Club Grants The ClubGRANTS scheme is an important annual event where the Juniors Group of Clubs provides donations to local charities in the Randwick Council area. Our club is the largest contributor to this scheme and this year donated over $250k to 39 individual charitable organisations at the recent presentation night which was attended by local dignitaries, club directors, management, and the charities themselves. As a community club we love giving back to those who help the less fortunate and I applaud the work that these individuals and organisations provide for the local community. For a full list of the recipients please refer to page 31. Fitness Centre Upgrade Over the next few months, the Fitness Centre will be undergoing a $500k renovation and no doubt our members will embrace our new and improved fitness facility. The changes will be reflected in the all-new life fitness cardio equipment, all new hammer strength machines, upgrade to the group fitness room, new décor which will incorporate new lighting, sound, music, and phone charging bays. What we guarantee will stay the same is the fitness centre competitive all in one pricing, with over 50 classes each week included in your membership and of course our friendly helpful staff. Watch this space for all renovation details and reopening timetable. The Rabbitohs The mighty Rabbitohs fell at the final hurdle in their attempt to make back-to-back grand finals but nonetheless I am very proud of their efforts considering the change in player roster and a new coach. This was their fourth preliminary final in a row and a mighty effort indeed. I would also like to congratulate Cameron Murray, who was named vice captain of Australia, and all the players who made their respective World Cup teams, including Campbell Graham.

While the rolling lock downs of the past two years have impacted the social connection with our members and staff, it’s now time to come together and celebrate the joys of the upcoming festive season. Along with our usual array of entertainment and multiple food offerings, here is a glimpse of our special events and Christmas promotions happening across our three venues. Christmas Dinner at the Sundeck A new addition to our event calendar is the Sundeck Brasserie midweek “Christmas Dinners” which will be in our Glassroom over 8 nights in December. Relax and let our talented chefs take the fuss out of cooking whilst you enjoy the festive season here with your family and friends. Enjoy a drink on arrival, a three-course set menu and some Christmas choccies, all for $50 per head. The dinner is designed for groups to enjoy a night out at the club in the lead up to Christmas.
