With profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we celebrate the legacy of Sharmin Pinkston, who peacefully entered eternal rest on May 28, 2026.
Born on December 4, 1974, Sharmin was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, aunt, niece, cousin, mentor, entrepreneur, and friend whose vibrant spirit touched countless lives. She was the cherished daughter of Mrs. Lula Mae Stone Pinkston, who raised her with strong values of faith, perseverance, compassion, and service. Sharmin shared a deeply loving marriage with her husband, Markensonn Fortune; together, they built a life centered on faith, family, friendship, and unwavering mutual support. She was also the loving sister of Lanette Pinkston, Ruby Cavil, Michelle McClary
Sharmin possessed a natural gift for beauty, creativity, and business, building a distinguished career in the beauty industry that spanned decades. As a highly respected platform stylist for the renowned Bronner Bros. International Beauty Show, her talent and expertise took her across the United States. For more than eight years, she served as an educator and product specialist for Target Marketing Group, training fellow stylists on emerging hair care products and techniques, and she was the proud owner of Royal Diva's Beauty Salon in Lithonia, Georgia.
Never one to limit her potential, Sharmin later expanded her professional pursuits into real estate, where her elegance, warm personality, and dedication made her a trusted advisor. Most recently, she poured her heart into her latest venture, The Charming Spot in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Moving beyond the beauty industry, she dedicated this special space to mentoring and uplifting her clients, providing profound support and encouragement through purposeful guidance, prayer, and meditation.
While Sharmin achieved great professional success, her greatest joy came from the relationships she nurtured. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she found immense strength, encouragement, and peace through worship. Among the gospel songs closest to her heart were *"Chilly Winds," "Take Me Back," "Everybody Ought to Praise Him," "Shine on Me," "I Need Thee," "Sit Down Servant," "You Fight On," "Say Yes," "God Specializes," "Better Than Good to Me," "Lord Don't Move My Mountain," "I Just Can't Give Up Now,"* and *"You Know My Name."* These melodies reflected the deep trust in God that defined her journey.
Sharmin will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile, generous heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering willingness to help others. She possessed a rare ability to make everyone she encountered feel truly seen and loved.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy lives on through the family she adored, the businesses she built, the friendships she nurtured, and the faith she carried. Sharmin's memory will remain a constant source of inspiration, reminding us to live boldly, love deeply, serve faithfully, and trust God completely.
