JOHNATHAN MITCHELL

Obituary John was born on November 15, 1983, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Gloria Clark and John Mitchell. He was the second of three children and was also blessed with bonus siblings, and others who loved him dearly.

John was a man who knew and believed in God. Our beloved grandmother, Rosa Clark, instilled faith in all of her children and grandchildren, making sure they knew God and understood His love, grace, and purpose. That foundation remained with John throughout his life.

From an early age, John was known for his determination and incredible work ethic. He got his first job at Wendy's as a young teenager and quickly set a goal for himself—to buy his own car. Around the age of 15, he proudly purchased his beloved "Cutlass Supreme", a milestone that sparked his lifelong passion for automobiles. Determined to learn everything he could, he taught himself how to work on cars and soon became an self made mechanic.

He genuinely loved working with his hands, solving problems, and earning an honest living.

John graduated from North Clayton High School in 2002. Following graduation, he proudly enlisted in the United States Army. He attended Atlanta Technical College, where he studied automotive mechanics. He went on to become a dedicated landscaper and talented mobile mechanic whose strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to help others earned him the respect and admiration of everyone who knew him.

John had a bright, unforgettable smile that could light up any room. His warm personality, infectious laughter, and genuine spirit made everyone around him feel welcome. He was one of the coolest people you could ever meet—kind-hearted, dependable, funny, and always willing to lend a helping hand. His presence brought joy wherever he went, and he left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Above all else, John was a loving and devoted father. His precious daughter, Samiya, was the center of his world, and the love he had for her was beyond measure. She brought him endless pride, happiness, and purpose, and the beautiful bond they shared will forever remain one of the greatest parts of his legacy.

John leaves behind to cherish his precious memory his loving parents, Gloria Clark and John Mitchell; his beloved daughter, Samiya Moon Gloria Mitchell; his siblings; Monika Clark, Stephanie Clark, bonus siblings Michael Jackson and Keisha Slaton, and many more. Cherished nephews, nieces, and great-nephews; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were forever touched by his love, kindness, and friendship.

Although John's life was cut far too short, the love he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Our family loved John beyond words, and his absence leaves an emptiness that can never be filled. While we grieve this tremendous loss, we find comfort in knowing that his bright smile, generous heart, unwavering love for his family, and the countless lives he touched will never be forgotten.

Broken Chain We little knew that day,
