FROM
SANJIV'S DESK President and CEO, Sanjiv Razdan
Dear Franchisees and The Joint Community, Active members remain the key driver of sustainable growth across our system. Every patient who returns to chiropractic care at The Joint represents an opportunity not only to improve their health and wellness, but also to strengthen clinic performance. When we successfully bring patients into our clinics, convert them to membership, and keep them engaged in ongoing care, Active Member Growth naturally follows. Our focus on Active Member Growth is reflected in many of the initiatives currently underway across our organization. While each serves a different purpose, they all support our ability to attract patients, strengthen conversion, and improve retention. Most patients come to The Joint seeking relief from pain and improved quality of movement. We envisioned and developed The Joint’s Move Score™ to provide a structured, consistent, and trackable way to measure patient progress throughout their care journey. Move Score is designed to strengthen patient engagement, improve retention, and support Active Member Growth by helping patients experience and measure the benefits of continued care. When patients can clearly see and understand how their pain is improving, they are more likely to move from one-time visits into a long-term wellness routine. This month, we will begin piloting the Move Score in five clinics and look forward to sharing results. Approximately 100 clinics have been beta testing C3, our next-generation replacement of AXIS Front Office, which was designed from the ground up with usability, intuitive workflows and an improved user experience. What makes this project especially meaningful is the collaborative approach that guided its development. Experienced AXIS users from across the system reviewed designs, validated workflows, and identified the functionality that would be most useful in day-to-day operations. We also conducted surveys, in-person discussions, and virtual feedback sessions to ensure the platform reflects the realities of how our clinics need to operate to best serve our patients.
BACK TO TABLE OF CONTENTS
Ultimately, C3 is about helping clinic teams spend less time managing processes and more time focused on delivering an exceptional patient experience. Read more about C3 and the work behind it on page 7. Members of the Executive Leadership Team and I recently hosted Listening Labs with franchisees in Dallas, Los Angeles and Phoenix. These in-person roundtable discussions provided a valuable forum for franchisees to share ideas, discuss opportunities, and ask questions, and the open and constructive dialogue has been tremendously beneficial. We are already identifying themes and insights that will help shape future decisions across the organization. This week, we are extending those conversations through our first CEO Connection Call with franchisees in NFAB Zone 1. Together, our Listening Labs and Connection Calls are designed to provide a true open floor for engagement, ensuring franchisees have meaningful opportunities to share perspectives, surface challenges and help influence our path forward. Looking ahead, the August $19 Re-Activation Promotion begins on August 3 and is designed to encourage former, lapsed and inactive patients to resume care at The Joint. By bringing former patients back into our clinics to remind them of the benefits of chiropractic care, we can create new opportunities to expand our active patient base through conversion and retention. Thank you to our franchisees, doctors, clinic teams and regional support partners for your commitment to serving our patients and advancing our mission. These initiatives are important investments in our future, and I am excited about the opportunities they will create for our system. Together we serve,
Sanjiv Razdan

June’s “Buy 5, Get 1” Wellness Sale Helps Patients Stay Committed to Care T
he “Buy 5, Get 1” Wellness Sale returned to offer current members a free month of chiropractic care with the advanced purchase of a five-month Wellness Plan. New for this year’s promotion is the increased number of clinics offering “Buy 5, Get 1 Free” year-round as a simple way to secure patient commitment and revenue up front. In March, franchisees were given the option to enable the offer as an always-on promotion, and adoption grew significantly across the system. •
In 2025, approximately 235 clinics were offering “Buy 5, Get 1 Free” ongoing.
•
In 2026, more than 400 additional clinics opted in, bringing participation to 633 clinics systemwide.
As a result, many patients took advantage of the offer before the promotion officially began on June 1. •
From January 14 through May 31, clinics sold 4,474 “Buy 5, Get 1 Free” Wellness Plans, generating $1.74 million in revenue.
With a substantial portion of sales occurring ahead of the promotion, the “Buy 5, Get 1” Wellness Sale still delivered a strong performance across the system. •
The promotion generated 8,073 total purchases and produced more than $3.1 million in revenue.
•
36.9% of clinics met or exceeded their revenue goal!
•
Congratulations to Dr. Connie Thiesen, D.C. and the franchisees and clinic teams in the Southwest region which led all FBC territories in sales!

C3 Beta Pilot Launches in Over 100 Clinics L
ast month, approximately 100 clinics across the system began testing the new C3 platform, the redesigned version of AXIS Front Office.
C3 was designed specifically around the Front Office workflows that are critical to clinic operations. It's built on a widely adopted, industry-standard development framework that follows established best practices for security, scalability, and maintainability. That foundation also gave us the opportunity to redesign the platform's look and feel, creating a more intuitive interface and a seamless user experience. The design reflects deep input from the people who know these workflows best. The CSC Operations team consulted extensively with experienced Wellness Coordinators and AXIS users, along with outside user experience and user interface professionals, to ensure C3 supports how clinics actually work. Beta test participants are actively using C3 as part of daily operations to ensure the platform will support our Wellness Coordinators. Test clinics are validating workflows, identifying issues, and suggesting areas of improvement. The C3 beta is expected to run through mid-July. Bob Keen
NOVEMBER 6, 1950 – JUNE 18, 2026
T
he Joint family recently lost a cherished member of our franchise community with the passing of Bob Keen on June 18. Bob was an accomplished franchisee and respected business leader, and his commitment, passion, and generous spirit was rooted in a deep belief in the power of collaboration and shared success.

"Bob was hard working, caring and had a great sense of humor. I have been blessed to share many years with him, especially at the Forest Acres location. Bob’s favorite thing to say to patients was ‘You don’t have to feel bad to feel better.’ Bob was truly one of a kind and will be greatly missed.” - Rose Karapetyan, Wellness Coordinator

I met Bob 30 years ago when we were Board members for another franchise. Over the years, our friendship expanded past business and into our personal lives. Our kids were around the same age, we traveled together with our wives, and we talked several times a week like best friends do. In 2012, David Glover introduced me to a new franchise he was investing in called The Joint Chiropractic. Neither Bob nor I had ever had an adjustment, but we knew a little about chiropractic. Only 18 clinics were open nationally at that time, and I decided to go see the only clinic open in South Carolina, owned by Mici Fluegge. I picked [Bob] up, we looked at the clinic and talked to Mici, and we both called the very few franchisees in the system. Bob was definitely worried about starting this new venture at the ripe age of 60, but we opened our first clinics in separate cities, three days apart, in December of 2012. What Bob loved more than anything were the people in The Joint. In the early days, Bob worked his front desk every day for months not only to save expenses, but mostly to get to know the patients personally. In 2026, many of those patients are still with his clinics and he knew them, their families, their challenges and their celebrations - and they knew and loved him.
In 2024, Bob was named Franchisee of The Year. He was so humbled and proud of his organization and the people that helped him achieve this honor because, for Bob, it was always about the others in his life. Bob often said The Joint changed his life. And while there were always challenges for him to worry over, he chose to focus on the best part of The Joint - the people. - L.S. Carper, NFAB President
There is a clichéd line that companies and employers say when they want to put their best foot forward to potential employees: “We’re a family here.” I never saw that embodied in pure truthfulness more than in Bob Keen. Throughout my eleven years working with Bob, I witnessed a man lead his business in ways that are not often seen today. Bob saw his staff first and foremost as his family and did anything in his power to help you through whatever hard time you were facing. That was amplified for me in 2022 when I attended my first national conference in San Diego. As I began to meet other franchisees and corporate employees, the answer was invariably the same when I told them who I worked for. “Bob Keen? I know Bob well. He helped me with…” The relationship was always more important than the outcome for Bob. When Bob and Janet were honored as 2024 Franchisees of the Year, the standing ovation and respect Bob received were overwhelming. Humble to the last, Bob didn’t help others to collect favors or win awards. He did it for the love of his family and friends. In 2015, I gained a new boss in Bob Keen. Somewhere along the line I stopped working for my boss, and the majority of these years I worked for my friend. I miss my friend. - Dr. Jeff Touchet, Clinic Director and Operations Manager for the Keens

Beyond the Adjustment:
Meet Dr. Nicholas Pyle, D.C. D
r. Nicholas Pyle, D.C. began his career as an X-ray technician but realized he wanted to play a more hands-on role in improving patient outcomes. Then, it was a simple decision to become a chiropractor. His grandmother and grandfather were both chiropractors and his great-grandfather, Dr. William Coggins, D.C., was Logan Chiropractic College’s third president for 18 years. In fact, Dr. Pyle was invited to speak and perform the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the dedication of the Coggins Education Wing at Logan when it opened in 2024. Dr. Pyle, or Dr. Nick as he’s known to his patients, graduated from Logan in 2019 and began working for The Joint Chiropractic – Litchfield & Waddell (AZ) in July 2023. “The Joint model opens the door for patients who might not otherwise seek chiropractic care,” he says. “It’s exciting to be part of something that reaches such a wide audience.” Dr. Pyle has special expertise in pediatrics, pregnancy, athletes, headaches and seniors with an additional area of focus in adjusting the shoulder. Even after more than 30,000 adjustments, there is no better feeling than when a patient expresses how much better they feel after receiving care. “Once, I adjusted a patient’s shoulder, and he said this was the first time he has been able to lift his arm over his head in seven years,” he recalls. “Another patient said that the shoulder adjustment helped her lift her arm over her head for the first time since 1984.” He also believes in the power of continuous learning and appreciates working alongside other chiropractors in The Joint’s open bay environment to evolve and adapt his adjustment style. “Learning never stops for a good chiropractor,” says Dr. Pyle. “Try to work with as many different DCs as you can. Ask questions. Learn new adjustments.” A former collegiate soccer player, Dr. Pyle spends his downtime fishing in the mountains in Arizona. He also maintains his own health and wellness through regular exercise, massage, weightlifting on a vibration plate, acupuncture, and other routines to stay in shape to help as many patients as possible.
Q&A with Dr. Nicholas Pyle, D.C. How do you build trust with New Patients? “Most patients just want to be heard. They need someone who listens and understands their problems. After that, chiropractic is the easy part.” How do you stay focused and engaged during high-volume days? “Have an intentional conversation with each patient. Asking about their condition or asking about their day and how it affects their pain can make each adjustment feel new and different.” How do you partner effectively with the Wellness Coordinator(s) in your clinic? “The Wellness Coordinators can be the biggest tool in helping us give quality chiropractic care to the community. Communication with the WCs should be constant throughout the work day.”

O
n June 18, Yosef and Sarah Perfido achieved an impressive franchisee milestone by opening their second clinic in less than a year. Even more significant, however, is bringing the first clinic location into a brand new market. The Joint Chiropractic – Warwick is the first clinic in the state of Rhode Island, and The Joint now has a clinic presence in 44 states. “We believe deeply in the model and in the impact chiropractic care can have on people's lives,” said Yosef. “Rhode Island is a state that deserves greater access to affordable, convenient chiropractic care, and we're proud to be the team bringing that opportunity to the community.” The Perfidos and their team hosted a Grand Opening event and Ribbon Cutting ceremony on July 9 alongside local officials, community leaders and The Joint's executive leaders, including President and CEO Sanjiv Razdan. “What excites us most is the opportunity to positively impact the community,” says Yosef. “We know there are people dealing with pain, mobility limitations, and quality-of-life challenges who may not currently have access to convenient chiropractic care. We're honored to be the first franchisees to bring The Joint Chiropractic into Rhode Island, and we're committed to building something that reflects well on the brand, our team, and the communities we serve.”

Where Care Begins: Getting to Know
Wellness Coordinator Christine Weber F
or Christine Weber, chiropractic care is more than a profession. It’s a significant part of her own life experience.
“I was a patient at The Joint first,” she shares. “I have fibromyalgia and was injured years ago. Other doctors wouldn’t listen to me, but my chiropractor did. It took me two years to walk again, but chiropractic is what healed me. I share my experience with patients because it's important that they know I’m not just trying to sell them something but that I believe in it with every fiber of my being.” That experience continues to shape her approach to patient care, but Christine’s professional life has always centered around caring for others. Before working as a Wellness Coordinator at The Joint Chiropractic – Bonney Lake (WA), Christine’s background spanned ministry, healthcare support and hairstyling, and she has held leadership positions, including overseeing more than 30 staff members. “Serving people is what I was created to do,” she explains. “When you see the heart of people, it’s easy to have compassion, respect, and honor toward the ones you serve.” “I can't say enough about how enthusiastic and involved she is in every aspect of clinic operations to make our business successful and, at the same time, help people genuinely,” says franchisee Dr. David Lee, D.C. Christine’s focus on creating an environment that feels welcoming and supportive has contributed to notable growth in active members, conversion, and new patient visits. Another defining strength is her commitment to continuous improvement. She’s known for her curiosity and thoroughness, often taking the initiative to conduct deep research to stay informed, prepared and ready to support both her team and her patients. Christine brings energy, attention to detail and a belief that every interaction matters. “It’s our job to help heal them: mind body and soul,” she says. “Be excited about your day. Be excited about the people coming through your door.” Outside of the clinic, Christine is newly married and loves spending time with her family, including her husband, children and grandkids. She is a huge football and MMA fan and enjoys singing and writing music.
“Every single person that walks through your door deserves your best! Your greeting and smile sometimes change their whole world.” – Christine’s advice to a new WC
