A Woman who is BOLD, BRAVE, and DRAWS BEAUTY from within her SOUL. She is STRONG yet LOVING, CALM yet PASSIONATE.

A Warrior Princess is someone who listens to the wounded heart and comforts the broken.

We were not made to be the woman in distress.

We were made to be women leading the charge side by side with our brothers and our sisters!

Family and Friends

Family and Friends The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation for your kind expressions of love, words of encouragement, thoughtfulness, services rendered beyond the call of duty and the joy you’ve shown to enlighten our hearts during this time of bereavement.

Our Warrior Princess K’Tahna “Jordin” Smith

K’Tahna “Jordin” Smith was born on October 20, 2009 to Cynthia Coleman and Kevin Smith. Jordin was the third child of five to her mother and the last child to her father of six.

Jordin was family-oriented, always a helper and very smart at an early age. At daycare she would participate in plays and other activities, always being the leader. Jordin started playing basketball for the Boys and Girls Club of Aurora at the age of 6. Once she completed Elementary school Jordin attended North middle school where she found her true passion for playing basketball for 6th and 7th grade. In the 8th grade she attended Aurora Hills Middle School where she played basketball and found a passion for volleyball. Her basketball ball team made it to the championship where they placed 3rd place. Jordin attended Aurora Central High School where she found another passion of hers for Dance. There she was a part of the ACHS Dance team. They competed in local dance competitions to state competitions to even make it to the Regionals in Florida where they placed 17 out of 50 competing teams. As much as she hated going to school, she would still show up and there she also was loved and left an impression on the staff and teachers. Everyone knew Jordin from her laugh, smile and her honesty. She had dreams of playing ball for the rest of high school and once she graduated, she wanted to go to college to get a degree and become a pediatrician.

Jordin loved spending time with her family. She was like the life of the party with her smile and her loud laugh always on go for a dance, she would often dance with her Gana, her mother, and her father, anyone who would extend their hand for a dance with Jordin she would not pass it up. “J” as her mom would call her, was always helping her mom with her younger siblings Teriauna and Sir, she would refer to her mom as dukes. Jordin had many nicknames from everyone. Tahna, Jordie Bordie, Jordy, Jor Jor, pounds, white girl, “J” Tottie and J baby. K’tahana “Warrior Princess” her cousin Charles would always say every time he saw her even talked to her on the phone. Jordie Jordie would be a song her late great grandmother Cici would sing to her every time she saw her.

In her younger years she would often spend time with her mother and her father at work. Both coworkers and their bosses loved having her come in and help out. The memories. She would spend a lot of time with her two older sisters Aaryn, Kaylin, her cousins, and her best friend (sister) Desi and her boyfriend Jaray. They would cook and binge watch their shows and movies all weekend and of course from time to time they would attend a party and show up and show out dancing, one of her favorite things to do. Jordin and her cousins Jada and Isreal would often hold lemonade stands in the summer and sit on the corner or in front of the house, one time they had a booth on Juneteenth selling their fresh squeezed lemonade that was delicious.

J was the kid that always offered to carry, bring, help, walk, keep, and love. And the whole time she has that big ole smile on her face. Never an ill gesture, word, or deed against anyone she loved. And don’t get me started on “twerkin” her laugh, her selflessness, her honesty, doing hair and eyelashes, the way she would put it on, her sayings “ huh uhhh”, “Clock it”, “not too much”, “alright now” everything about our resting angel will be missed.

Jordin is survived by her mother Cynthia Coleman (Terrance Gray) sisters Aaryn, Kaylin, Teriauna and brother Terrance all of Aurora CO.
