make some biscuit batter, whether from scratch or using Bisquick. It’s generally a good idea to heat the fruit mixture, whether it is apples, peaches, blueberries, cherries or whatever you may want to use. Once it is very hot, put the fruit into a baking dish and then start spooning the biscuit dough batter over the top. Cooking it at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or so will get you right where you want to be.

Another option for the cobbler is using a yellow cake mix for the topping.

I actually like this version more than a traditional cobbler. You don’t need to heat the fruit mixture prior to baking this one. Put the fruit mixture into a 9 x 13 greased baking dish. Then, mix

one box of yellow cake mix, 1/2 cup of melted butter, 1/2 cup of coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts, and two tsp of ground cinnamon until crumbly.

Sprinkle evenly over the fruit mixture and bake at 375 for 45 minutes or so, until lightly browned. I really do prefer this version much better. It’s almost a cross between a traditional cobbler and a crisp. Whichever your choice, don’t forget the ice cream.

OK, now that we mastered the pies and cobblers, let’s attack the crisp. To make in an 8 x 8 pan, here is what you need: 5 cups of sliced apples 3/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup rolled oats 1/3 cup softened butter 3/4 tsp ground cinnamon 3/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Grease the bottom and sides of your pan. Place the apples in the pan.

Combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl until mixed very well, and then top the apples evenly. Bake for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender when pierced with a fork. Don’t forget to add a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

One last item, which is my favorite, is a combination of the pie and the crisp. I do love a good pie crust, but I am also a sucker for the crisp topping, so I often make the pie without the top crust and use the crisp topping instead.

Oh yeah, did I forget to mention how you should add a scoop of vanilla ice cream?!

Halloween Hoot ’N Howl at the Science Center It began in 1991 with live skits about nature with an eerie and often humorous twist. Since then, the annual Halloween Hoot ’N Howl at Squam Lakes Natural Science Center in Holderness has become a beloved event with multiple generations of families coming back year after year for Halloween fun.

On Saturday, October 14 from 6 to 8:30 pm, guests will enjoy various Halloween thrills on the Science Center grounds! Between 6 and 7:30 pm, 40-minute guided tours will depart every 10 minutes, bringing guests around a Halloween-themed trail. Along the way, guides will stop for guests to watch

skits and other spooky attractions. After the tour, guests can enjoy fun games, snacks and beverages, and Halloween candy.

Past skits at the Halloween Hoot ’N Howl have included storytelling, mad scientists, mysterious creatures, wild animals, and crazy insects. Guests are encouraged to dress in costume to keep with the Halloween theme of the event.

The event is for all ages and will be held rain or shine. This is a reservation-only event that regularly sells out.

Traditional Harvest Supper Ushers in Fall For over 50 years, the women of the Union Congregational Church have offered a traditional Harvest Supper featuring all the great vegetables of the fall season.
