It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Shamika Curry, who departed this life on May 24, 2026, at the age of 41.
Shamika was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, niece, family member, and friend whose presence brought joy, comfort, and love to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her caring heart, quiet strength, adventurous spirit, and the kindness she extended to others throughout her life. Her memory will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration to those who loved her.
A resident of McDonough, Born in Long Beach, New York, Shamika leaves behind a legacy of love and beautiful memories that will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
Above all else, Shamika deeply cherished being a mother. Her son, Zayden Eli Chambers, was the light of her life and brought her endless pride and happiness. She loved nature and found peace and joy in hiking, traveling, visiting various hiking trails, and amusement parks. Shamika also had a passion for collecting crystals and enjoyed learning about the stock market. She was a dreamer with a beautiful vision for her future, aspiring one day to own her own business and open an earth store where she could share her passions and creativity with others.
She is survived by her beloved son, Zayden Eli Chambers; her loving mother, Cynthia Curry; her devoted sister, Shavier Alexander; her cherished aunts, Lynette Curry, Annie Curry, and Marion Pointer; her beloved uncles, Tony Richardson, Andrew Turner, and Jerome Turner; along with many other relatives and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Curry, and her uncles, Monze Curry, Dwight Curry, Ernest Curry, and Leslie Turner Jr. Also her grandmother, Louise Amritt, and Tommie Sue Curry, whose memories she carried with her throughout her life.
Though words cannot fully express the sorrow of her loss, we take comfort in the love, memories, and moments she shared with us. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of a who knew and loved her family and friends are invited to celebrate Shamika’s life and honor the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
Shamika’s life was a gift, her memory a blessing, and her love a treasure that time can never take away.
