Dear Franchisees and The Joint Community, I am excited to share some recent updates that reflect our continued momentum towards reigniting growth across our system.

Earlier this month, we launched our new brand awareness campaign, “Life, Unpaused.” As we have previously shared, our market studies show that pain is the predominant reason that people seek out a chiropractor, and nearly 80 percent of The Joint’s new patients come to one of our clinics to find relief from pain. With these insights in mind, we are pivoting from a broader wellness-based message to a clear, relatable and focused message on how The Joint gets patients out of pain and back to doing what they love.

“Life, Unpaused” is meant to educate prospective patients about chiropractic care and The Joint much earlier during their process of deciding how to treat their pain. I invite you to read more about the campaign’s creative strategy on page 7 and view the available creative assets that can be downloaded from Dokshop and used locally. When every clinic delivers the same message, we amplify our impact, increase brand recognition and build trust with our patients. Let’s remain aligned and consistent with our messaging so that we can experience meaningful results.

Through August 19, there are 79,230 app enrollments, including 12 percent of our active plan members, and over 122,000 mobile check-ins.

We are preparing to launch new enhancements, all of which were developed based on patient feedback.

Some of the new features that patients will see in their mobile app include:

Complete visit history for the past 12 months and the opportunity to download visit notes, receipts and important digital forms.

Please continue to engage and actively encourage patients to download the mobile app. Patients should know that the mobile app will connect them with our services and brand in a convenient, meaningful way.

We are entering the final week of our Back to Wellness Sale and there is still opportunity to offer lapsed patients a path back to routine chiropractic care before the promotion concludes on September 3. This is also the first chance for us to offer Wellness Plan Kickstart Pricing options alongside promotional pricing. Let’s maximize every patient interaction and utilize the tools and resources that the CSC has developed to focus our effort and energy on a strong finish.

n 2024, 82 percent of The Joint’s new patients visited their local clinic due to pain. When pain strikes, we are forced to pause the activities and hobbies we cherish the most while we seek out relief.

Earlier this month, The Joint launched its new creative campaign - “Life, Unpaused” – which shows that life’s best moments don’t have to be interrupted by pain.

Instead, The Joint is there to provide relief where and when you need it.

Creative Approach and Concept Pain is a universal motivator that creates a sense of urgency across all audiences. When you’re in pain, you want to find a solution – fast. In addition, people don’t want to miss out on life’s best moments because of pain. “Life, Unpaused” achieves our goal to exist in consumers’ minds as the first choice for pain relief and also plays into relatable emotions of feeling stuck when pain strikes.

Conversion Rates Not Impacted by Kickstart Pricing The chart to the right outlines average Wellness Plan conversion rates over the past three months. Conversions increase during June’s “Buy 5, Get 1” Wellness Plan Sale, then increase again in conjunction with the start of the Back to Wellness Sale on July 31.

The pattern is the same across all clinics, no matter the level of engagement with Kickstart, indicating that the softening is more likely due to typical post-promotion trends. The data is consistent with the results from the Kickstart pilot program.

Clinical Excellence: Dr. Meaghan Campbell, D.C. The Joint Chiropractic – West Ashley (Charleston, SC) Nominated by: Jenna DeSanto, Operations Manager Dr. Campbell is passionate about patient care and education and is constantly evaluating each patient’s treatment frequency, pain levels and daily activity to provide personalized care for every patient. The attention she gives each individual patient even resulted in a lifesaving cancer diagnosis for a patient after Dr. Campbell flagged some symptoms and encouraged the patient to pursue additional testing. Her energy and upbeat, positive attitude can be felt throughout the clinic every day. In her spare time, Dr. Campbell enjoys traveling, photography and volunteering for animal rescue organizations.

Community Outreach: Dr. Jonathan Carlos, D.C. The Joint Chiropractic – Palmdale (Palmdale, CA) Nominated by: Bryan Linares, Wellness Coordinator Dr. Carlos’ commitment to community outreach has brought in new patients, expanded awareness of The Joint and the benefits of routine chiropractic care, and positioned the clinic as a trusted, visible part of the community. He sets up informational booths at every type of community event, including a local “Lucha Libre” event, and partners with other businesses, such as local gyms and medical facilities, to educate patrons about The Joint. He also manages the clinic’s Instagram profile and posts relevant seasonal and community-based content, including patient testimonials. In his spare time, Dr. Carlos enjoys staying active through basketball, boxing, hiking, and even unicycling!

Patient Service: Dr. Triton Ivie, D.C. The Joint Chiropractic – Taylorsville (Taylorsville, UT) Nominated by: Madeline Massey, Wellness Coordinator In July, Dr. Ivie saw over 1,000 patients with a 74% conversion rate as a result of his dedication to providing every patient with personalized care. In every interaction, he goes beyond the adjustment to answer questions, offer detailed explanations about the adjustment and ensure each patient feels comfortable and educated. His commitment also extends to the clinic team’s experience, and he has helped guide the staff to exceed promo goals and prior year conversion rates. Dr. Ivie graduated as class valedictorian from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa in 2020.

Path to Profitability Program Points Clinics Toward Sustainable Success T

he Path to Profitability (P2P) Program was developed as part of The Joint’s priority initiative to support franchisees in improving unit-level economics. P2P asks franchisees and clinic teams to adopt a “back to basics” approach that focuses on consistent execution of proven guidelines and best practices in order to achieve sustainable growth and increased profitability over time.

Since launching in September, nearly 200 clinics in the system have successfully completed the P2P program and have seen meaningful increases across several key metrics.

P2P Committee Introduces Monthly Webinars for Participants The P2P Committee continuously evaluates opportunities to enhance the program’s offerings to participating franchisees and clinic teams. Earlier this year, they introduced a monthly webinar series designed to provide foundational knowledge and education around important aspects of effective clinic operations.

• Marketing topics have focused on best practices to increase leads through social media, how to use Google Business pages to conduct hyperlocal marketing and an overview of the Marketing Opportunity Analysis (MOA) Planner.

• The CSC Recruiting Team has shared insights on DC recruitment and utilizing JazzHR. • Operations topics include utilizing reporting to connect in-clinic behaviors to results and outcomes.

Through the P2P Program, clinics are adhering to consistent practices that will build a strong foundation toward renewed, sustainable success.

He is the sole chiropractor included in the article, noting that side sleeper pillows typically need more loft or height. The article reached over 39 million readers.

Local Clinic Teams Support County’s Employee Wellness Event L

ast month, Tabatha Hill from The Joint Chiropractic – Bluffton (SC) and Rachel Spinks, who works at The Joint Chiropractic – Savannah Twelve Oaks (GA) and The Joint Chiropractic – Pooler (GA), represented the brand at the Chatham County Employee Appreciation and Health & Wellness Fair in Savannah.

The event welcomed over 2,200 Chatham County employees and provided them with information about health, wellness and community resources. DC Profile: Dr. Adam Granville, D.C. The Joint Chiropractic – Omaha L Street (NE)

W

hile playing football as an undergraduate at Nebraska Wesleyan University, Dr. Adam Granville, D.C. suffered a severe lower back injury. Chiropractic allowed him to get back into playing shape and he wanted to help people feel better and improve their quality of life in the same way.

Dr. Granville graduated from Cleveland University-Kansas City in 2022, then began working for The Joint in April 2024.

“I love The Joint’s mission statement. It really resonated with me and is how I want to practice in my career as a chiropractor,” says Dr. Granville. “The Joint gave me the opportunity to offer affordable chiropractic care to a wide range of patients in the Omaha community.”

Dr. Granville’s passion for The Joint’s core values combined with his emphasis on chiropractic education has been felt immediately within the clinic environment by new and existing patients as well as the other doctors and Wellness Coordinators.

“Every second we have with the patient is time that we can use to help them understand their body, how it works and how chiropractic can help them stay out of pain,” says Dr. Granville.

Dr. Granville loves to eat spicy foods and is steadily trying to increase his tolerance for spice. His favorite book genre is fantasy romance and he had a pony growing up.
